FLASHBACK 4 Years: Blockchain-Backed Collectible Avatars Coming to Reddit

Four years ago Reddit announced Reddit Collectible Avatars to much fanfare. A single day record would be reached on December 4th of that year when almost 255,000 were minted.

While the program has now come to an end, its legacy lives on through our memories and the friendships it inspired.

We mourn this lost world together.

Void went to the vet, left his trousers behind.

Think he looks pretty stylish and his medication patch is like a badge on his jacket. He’s recovering beautifully from surgery on both legs.

Edit - Ok didn’t expect this post to be popular. Thank you for all the well wishes. Thank you for all the belly laughs. And thanks for the awards.

He is being such a good boy. Behaving himself, accepting of every pat and stroke with a purr and is super chilled out.

It’s winter here, but never truly cold although we are keeping an eye on his comfort and he has access to plenty of blankets and one of my hoodies to cuddle up to.

I’ll post some progress pics as his fur grows back - the thickness of his coat - my finger width on his back - was really surprising.

Edit 2 - The patch with writing on his shoulder is a fentanyl patch that contacts directly to his skin.

Edit 3 - for clarification, his name is Winston.
