To trim, or not to trim?

We have this callery pear (?) in our front yard. It recently lost a couple fairly large branches in a wind storm, and I noticed this crack afterwards when I mowed around it. It flexes a lot in the wind. Should I go ahead and drop that branch at the break?

Anyone else’s fuel economy taking a dip lately?

2018 Limited AWD, put some fresh tires on it a couple months back and have seen average MPG gradually dropping from 18ish to now around 15.5. I know new tires increase rolling friction but I wouldn’t think it would be that noticeable. I wonder if some of it is higher ethanol content in the fuel?

Anyone else fighting weird signal issues since the switchover? My phone doesn’t like our T-Mobile 5G home internet system anymore either, fights it.

I have an iPhone 14 Plus that was originally on USC. Never had a problem with our T-Mobile 5G home internet system, but ever since the buyout/switchover happened, if I’m connected to the internet it will just randomly quit loading every few minutes. If I disconnect from the internet it will work off data fine, but I no longer have strong signal in places where it used to be great, which doesn’t make sense because it’s the same towers, right? Anyone else seeing similar problems?

Looking at buying this 1890 tudor. Possible foundation issues, plus it needs a bunch of other work. Bad idea?

Listing price is right, but I’m afraid it’s going to need at least $60k in repairs. Last two photos seem like foundation issues, needs a few new windows, all upstairs flooring and kitchen (living and dining have original hardwood underneath the carpet!), plus there are a bunch of water stains and some mold on ceilings and walls upstairs. On top of all of that, the HVAC doesn’t work, there’s a massive pool out back that is currently a mosquito pit and a hot tub doing the same.

We love the size, layout is a little quirky but workable, and it’s on a big lot in a great location.

Are we getting in over our heads if we put an offer in on this place?

Tornado-warned supercell north of Hutchinson KS [06/10/26]

Radar indicated a lot of rotation and a funnel was reported but no significant damage reported; good bit of hail and this spectacle of a lightning show was what this cell provided. As seen from my front porch outside of Newton KS.

All I want is to be financially comfortable. Not even rich, just comfortable.

Instead, I get a yearly raise that works out to an extra $88 a month, and then a week later I get a letter saying our mortgage is going up by $111 a month. Our fuel bills have gone up. Food costs have gone up. Electricity is going up.

Something has got to change.

Propane range seems to have more orange in the flame than normal. Should I be concerned?

Whirlpool range, unhooked it last week to pull it out and deep clean it, had a mouse. Is this bad, and if so what do I check?

Low speed steering wheel wobble and pull to the right - tire? CV shaft?

Anyone ever seen this before on their Flex? 2018 Ecoboost AWD for reference.

Don’t forget to change your differential fluid and your ATF and filter, ladies and gents.
