Preface. Not a wnba fan (from seattle, when we lost the sonics I stopped caring ablut basketball to include the storm).

So me, diablo nerd since the beginning.

Play diablo 1 like crack as a kid. D2 comes out its newer digital crack. Lod mooooar crack.after 2003 i get a girl and a job that snowballs into life as an adult but almost annually id fire one of these fuckers up for a playthru or a months binge. I think i finally tried D3 back during quarantine which was pretty and veeery different but (from what i read i missed a loooot of wtf times with the game) i got kids now and since they enjoyed it it was a fun way to connect my kids with my childhood. Never touched immortal. Diablo 4 announced so I pre order. Play thru once and couldnt have been more bored, annoyed and happy I managed to finish so I didnt have another game join the roster of "games I paid full price to hate an never finish" but its firmly in the "well....I beat it but im never touching that shit again" roster. RotW releases and im back into long playing sessions...think the last time I was active in d2 would have been seasons 7 and 8. Season 13 blew me away, I made a warlock but aside from using him to kill travincal when id do group hell rushes I was me as always, sorcy main. What I fucking looooved were shards and heralds. Season 14 kinda killed the vibe, I haven't touched since the first week. I don't like how common shards are and I hate new herald loot drops and how tedious fighting them has become...different strokes and all, so don't take this as me hating, im not, I just don't like which direction they took those 2 aspects. Noooooow im still geeked for more diablo so I decide to do some original diablo gaming. Fun enough but god walking sucks. Get devilutionx...my guys....if you remember diablo 1 with nostalgia and you haven't tried this mod, youre doing yourself a disservice. Shits awesome. It took a day or 2 of randomly trying to figure out gog (I love them but their ui seriously sucks balls) to where I got Belzebub mod to run. Not very far but so far...pretty gd cool. So whilst not as knowledgeable about it as opposed to devilutionx id say the same thing, if you liked the original and haven't tried this mod, you reeeeally need to pull the trigger its great. Noooow if someone would take the best parts of both of these and combine them that would be about the raddest shit since pockets on jeans.

Tldr if you haven't tried these mods and you played and liked the original, try them.

Taking a break from d2, new patch made heralds and TZ go from digital crack to me to curing my addiction. So I decided to play diablo 1, crack back in effect.

This morning I get Belzebub from gog...and i can't find it? Like I got a receipt showing I have it but I can't find any way to access it/download it/install it. Anybody know wtf i need to do? Im perplexed and want to try some new slaying

Got a Ber rune, a Lo and a fistful of Ohms. My first ever SOJ actually found 3. 2 grandfather's. 2 windforces. Arch. Griffin. Completer all class sets except that GD griswold helmet, previously I had pieced together aldurs a bunch of times and tals twice so it was insane to complete them all multiple times for me. Found 2 laten sunders, fire and bone after the update and none before.

Ive cleared acts 1,2 and 4 and currently starting act 3. I do not want to clear act 5 at this point and want to do some key farming so looking to shave 2.5 hours off this full pop.

Ive spawned 11 heralds and drawn ire for a 12th. Its me and my horker mule account so p3 would be in effect.

Why 87? Because im hunting runes and grail items not heralds.

New to horking, and ive noticed sometimes bodies persist longer then others. Anyone know what drives this? Im aware exploding or shattering bodies removes them. But sometimes ill clear a pack of 20 monsters and bring in my horker from 2nd computer and all bodies are there to hork, sometimes just a few. Its something I can't figure out yet and if someone has insight they could share id appreciate

Killing and skills and resistance are NOT a factor, but hitting at least 105 fcr is.

I have noticed when I do shard pop full act or full game clears I get bogged down making sure I find all the rocks, stashes, chests, urns, baskets and barrels as I clear. So im contemplating creating a pure mf sorc to tele thru aaafter I have McWasted all of the monsters.

I dont think this will at all speed the process up, but I think it would help my focus. And since im playing thru only worrying about killing 1st and then playing again with no worries other the teleporting and popping that it would make an enjoyable experience more enjoyable. So, for people who push MF% can I realistically hit 5,6 or 700% again i don't push beyond 200% ever so don't know. Appreciate gear selections

Not complaining, but just realized...I have cleared 34 areas and just got my 2nd and 3rd ire in my current game. Full clears of these areas so, blood moor, chaos sanctuary as well as each level of the tower im calling an area. Got one in the cold plains and honestly the stretch without ire or heralds I just mind blanked that I wasn't getting shit.

Again, not a complaint rune drops are going well enough that no fucks are given. Just a thing to maybe have someone with shit heralds luck today to see and be able to say 'at least im not that guy'

Read a thread about IK barbset, which is the budget gear i have on standby when he hits 76. Told it will do just fine. Clear TZ travincal and then Tz arreat plateau+acheron. Have barb following (such an awkward thing to go back forth monitor to laptop and swapping which mouse im using) so its slow going. Anyway, only had him hork the council, 5 or 6 champions and 2 heralds and i hate all of you. I didnt get any good items or new chronicles checked off...but holy fuck....raining sets and uniques just from that little bit of working. Seriously, my first time Horking and over the course of like 15 bodies I pick up 6 set and 4 uniques....on top of what they dropped the first time I killed them.

You all knew horking is great and talk about it...but you didnt get it thru my thick skull **just** how ridiculous this skill is.

So ive mentioned in previous posts about how I LOVE the shard system. I never knew how much I enjoyed acts 1 and 2. If im not key farming, doing telebaals, im just dinking around shard popping these acts happy as a clam because I have found the best loot in my d2 gaming experience doing full clears. Works for me.

But ive noticed, I haaaaate crypt and mausoleum dungeons. They're massive. Fine, I like that. My main is a nova sorc without sunder, so I have to swap to my FB sorc or lock to clear them. Fine, it breaks monotony. My problem is the amount of barrels hiding behind pillars...I spend more time then I want scrolling over and over with the mouse to make sure I dont miss one. Then, the way the map works...because of how tight everything is and how large the dungeons are, ill accidentally miss an area because it looks like ive cleared it on my map. Which has led to me clearing the dungeon, then teleporting over it a 2nd and a 3rd time to ensure everything is dead and every container is open.

Just a rant. But god damn, these 2 dungeons can fuck all the way off
