Oops… Everyone Heard Me

I had one of the most embarrassing moments at work yesterday.
I was in the fitting room when my manager asked me to jump on register and told me to call the associate running my rack to take over the fitting room.
Nobody had ever shown me how to use the phone. I picked it up, dialed the 3 digit number my manager told me, and suddenly I heard my own voice blasting over the entire store.
I completely froze and just said, Hello?
Then after a couple seconds I realized everyone could hear me and I panicked, said, “Shoot,” and hung up.
My manager ended up making the announcement instead.
Please tell me I’m not the only one who’s accidentally embarrassed themselves over the store intercom on their first try 😂

Done with day trading: Why I’m betting my last capital on $SAFX long term

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my story and a turnaround thesis I'm betting on. I recently lost almost everything day trading. It was a brutal lesson, but it forced me to stop chasing daily charts and start looking for true long-term value. I carved out a small, strictly limited portion of my savings to build this position, making sure my primary emergency fund stays completely safe and untouched.
Here is why I am putting my conviction into XCF Global ($SAFX) as a high-upside venture bet for the next 3 to 5 years:
The Sector is Mandatory: Every major sector eventually gets its breakout leader (like Tesla or Nvidia). I believe sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) will be that next massive sector because airlines are legally forced by governments to cut carbon emissions.
The "Survivor" Thesis: Many of you saw that their merger partner, DevvStream ($DEVS), was recently delisted from the Nasdaq for failing to stay above $1. Instead of panicking, this actually triggered my buy signal. It proved to me that SAFX is the true, stronger anchor of this merger. It owns the physical asset—the New Rise Reno refinery—which is already running and on schedule.
No Reverse Split Needed: SAFX was granted a massive Nasdaq extension until December 7, 2026. This gives management a huge runway to close their 3-party merger, scale their $1B revenue target, and push the stock price past $1 organically without resorting to a reverse split.
Management is Protecting Shareholders: They just legally canceled a toxic $50M financing line that would have flooded the market with 55 million new shares. A company trying to scam retail investors doesn't intentionally block its own dilution.
My Plan: I currently own 900 shares at a clean $0.43 average. I am planning to buy my final 100 shares on the next minor dip to hit a flat 1,000 shares, delete my trading apps, and let this ride as a long-term play while my remaining cash stays safe in the bank.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the SAF sector macro outlook!

Is this a glitch?

I was originally scheduled to work on the 28th, 3rd, and 4th. But when I checked the app the next day, those shifts were gone, and under the ‘Find Work / Cover Shift’ tab it says, ‘Schedule is not published for this week.’ Is that message shown to everyone when the schedule hasn’t been published, or just to me? My concern is that after tomorrow’s shift, I’m not even sure if I’m still scheduled to work on the 28th.

$15 for this?

Last time I grabbed them, they filled the palms of my hands. Now I just use my fingers.

As perfect I could as for…

My birthday is on June 29, and somehow I ended up with 4 days off and 25 hours that week. It’s like management said, ‘Here’s your birthday present’ 😂. I was originally scheduled for only 19.5 hours, but I picked up an extra shift on the Sunday before my birthday. Now I’m looking at a 12-hour-and-15-minute day and wondering how the breaks work?

Overloaded

Could this be more of a BOH issue where there’s simply no room left? The boxes were all over the floor because the baskets were already packed and couldn’t hold any more. I ended up loading them into a shopping cart and leaving it off to the side because I had to clock out. Hopefully someone with some common sense makes room for them this time. Honestly, I blame whoever kept forcefully stacking everything up more than the customers.

Will I get points for dropping a shift?

The other day I picked up an extra shift, but later realized I couldn’t actually work that day. I wanted to drop it, but I was worried I might get attendance points or get in trouble, so I ended up going in anyway

Is this legit?

I’m paying almost $40 for Astound monthly and saw this sign was wondering if this is a real deal…
If not what companies are offering cheaper internet right now?

Post Sunday storm

Not sure if other stores do this, but we come in to carts in the fitting room full of merchandise collected from the floor the previous night that the morning team has to sort.

Cashiering question pt 2

Two scenarios, how would you proceed step by step with split payments like 50% card 50% cash and giving a customer or employee discount into the system? Thanks

What should I do?

I was scheduled next weeks Thursday 2:30pm-6:30pm but i picked an open shift for 10:15am-2:30pm so the first end shift is the same time as the second second start shift. Should I clock out then clock back in or work straight and take the 30 minutes break? If I clock out then i won’t have to take the break right?

How to proceed?

Women’s shoes became a nightmare recently and it’s not as simple as flipping the toes out and go to the next aisle. What do you see and how would you approach it for smooth recovery?

I hate those security boxes

Whenever a customer buys a fragrance while I’m ringing, I always seem to get stuck trying to open the security case. I keep forgetting the correct angle to place it on the magnet, and I’m usually hesitant to ask another cashier for help because they’re busy too. Any trick on how get over it for a smoothly transaction?

Why would they do that?

I mean I know that’s Burlington for me. I’ve been scheduled 22-30 hrs consistently for the past month and all of sudden I’m dumped with a bucket of water of 12hr…is it because of the new hiring in June ? Now I’m going to have to go on an hours-hunting spree in the app to make up for the missing hours

Is this a good plan?

I’m rebuilding after losing my savings through trading. I’m working part-time, still behind financially, and my mom is helping with part of my rent. Thanks to that support, I’ve saved about $900 in the last two months. My plan is to hit $1,000 for an emergency fund and then start investing $100–$200/month into VOO. Would you start investing at that point, or keep building the emergency fund first?

Cashiering…

After ringing for a while, does anyone else start getting a sixth sense about which transactions are going to turn into an adventure? Coupons, checks, missing cards, returns, price checks you know the drill, I mean i don’t want to go profiling here but sometimes could be them and you try to avoid them at all cost 😂
