Starting to think full-time isn’t worth it for me

Lately I’ve been realizing that if my part-time hours stay around the 20–30 hour range consistently, I don’t think I’d take full-time anymore. Full-timers at my store seem to average around 36 hours, and for me that extra few hours doesn’t always feel worth sacrificing flexibility and recovery time. I actually like having the possibility of 3 days off sometimes instead of 2. Anyone else feel this way or change their mind about FT?

Stuck in Fitting Room

I’m mainly a sales floor associate, but lately they’ve been putting me in the fitting room way more often and I barely work the floor now. This week I’m even scheduled 5 days in fitting room.

Part of me doesn’t mind because I don’t have to deal with the constant mess on the sales floor, but fitting room can get exhausting too with nonstop customers bringing piles of clothes to try on.

Would you complain about it or just go with it since the hours are there?

Is it too late to start saving?

I’m 41, single, and after making financial mistakes through trading, I basically lost everything. I’m currently working part-time retail because it was the only job I could get. It still doesn’t fully cover my rent, but I’m trying not to give up.

Even while being behind financially, I’ve started saving a small portion from every paycheck because I realized waiting for the “perfect moment” or a better job might keep me stuck forever. So far I’ve saved around $400.

My mom has been helping me with part of the rent, and honestly that support has helped me stay afloat. Other than basic transportation and food, I barely spend money.

Calling Out Sick 2 Hours Before Shift Bad Look or Understandable?

I called out sick about 2 hours before my shift today because I’ve had an ongoing fever/cold for the last few days. My MOD was actually cool.

I rarely call out though — the last time was once back in December. So basically only twice months apart.

Do managers usually see that as understandable, or does calling out close to the shift still create a bad perception even if you’re genuinely sick?

How the heck do you find something on the zebra using the items care label accurately I tried putting in the sku, class and style field but nothing was found. At this point is a guessing game. And on top of that I was asked to do a whole rack for kids while being in the fitting room where customers won’t stop showing up

I’m 52 points away from a free meal. If I buy a meal today, can I use the reward on a second meal in the same transaction, or do I have to wait until my next visit?
