Need help with a P0301

Hey y'all,

Got an '08 (123,XXX mi) with a P0301 that I can't resolve for the life of me and it's draining my will to live.

- Compression test and leak down both look stellar
- Recently had her walnut blasted and swapped out injectors/seals with Corksport.
- Mechanic looked over wiring and said everything looks good from what he can tell.

My mechanic thinks it's the spark plugs, even though he pulled them and they're clean and apaces to spec. Thoughts?

[UPDATE] AIO Neighbor decided to move her trash bins to our side yard.

**UPDATE:**

Sooooo... I never heard back from my landlord regarding the official property lines. Early Sunday I ended up running into my neighbor's daughter and was going to bring up the bins, but she beat me to the punch. Apparently after 6 years of her Mom keeping her bins in the driveway, it was suddenly an issue for the HOA and they forced her to move them. The HOA refuses to allow her to clear the bushes blocking her patio exit, so she has nowhere else to store her bins (her garage being to tight). Her daughter said she understood why we wouldn't want them there and said she was working on cleaning out a space for them in the garage. We agreed to assist with moving them to the curb since my neighbor is like 70 years old and apparently just had a fall. She pleaded with the HOA to allow her to continue storing them on the driveway, but they don't care. They'd rather see a poor old lady physically struggling to pull her bins past the sprinklers, up the little hill and off the curb. Thank God I didn't do any of the things y'all said. 😅

**ORIGINAL POST:**

Our development just got repaved and after we were all able to pull our cars back in, our neighbor decided to move her trash bins to our side yard without running it by us. They'll need to walk across our front yard/past our bay window everytime they take out their trash/recycling and again when the pull out/return the barrels on collection day. Wife and I are both annoyed, but I'm not sure if we're just being petty. Are we overreacting?

EDIT TO CLARIFY: HOUSE ON LEFT WITH STRING LIGHTS IS US, HOUSE ON THE RIGHT IN PIC THREE IS THEIR HOUSE.

Recommended breweries in this area (other than Humble Sea)?

Was going to stay in the East Bay to hit up Wondrous, Cellarmaker and Brix, but there was a chance of plans.

Tax penalty for lack of insurance in CA

So, I was laid off in February and I am set to start my new job next week. I never signed up for insurance through the state while I was out of work because, quite frankly, it slipped my mind, but my new insurance won't kick in until 8/1. Will I pay a pre-determind amount or do I pay per month I was without insurance? Just want to make sure I'm committing a little extra to cover cost when I file and I'm trying to determine how much extra to commit.

Thanks in advance.

Need advice to negotiate compensation package.

Hello all,

I received an offer earlier today that I am pretty excited about overall. Decent starting base with unlimited commission, solid car package and eventually profit sharing. There's one issue... all of that kicks in Q1 of 2027.

The offer is as follows...

- $29 an hour for the first 120 days. After 120 days there will be an aptitude test and should I pass, I will be bumped up to $31 an hour.

- In Q1 of 2027 I will be given an established territory that I will be expected to grow. With this comes a guaranteed commission and car package that will get me to the doorstep of six figures.

My question to you all is this. If you were in my shoes, and were not satisfied with just a ~$60k salary for the next 6 months, how would you approach that conversation and what would you ask for? I think it's most practical to ask for the car package to vest day 1 since that's how my other outside sales roles have done things... but how would you approach that topic and get that little bit extra?

This is a new industry for me, with a steep learning curve and a retiring outside sales rep in place, so there's no chance I get to dig into the territory any sooner.

Anyone every work for Paychex? Interviewing Monday and I'm hoping for some insight.

After being laid off in September '25, and again this past February, I've yet to find my next gig. I've had some offers that weren't a fit for me and have been passed over by some potential employers that I felt *would* be a great fit. Needless to say, it's been tough. Which brings me to my question... I have an interview Monday for a AE role with Paychex and I was hoping any current or former employees on this sub could shed some light on working there. Based on the job listening and everything their recruiter said, it seems like a high earning potential position with some room for growth.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I appreciate all of the responses. I know posts like this probably aren't super popular here.
