It Came From the Desert wasn’t just a game… it was an interactive B-movie masterpiece! 🐜🦂

Long before cinematic games became the norm, It Came From the Desert on the Amiga was blending action, storytelling, investigation and giant mutant ants into one unforgettable adventure.

Inspired by classic 1950s monster movies, it had everything—race against the clock gameplay, creepy atmosphere, multiple endings, explosive action and enough oversized insects to give anyone nightmares!

If you owned an Amiga, chances are this was one of those games that proved just how far ahead the system really was.

🎮 Did you manage to stop the invasion… or did the ants win?

If this ThunderCats catalogue landed on your doorstep… your parents’ wallet never stood a chance! ⚔️🐱

This wasn’t just a catalogue—it was the ultimate wish list.

Every page was filled with ThunderCats figures, vehicles, playsets and gadgets you had to own. Hours were spent circling favourites, planning birthday lists, and dreaming about owning the entire collection… even though most of us were lucky to get one figure!

These catalogues are pure 80s nostalgia and a reminder of when imagination did the rest.

⚔️ Which ThunderCats toy did you always want but never got?

ThunderCats… HOOOOOO!

If You Owned These Beetlejuice Toys… Your Childhood Was Wonderfully Weird! 💀🪲

Before Beetlejuice became a modern hit all over again… he was the king of weird ’90s toys.

From the bizarre action figures to the creepy graveyard playsets and that unforgettable bone-rattling car, these toys were as wonderfully strange as the cartoon itself.

Parents probably looked at them and wondered, “Why would anyone want this?”

Kids looked at them and thought…

“I NEED ALL OF THEM!”

These were the toys that turned bedrooms into haunted graveyards, living room carpets into the Neitherworld, and imaginations into something delightfully spooky.

The best part? They were weird… and we absolutely loved them for it.

👻 Did you own any of these, or were they still sitting on your Christmas wish list?

🐭 Mickey Mouse Didn’t Just Star in Cartoons… He Starred in a Gaming Masterpiece! 🏰✨

Back in the 16-bit era, this wasn’t just another licensed game…

It was one of the greatest platformers ever made.

From the moment Mickey stepped into the enchanted castle to rescue Minnie from the evil witch Mizrabel, you knew you were playing something special.

The stunning visuals, magical soundtrack, hidden secrets and unforgettable levels—from the toy room to the candy world—showed exactly what the Mega Drive was capable of.

For many of us, this was the game that proved Disney and SEGA were the perfect team.

Be honest… where did you play it?
🎮 SEGA Mega Drive
🎮 SEGA Genesis

And did anyone else spend far too long bouncing on those giant sweets? 🍬😂

BurgerTime Had Us Running for Our Lives… Just to Make a Cheeseburger! 🍔😂

Long before Cooking Mama…

Long before Overcooked…

There was BurgerTime!

Your mission sounded simple: build giant burgers.

The reality? You were being chased across ladders by killer hot dogs, eggs and pickles! 🌭🥚🥒

Armed with nothing but a handful of pepper and lightning-fast reflexes, you’d squash your enemies beneath falling burger ingredients while desperately trying to finish each masterpiece.

It was weird.
It was frantic.
It made absolutely no sense…

…and we couldn’t stop playing it!

💬 Who remembers spending hours trying to outsmart those evil hot dogs?
Or did you play BurgerTime in the arcade before it came home?

Before Spider-Man Ruled PlayStation… He Was Swinging Across the Atari! 🕸️🕹️

Long before open-world New York…

Long before Marvel’s Spider-Man…

There was Spider-Man on the Atari 2600.

Back in 1982, web-swinging up skyscrapers, dodging the Green Goblin, catching crooks, and racing to defuse bombs felt absolutely incredible. It was simple by today’s standards, but at the time it captured everything that made Spider-Man one of Marvel’s greatest heroes.

Those chunky graphics, the iconic Parker Brothers box art, and the thrill of running out of web fluid are memories many gamers will never forget.

It wasn’t flashy…
It wasn’t realistic…

But it was one of the very first superhero games to make us feel like Spider-Man. 🕷️

Wings — The WWI Classic That Had Every Amiga Owner Hooked! ✈️🔥

If you owned an Amiga in the early ’90s, chances are you remember the adrenaline rush of Wings by Cinemaware.

Dogfights in fragile biplanes, bombing runs, strafing missions, and a surprisingly emotional campaign that made every fallen pilot feel like a real loss. It wasn’t just another flying game—it was one of the most cinematic gaming experiences of its era.

For many gamers, Wings proved that video games could tell unforgettable stories long before modern graphics and cutscenes.

Did you ever make it through the war… or did the Red Baron always get you? ✈️👇

Who Else Played Smurf: Rescue in Gargamel’s Castle on the Atari? 💙🎮

Long before open-world adventures and online multiplayer, there was one tiny blue hero on a massive mission…

Smurf: Rescue in Gargamel’s Castle had us dodging danger, avoiding Azrael, and racing through Gargamel’s spooky castle to rescue Smurfette—all on the humble Atari.

For many of us, this was one of our very first licensed video games, and just hearing the word “Smurf” instantly brings back memories of Saturday morning cartoons and hours spent glued to the TV.

Simple? Yes. Frustrating? Definitely. But we’d happily play it all over again.

Did you ever complete it… or did Gargamel always win? 💙👇

🚨 JUST HIRED THIS FOR THE WEEKEND… CAN’T WAIT TO SIT DOWN WITH THE FAMILY AND WATCH WATERSHIP DOWN… 🐇😌📼

What could possibly go wrong…? 😅

If you grew up in the UK, you already know this wasn’t just a cartoon—it was a rite of passage. Countless childhoods were left emotionally scarred by what parents genuinely thought was “a nice film about rabbits.” 🥹💔

Beautiful animation, unforgettable music… and enough trauma to keep an entire generation talking about it decades later.

Who else watched this way too young? 🙋‍♂️
