1/1000 could use your help

We thought we were in a pretty good spot, but then it turns out about double the amount of paint we needed which turned out to be an expensive proposition in order to get our beautiful bird ready for your wishes. We know everyone is balls out and getting ready to go but if you've got a couple bucks to throw our way, we would be very grateful.

WTH DXF?

i have a file created in Fusion360 pro version and exported the flat pieces into CorelDraw for culling vectors for machine cutting and in several places with an order I don't understand, some of the bolt holes did this. Not all, just some... I'm manually cleaning them up -- BUT, is there something going wrong that I can fix/ preemptively manage?

oh the radiator ...

So I opened up the radiator fill it with coolant and rev the engine the radiator bubble slightly.

We've replaced the water pump, and there is a slow leak somewhere in the radiator system. Currently I am just routinely dumping coolant in and carrying enough in the car to refill it when it randomly decides to overheat (more frequently in summer )

I am told that there is a magical additive you can throw in there that eventually fucks everything for every part of your system, but finds the leak. I do intend to drive my 2013 into the ground, and removing the engine and resurfacing the head gasket feels like an expensive/significant job, without fully understanding where the leak is...

What do you think it is and what do you think I should do?

Creative replacement.

I have the third pin-nailed shut window double glazing double hung window crack in the middle of the night when I'm in bed and live alone.... The glass can STILL be replaced but it's a 200$/window fix to surgically cut the window and remove it. I would rather not do this as while the windows are only 3-4 years old, I'm going to rip them out and get a proper window set (4) with replaceable glazing.

SO, I want to create an acceptable solution; by trimming the broken glazing with a glass cutter and silicone gluing an arty color plexi cover piece ( glued to the frame) until more breaks and it becomes reasonable to rip them all out.

  1. will trimming the glass in this way destroy the outer glazing panel? 2) any pitfalls or known issues for this kind of fix?

The moral of the story, is if you buy new windows, make sure that you can open and replace the glazing anytime you want.

Prep Cocktails

OK someone told me that the prep was going to be the worst part of it. And I'm sure the pooping for days will be super fun in a few minutes. But, I wanted to share that adding pulpless coconut water (2oz) and a dash of EmergenC (1/2 tsp) to each of the 8oz doses in various configurations improves the taste significantly.

I'm also told ginger ale is helpful as well-- what have you added to your Prep to make the experience more novel/improved?

Pastoral and Frank Lloyd Wright fan piece

Two pieces here; one being a pastoral oil (east coast auction), and the other being an architectural collage referencing Frank Lloyd Wright (Wisconsin provenance.)

All I do understand this does happen in non-autistic relationships, I'm feeling like the autism might be playing apart and as someone who is probably autistic/audhd to some degree, and currently dating a card carrying autistic, I have reached the end of my rope/impasse in knowing what to do with something and I'm hoping for some perspective. I'm not looking for "Dump them" advice or shooting from the hip, as leaving this relationship would actually be catastrophic to everything I know in a way that cannot be frivolously considered.

The issue here is that I keep getting compared to his previous partner. Like, I think even for the first five years of this relationship he kind of even low-key hated me, for this reason. They were their first loves they have deep mutually meaningful connection and she has most certainly moved on with her romantic life (though I would still believe them too have a non-sexual non-romantic relationship) And it still comes up even though we've been dating for over 5 years. It feels like this comparison is a real barrier to connection.

It came up yesterday where apparently I was just being compared to again (this time I wasn't poor enough to understand-which wasn't even close enough to the reality of my lived experience) and I was never going to be good enough/able to understand because I was never this previous partner(and frankly can't be, as we are very different people and I'm OK with that.)

And I'm trying to find a way to bring up this comparison and wondering how much of it is autism and how much of it is humans not connecting well. And if either how to address it? it is hurtful to be living consistently in shadows of ghosts of relationships.
