I found four of these six species in Virginia this year!

Hopefully, drawing these guys can summon them in real life! I've seen tons of cool snakes, but never a copperhead.

I can't stop smiling! Timber rattlesnakes are one of my favourite finds. D​espite their poor reputations (due to having evolved one of nature's most fascinating defenses), they r​eally don't want anything to do with humans, and aren't a threat if you are cautious and stay away.

All three were minimally bothered - just moved off the roads and to safety in the woods.
