Baby back pork ribs. My first smoke ever.

Seasoned with dinosaur bbq rub, then put on my 22" inch kettle to smoke for 5.5 hours. I did the snake method and kept it between 255-267 the entire cook. Spritzed it twice with apple juice. Wasn't really sure what to expect because it was my first time, but I think they came out pretty good. Really tender. Next time I think I gotta rotate it half way through the cook. Other than that I think it was a success and I'm excited to try so much more with this. Cheers

These might be my least favorite trucks to drive

I cannot stand trucks that have this windshield wiper system. How in gods name did this get approved to work safely in. A third of the windshield is not useful at all. No, cleaning it off doesn't help. Absurd lol. What's your least favorite thing about some of the trucks?

Great Lake tributaries are paradise

I'm happy I was able to get this fish to shore after I was an idiot and forgot my net. The water is still a bit cold for this time of year usually, but they'll be in thick sooner than later. Grateful every day to live near a creek with such an abundance of species. Second fish of the year for me on my second time out.

I'm so excited for summer beers like this

They haven't released this in 30 years. I had to grab a pack! A lager infused with honey sounded pretty damn good to me. It's larger forward with a light honey aftertaste. They nailed it! Genny rarely disappoints.

Poached eggs on a cutting board? What could go wrong

Went to brunch this morning for mother day. The food was good, but this felt 1000% unconventional lol

Made a homemade salsa last night on the grill and decided to do some breakfast tacos

I recently acquired a Weber kettle. I usually roast my veggies or do them on the blackstone. I am extremely pleased with the depth of flavor that the charcoal grill produces. Filled up over a full mason jar. This is a pineapple salsa. Served it with carne asada. Cheers.
Serving size: 1/4 cup
Yield: 10 servings

1/2 of fresh pineapple,(substitute 14.5oz can of pineapple if needed)
2 bell peppers
4 Roma tomatoes
1 beefsteak tomato
1 small red onion
4 garlic cloves
green chiles or Serrano
1 jalapeño
2 Poblano
2 tbsp oil
Fresh cilantro, chopped
2 lime, squeezed
1 tsp Adobo seasoning lemon pepper
Salt to taste
1tbsp Cumin
1/2tsp Pepper
3/4 tsp Smoked paprika

Grill all veggies. Dice pineapple and set aside. Add spices and blend veggies. Add pineapple snd cilantro then stir. Let sit for 30 minutes before serving.

My second cook on the Weber went well. I love how hot the charcoal gets and how well I can control the heat. Decided to do a salsa before I cooked the steaks. That came out great as well. I'm in love with this grill, cheers.

I'm the guy from last week that found a Weber kettle on the side of the road ready to be tossed. I got new grates and the basics. Did wings for my first cook with the vortex method. They came out fantastic. This grill cooks extremely even. I was impressed. The range and potential this grill has for any type of barbecuing is immeasurable. I'm hooked. Cheers.

P.S. yes I did cook these a little more to carmelize and crisp them up, forgot to take a final pic lol
