So they made this is Gen 8. And were like, okay so a 120 BP move that raises your Special attack before attacking. We need to make it a 2 turn move AND give it a chance to miss to make it balanced.

Then the next Gen they make Archaludon. Give it the same move, except its 10BP stronger, cannot miss and is a 1 turn move in the rain 🎉 Its like that Daniel and Cooler Daniel meme.

But I guess rock hitting more types than electric counts for something. I still hate Archaludon though.

Just remembered he exists. We all laughed at his ability in Reg M-A but surely now that either Grimmsnarl or Sableye are in almost every game he becomes a little bit more relevant.

(N.B: His Mega ability is Infiltrator, which allows him to ignore Screens, Safeguard and Subsistutes. With screens obv being the most useful to ignore)

His stats are honestly not too bad either. Massive special attack and decent bulk, minus the tiny base HP. Sadly he's in the usual awkward speed tier. Slower than most meta threats and yet too much speed to run in Trick Room.

What do you guys think of Mega Chandelure into this Meta.

72 hours later and the story is over.

According to Steam I'm in the 8.7% of steam players who have finished it. Spending more time on the game itself than the story is probably the better way to play anyways.

I wouldn't say the story is bad, just... a bit confusing. Like, Kliff just going along with everything whatever person who magically appears asks him to do. Not a single question. Go collect my balls, go tame a dragon, go fight Thor the god of thunder and other crazy enemies. And he just does it.

Another question I have is if all the powers he has in gameplay are just there for gameplay. Because he never uses them in any cutscene. He just beats up gods with his fists or a sword and shield. But the witches and wizards are real, so why aren't his powers? Am I missing something.

Also, the companions. Extremely underwhelming i have to admit. They're kinda just... there, mostly. Oongka shows up multiple times at the end to help Kliff when they never really discussed any of this supernatural stuff did they. One second we're fighting in a war with regular ass bows and arrows and the next we're slaying a biblically accurate angel on a Dragons back. Like surely SOMEBODY needs to take a second to try and wrap their head around all this. And as for Damiane, idek tbh.

I probably have a lot more questions but I cant quite remember them all. Anyway, what are your thoughts on the story. And if you happen to have any answers I missed in the story because I lowkey dissociated at some point, please give them to me.

Overall, really great graphics and views, extremely entertaining skill tree (like seriously, there's so many skills. I'll never get tired of Suplexing enemies), boss fights.... eh, story, eh. At the end of the day, im glad I played it.

The amount of people clicking fake out into the giraffe this season is staggering, I like free turns but come on. I'm assuming they're all new Champions players who havent gone against them before but at the same time its happening in MasterBall 4. Surely by the time you win enough to get there you've seen enough Farigirafs and intuited that fake out doesn't work. 🥹

PS: They're signature abilities, Armor Tail and Queenly Majesty block ALL priority moves. So if the move description has +1 and above do not bother. And also if your mon has the ability Prankster.

He instantly forfeited. And i would have too if that were me.

On one hand I feel so bad for him, but on the other hand it was funny as hell and also its Zard Y Venu so kinda deserved 🥹

I was kinda surprised by how well this team turned out. The most surprising being H Decidueye, I used to give him flack but he actually puts in work here.

He outspeeds and threatens Kingambit with an OHKO turn 1 while Farigiraf sets up trick room. He can handle Incineroar since Intimidate doesn't affect him but he's in the same speed class as Incineroar so its not as clean. Plus he has a grass move so I can actually hit annoying Mons like Rotom wash and Milotic.

Lopunny is there cuz I think he's kinda neat.

Farigiraf is Farigiraf.

Pelipper is the goat. No tailwind, just killing Mons who dont resist his Weather ball. Plus U turn for slow pivoting into Blastoise turn 1 while keeping Blastoise at max hp. He usually has focus sash to guarantee survival but I wanted to try out even more damage.

I think we all know what the fish's deal is. Hate him or not, he gets the job done when you need him to.

And finally, the main damage dealer Blastoise (when Pelipper doesn't steal the spotlight). Water Spout is insanely broken, if its Mega ability affected it as well that would be a sight to see.

Bro thought he was so smart bringing Tinkaton so he can Fake out through Armor tail too.

But he ignored the Pelican shaped Elephant in the room 🐐

It went: Man, I'm dead -> Wait, someone dodged -> Oh its Farig -> Hold the phone, Blastoise lives somehow (was +1 from Dragon dance) -> Yh, saw that one coming... -> Aaand he's dead to sand.

Kinda crazy that there's a chance +1 Mega Ttar. STAB doesn't kill from that range though.

Steel types increase in weight cuz of Heat Expansion.

Dragon types lose HP cuz they're cold blooded. Technically this should apply to all reptiles/amphibians but eh.

And finally a whole new Weather. The first thought in my head was Light based moves disable the weather but that would make it so bad for no reason. Also, fuck Mega Floette.

I also thought of it giving Bug types some kind of boost as well but who rlly cares abt them amirite.

Like, 3 separate beneficial effects and the mon its on still manages to be mid lmao. Its kind of impressive if you think about it.

Grass fighting might just be one of the worst defensive typings. Fire, fairy, psychic, poison and worst of all 4x to Flying which is on almost every team lmao.

What do you guys think of H-Decidueye. I think he's cool but he's always just getting most down to 10% health and then exploding in return.
