Eufy lock offline and I can’t get it online. Support says buy new you are out of warranty

I have a 2 yr old eufy smart lock with finger print. It lost connection to wifi and even after resetting I can’t get it online. The support was useless and instead looking for resources they simply pointed me to my expired warranty and suggested buy a new one. What’s the point of adding waste, why can’t they have some troubleshooting done to fix things that maybe just a software bug. I would hate to throw away a working lock if the software can be fixed. What’s has other done in this situation. Whats would you suggest.
2 the battery won’t last more than a week now. My initial guess is it might due to the device trying to connect forever.

Subpanel install and EVSE install plan for owner puller permit? Can use advise to make this easier.

https://preview.redd.it/lmcqjqtq5f8h1.png?width=990&format=png&auto=webp&s=5d5cbc5baf653c63be77e66f312aade3a25e0228

This is my proposed plan that i want to submit with the epermit app. Few questions and any suggestions welcome. FL

  1. Do i need a junction box where the EVSE whip (with flex conduit) goes from outside the drywall to inside cavity before entering subpanel. The conduit it came with is black thin conduit. https://iyilo.shop/products/iyilo-pro-ev-charger-level-2-hardwired-with-energy-meter-48a

  2. Any obvious code related improvements or suggestions. I will add the smaller 100A subpanel and the EVSE and move some circuits to make space for feeder breaker and whole house surge protector.

Any feedback on Turanza ED tires for Florida weather

My factory tires are coming to 5 yr mark with front balding more than rear- i rotated once as my service shop kept skipping rotation for one excuse or other. How are these set of tires from Costco. Shows all good specs and 80k mile warranty- highest on what available on Costco now. They had Michelin on the rebate till last month but now it’s on Bridgestone.

Thinking of DIY subpanel install - help plan sizing the breakers and wires.

Hi all, go easy on me!

Planning a DIY subpanel (pull permit myself) to clear space in my main panel for an ABB whole-house surge protector (needs 2 spaces), a feeder breaker, and a new EV charger. I used Draw.io to sketch out my layout over the actual panels.

My standard load calc puts me exactly at my 150A main service capacity, so I'm using an EMS-based EVSE to dynamically manage the load and avoid tripping the main and avoid service upgrade. The main panel had already lot of wired from Lumin monitoring installed on the right side (not shown)

I’m torn between two options and want your input:

  • Option A (As pictured): Put a 100A feeder breaker in the main panel (#3 AWG Cu through the lower conduit) and run the EVSE breaker directly out of the subpanel alongside the 7 relocated household circuits. - lot of pigtail in main and movin them to subpanel with the horizontal conduit.
  • Option B: Keep the EVSE breaker in the main panel, run a much smaller feeder (60A or 70A) to the subpanel, and just use the subpanel to house the relocated household circuits 7+4. This leaves more breathing room in the main for the surge protector but also move a lot more smaller circuit wires ( hot, neutral+ground for each circuit based on my research).

My questions:

  1. With a tight 150A main service and an EMS, is there any code or thermal advantage to keeping the heavy EVSE load in the main panel vs. the subpanel?
  2. Any issues routing those 7 branch circuits through that upper horizontal conduit link?
  3. Which setup is cleaner/safer when operating right at service capacity limits?

Appreciate any critiques on the layout or design! Yes AI help me draft some of this, but I added more details i need help with.

Disable rear heat button- child proof?

Is their a setting somewhere to disable the back seat heat buttons. My kid keeps playing with it turning on and teasing me while driving that he ‘can’t turn it off with his foot’ 🦶.

Would like to disable as we won’t use heat most of the year-Florida.

New to me Ariya Serive or inspection

I got a used ariya premier and been using for 3 weeks now and all seems fine. The original 3 yr 36k warranty is still left for maybe ~10months. What would you all suggest to get checked or inspected at dealership. I called the dealer and they said there is no open campaigns or recalls to worry. But as I got it as it. I am afraid of something show up auger the warranty expires!

How to identify the wire gauge on a30a socket for 40amp upgrade

Hoping to use existing wires but upgrade breaker and socket to 14-50amp for ev charging (max 32amp). I see a cut ground that I would use to ground the box or front plate. How to find the wire size without cutting and unscrewing.

Tracking charging energy!

It was easy to track gas cost for monthly fill but I want to track charging energy for ariya. How do you all Ariyan’s track you total energy used for charging. As we plug to charger any time and it resets the average mile/kWh etc. is there a feature in app that can log total kWh used (or used for charging) in a day, month, year?
