I CANNOT wait for my Two Point Pickle plush 😭💚

Just got the email that my payment for the Two Point Pickle plush was completed and I’m way too excited 😭💚 Look at his tiny face!!! I cannot wait for him to arrive and join my collection. He’s so stupidly cute. I need him immediately.

Can anyone share their experience with feline dementia?

We made a vet appointment for our 14-year-old cat because we're starting to think he may have dementia.
Lately he's been acting differently. He doesn't seem to recognize the smell of his brothers anymore, including his littermate, and the fighting and fearful behavior between them has gotten a lot worse. He's also been having accidents right next to the litter box, almost like he knows where it is but can't quite figure it out. He's stopped grooming himself as much as he used to, too.
The weird thing is his appetite is still completely normal. He still gets excited for food and seems to be drinking normally.
For those of you who've cared for a cat with dementia, what were the first signs you noticed? Did your cat's relationship with other pets change? Was there anything that helped make life easier for them? Looking back, is there anything you wish you'd known sooner?
We're hoping the vet can help us figure out what's going on, whether it's dementia or something else. In the meantime, I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences. Thank you. ❤️

I Broke the Rule for This Pot... But Look at It 🥹

I know self-watering pots aren't usually recommended for Venus flytraps, but I couldn't resist this one. 😍 I'm giving it a try and will be keeping a close eye on her. She's only getting distilled and rain water, and if the pot doesn't keep her happy, she'll be getting evicted.

I can't stop looking at it. The more I stare, the worse it looks

Looks like three different hair appointments happened at once

How are you all parking at Fat Boys Burrito(Bellmore)?!

Maybe a weird question, but where does everyone park when going to Fat Boys Burrito in Bellmore?
Every time I drive by, it seems like the place is absolutely hopping, and I end up doing the slow "maybe a spot will magically appear" crawl around the block.
Do the regulars have a parking strategy, or do you just embrace the chaos?
Also, when's the sweet spot for going? I'd love to try it without standing in a line that wraps around the building.
Signed,
A burrito enthusiast trying to plan ahead.

Day One for “Big” Bertha the Venus flytrap

Yesterday I picked up this little Venus flytrap, along with a rosemary and lavender plant. This morning I moved them into some direct sun and mentioned to my partner that the rosemary looked like it needed water.
His response: "Big Bertha does too."
I was confused for a second until I realized the flytrap and rosemary were sitting next to each other.
So apparently my Venus flytrap is named Big Bertha now. 😅
I'm completely new to flytraps. She's currently in a south-facing window, going outside for some air for about 2 hours, and I'm working on getting distilled water and the right soil. Any beginner tips or things you wish you'd known when you got your first flytrap?

Bathroom refresh in progress - purple was before, Behr Watery (HDC-CT-26) is after (still drying/blotchy). Last photo is with the lights off.
Now I’m stuck on the ceiling. The current ceiling white feels really stark/sharp against the softer blue + gray tile in person.
Would you:
keep the ceiling white but switch to a softer/warmer shade like Behr Snowy Pine (PPU10-13)
or paint the ceiling the same blue for a more cohesive look?
Trying to avoid the super harsh “builder white ceiling” look, and the sloped ceiling is really throwing me off 😅

I have two dogs and I’m trying to figure out if I’m overthinking their dynamic or if I should step in more.

Brown Dog (BD): Chi mix / Mexican street dog, a little under 3 years old, about 29 lbs. He has a very gentle, patient, timid personality and honestly acts like a big cat (he grew up with 3 cats).

White Dog (WD): Beagle/Pit/Australian cattle dog mix, a little over a year old. Very stubborn, high energy, impulsive, and has the attention span of a gnat.

They’ve lived together as “siblings” for almost a year now. They don’t fight, and at the end of the day they often lay near each other or sleep close by, so there is definitely some comfort there.

My concern is that WD tends to take toys or items directly from BD, but BD never does it back. They also don’t really share toys or play together with toys. It feels more like WD claims things and BD just allows it.

Because BD is so passive, I worry he’s getting pushed around and I’m missing subtle bullying behavior. On the other hand, maybe this is just normal age/personality differences between a younger pushy dog and an older mellow one.

I’m also struggling with WD in general because he’s extremely stubborn and hard to redirect/focus.

Does this sound like normal dog behavior, rude puppy behavior he’ll grow out of, or something I should actively work on now?

Any tips for helping them build a more positive and balanced relationship would be appreciated.
