Not what I was hoping for of course but nevertheless he is much loved!

*NO FISH WERE HARMED BY MY DUMBASSERY. The second i saw them i shut the pump off and drained the filter, they came right out the waterchange spout into a cup, right back with their buddies. Surface skimmer has been swapped out for a standard intake tube.

Stocking:

8 pygmy cory

6 sterbai cory

2 baby siamese algae eaters (on loan, taking care of some bba that started to creep in)

1 reticulated hillstream loach (getting 2 more today)

1 synodontis petricola

1 female platinum dumbo ear betta (until her 15g countertop tank is cycled)

1 blue mystery snail

1 ramshorn snail

Rehoused to 8x6x6, deep substrate, pre-started tunnels, lots of clutter, a touch of frog moss and some springtails. She looks so tiny in here! (Looks on the damp side, covered everything with a fine mister but will only mist the moss and overflow her waterbowl a bit from here on out🤙)

Male first, female 2nd. Tried for 45 minutes to get a less washed-out photo of the male, to no avail. But his tail is as bright as the females belly.

New 40 breeder being cycled, only inhabitants are plants and a couple ramshorn snails. I have cherry and gold barbs, some baby yoyo loaches, a young panda garra, 2 banjo catfish, a trio of flame honey gourami, some peacock gudgeons, and a school of corys that will be added gradually, currently in another tank. I will for sure be adding a decent school (10 or so) glass catfish. HOWEVER i am toying with the idea of a big tank of all nano fish, boraras, ember tetras, pygmy corys, a bunch of otos. Maybe badis? What would you do?

Fresh molt, starting to show a bit of orange. The darker patterns are really starting to pop too!

Please do not mourn, for death by cuteness is the best way to go!
