Anyone else’s payment for online shop not go through this morning?
Tried to call the payment line but was on hold for 40mins - tried again and it hung up on me! Just want to get my shopping today. Anyone else having issues or just me?

Hi all - just had to take a set off early due to repeated pop offs, and was planning to put on a new set tonight but my nails are looking a bit rough and flaky. Is this a normal amount of damage? I try not to use force and just soak them off gently but some need a cuticle stick wiggling under them to loosen. I am using cuticle oil/hand cream now to hydrate.

I’ve recently started using press ons with glue, and think I am doing OK with the application and removal process.
However I’ve noticed my nails looking a little rough after removal. They are mostly fine, I give them a buff and use a good nail cream/put on some strengthener for a few days before putting on a new set, but I’m worried that with each set I’m thinning my natural nails and they’ll become more damaged as time goes on.
Does anyone have any hints or tips for preventing nail damage when removing press ons? I’ve tried both using a dedicated press on removal fluid and the soak off method with warm water/dish soap/oil and haven’t really noticed a difference between them

I saw these while I was out buying toothpaste and liked them so much I decided to try them despite not having worn press ons since probably 2010 😄 how did I do? I spent quite a long time shaping them by filing but think I could’ve gotten a better shape on the thumbs by clipping them, my cuticles are weirdly straight.
Not too worried about longevity as I just want to see how I get on with them first (I’ve realised I do lots with my hands, like gardening! I do wear gloves)

My line manager at work is performing badly. It’s an office job so they get away with a fair bit of what appears to be dicking around, a tiny bit of work and a load of waffling. 85% of emails go unanswered, tasks go unfinished, they don’t bother learning about the work areas they should know about. They are coasting with a capital C and me and the rest of the team are having to pick up the slack so we don’t piss off our clients.
What’s the best way for me and colleagues to deal with them? I’m starting to think we need to copy their line manager into everything so they can see how little they are doing and how much is being dropped. Has anyone had to deal with someone like this in a senior role? Looking for tactics to help preserve our sanity, thanks!
Evening all - I’ll be spending 4 days in July in Liverpool and am planning my itinerary. I’ve got the below as a starter for 10 but am keen to hear if I’ve missed anything essential for someone with similar interests (art, crafts, history esp. social history) or alternatively if there’s anything here I should give a swerve - thanks!
- Walker Gallery
- Western Approaches
- Ferry trip
- Museum of Liverpool
- Lady Lever Gallery
- Port Sunlight
- Liverpool Cathedral
I’m sure this won’t be controversial at all!
For me it’s those chocolate covered Twirl bites - don’t know why chocolate covered chocolate is so delicious but once they’ve been opened, I have to scoff the lot.
