How likely is occult tethered cord?

Hi all! Not looking for medical advice of course, but I would love to hear experiences of those with occult tethered cord.

I have May Thurners ( treated with a stent), pelvic congestion syndrome( treated with foam), dysautonomia ( NCS) among others and am not experiencing pelvic pain relief after a stent. I am doing diagnostic testing for lots of things to see if something else is going on. I got a back MRI and Dr. Klinge reviewed it, negative for tethered cord. My care teams for May Thurners ( MIPS in Denver) wants me to see Dr. Klinge in person but it will be pretty inconvenient to see her in person and I have no sense of how likely occult tethered cord is. I can’t see my care team for a while to ask questions.

Those will occult tethered cord, what are your symptoms?

Anyone else dealing with post stenting May Thurners pain?

Hi all! Specific scenario but I have found a fb group for may Thurners to have such wide ranging experiences of this disease, many of which are not pelvic floor related so I thought I’d try here!

Dealing with chronic pelvic pain for a few years ( mostly hypertonic, pain with penetration, general heaviness/ pain, constipation and bladder symptoms) and found out I had may Thurners which I had resolved via stenting. I also have a pelvic vein embolism.

My doctors are a bit stumped as to why I haven’t had symptom improvement and are sending me to get a slew of testing for other conditions. I’m doing it, but feeling a bit like it is a wild goose chase. Is anyone in this boat? What helped?

Orthopedic surgeon for knees

Hi Bozeman! Please let me know your recommendations and experiences with orthopedic surgeons in town. I had hardware put in for a knee ( shin) break before moving here and am having some pain still and want to understand options for hardware removal or additional treatments besides the conservative PT etc since my original surgeon can’t follow up with me. Navigating medical care is so complicated, thanks for helping out! :)

Electrolyte Win!

Hi everyone! Recently diagnosed with NCS and working on upping my salt consumption. I am taking Thermotabs too and more salt generally. I’ve tried a lot of electrolyte powders etc and while they are pretty good, they get pricey. I used the LMNT ratios for salt but wanted something to make it taste good that I didn’t have to think about much. I bought lime crystal powder, lemon crystal powder, stevia, coconut water powder and tangerine powder from nuts.com (not sponsored but I wish lol) and wow!!! It’s so yummy! I am getting the ratios right but pretty soon I’ll have my own powder!!

What soil?

I’m in Montana and it’s close to planting season ( crazy late overall season but alas) and I have a big planter bed (32 cubic feet) that I am building that will be my only container besides a mint pot that will hold co planted herbs, tomatoes and others.

I’m overwhelmed by my soil options. What do people recommend? Could I get away with a mix of compost, gardening mix and dirt from someone tearing out their lawn? Should I get all raised bed soil? What ratio of compost should I shoot for? I’m trying to minimize costs but want things to live.

Help me pick some high reward plants!

I live in Bozeman, MT which is zone 4B and have a north facing porch that receives little direct sunlight. We are not past the frost date and I’ll be buying plants. After rather little success in a Denver 7th floor south facing balcony that battered and dried almost everything, I am once again ready to be hurt again by container gardening. I have the books and a surge of springtime optimism, so tell me some reasonable achievable plants. I currently have chives and mint in separate pots that look like they might make it. What other plants would you recommend I start with? The rest of the garden is likely to be in a big cedar box so companion planting suggestions welcome! I’m thinking lettuce, kale, some herbs perhaps, maybe a tomato?

( pic is of sweet potato and tomato plants that were relocated to a friends off the Denver balcony when I moved)

Help with step 9

I am making a basic pair of kids pants ( butterick B7034) and am getting confused on step 9. I know it’s getting the 2 legs to become pants. Do I need to put one pant inside the other? Something else? It just isn’t making sense to me. Thanks for helping a beginner out!
