Has anyone taken PSY210 with Leonore Morgenstern?

She doesn't have any reviews on rate my professor and I haven't seen any posts about her on this sub. I'm currently enrolled in a section with Stephen Maret, but I would like to get an earlier class if possible which is why I'm considering switching.

Constant clicking/popping noise in ear after getting sick.

I had a sinus infection about a month ago. During that time, I blew my nose a little too hard and suddenly my right ear hurt for a couple seconds, and I heard a gust of wind rush through. After that, I could hear a steady flow of wind in my ear for a while, but then it eventually went away. I got over my sinus infection after a few days, but ever since I blew my nose, my right ear has been clicking especially loud and often when I yawn or swallow. I know these things are normal, but like I said, it’s especially louder. I don’t know if this is something to worry about because it’s not exactly THAT bothersome but it does make me worried for air travel

I have a flight in October and I’m deathly afraid of what will happen. My ears feel full even when I’m in a tunnel or train. I don’t want to suffer from hearing loss or constant discomfort in my ears.

“Enemies” to lovers recs?

I put enemies in quotations because I don’t actually mean real enemies, not sure how else to word it lol. I want something like Nibutani and Dekomori from Chuunibyou. Just some idiots who bicker but will eventually fall in love with each other.

Increased sensitivity to noise?

I’m in the middle of recovery… I don’t really even know if it’s working out or not. Though I find that loud noises, such as dishes clattering in the sink, people talking loud, being at a concert, etc. really, really sets me off. The other week I was at church and when somebody spoke into the microphone, it was so loud and for some reason it made me feel like I was having a panic attack. My heart was pounding. When it’s loud, I flinch or I kinda have to close my eyes and hope that it just ends. But at that time, it was so bad that I had to excuse myself to the bathroom and wait until it was over.

I don’t have any prior history with loud noises. No PTSD, no trauma, or anything. I was always a bit sensitive to them but it was never so bad to the point where I’d even think to make this post. Now it is. When my stress and anxiety is at its peak.

Is this normal?

Any bands like Charmer?

I really like the songs Windbreaker, Track and Field, and Doom. Honestly if there’s any band that gives off their album “ivy” I’d love to hear it

Seems like it won’t end

I am exhausted. It feels like I’m having a heart attack or a stroke but I’m literally just laying in bed trying to fall asleep… my chest has this stabbing pain that reaches to my upper back and now I’m nauseous. These panic attacks happen the most when I’m trying to sleep and I often need meditation videos to listen to while I sleep.

The panic attacks could happen during the day and eventually it’ll calm itself down but right now it doesn’t feel like it’ll end.

These past few months I’ve been on and off with bad anxiety attacks, a type of anxiety I hadn’t ever dealt with before until now, and it only very recently started to seem like it was getting better. I was going outside more, hanging with my family, and making plans with my friends. I thought things were getting better and now I feel like I’m back to square 1.

Maybe it’s bad because I’m battling a sinus infection right now. I know it’s not anything crazy but when you’re coming down from constant anxiety attacks for like three months straight, I swear ANYTHING can set you off… it sounds stupid, really, and I often question when it got like this. HOW did I end up this way?! I just don’t understand why so many negative things are happening at once… is it gonna end? Is it normal to be so affected by things like this?

do I have meningitis

Hi, I know this is stupid but things haven’t been so great lately and I feel like I’m spiraling with each thing that happens to me.

Since yesterday morning I’ve been dealing with neck pain on the left side. It hurts to turn my head left, right, and up. However, I can turn my head down fine. Even when I’m looking straight ahead, it hurts. It’s been a day and the pain is still here. I’ve never felt like this before, a constant pain like this throughout the day, so much so that I don’t even want to sit at my desk. I’ve been in bed the whole day.
Right now, I’m getting nasal drip. My right nostril is running a little bit and it’s slightly clogged. I don’t have any other symptoms but I feel like they might appear... I’m also vaccinated.

I know from this description it doesn’t really seem likely but I’m freaking the hell out. Health anxiety is so annoying

Clip of poof silently raging for like minutes

I don’t remember what video it was but I think he was repeatedly slamming something, probably his controller, into his desk or wall in complete silence. Anyone know the video? Sounded like he was beating someone to death 😭

Slightly high T4

Hi. I 19F don't know if I'm overreacting and if i should be concerned, but I have terrible health anxiety.

My TSH is at a 1.440 with a ref range of 0.450-4.500. T3 free at 3.2 ref range 2.3-5.0. T3 at 117 ref range 71-180. T4, free, direct at 1.63 ref range 0.93-1.60.

Is this something i should be worried about? At the end of March, I had a CT contrast scan and I'm not sure if that's what contributed to the elevation in my T4 level. I'm constantly feeling sluggish these days and extremely sleepy throughout the day. My heart rate has also been at a constant 80-90 bpm when only sitting. I also don't have any prior health issues or conditions.

I don't know if this is because of my thyroid, or if it's some other problem like a vitamin deficiency, lack of mobility, anxiety, etc. All of which are possible. I just want to know if that slight increase in my T4 levels *could* be contributing to that. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hypnic jerks costing me my entire sleep

This is just a vent. I have been trying to sleep for the past 9 hours and within that time frame I have only really slept about 2. I kept waking up from these hypnic jerks, where I’d feel a sensation in my chest and I’d HAVE to move or the sensation won’t go away. It kept happening for hours. This has been happening for a while, and it actually stopped at some point but now it’s back and I don’t know what to do. It’s so annoying. I think it may be anxiety but it’s not even like I’m having a panic attack, it’s just a lingering feeling in my body that won’t go away. Now my left ear is ringing and all I wanna do is sleep but I just can’t.

Why do we seem so “smart” or just naturally good at things in our dreams?

Just gonna put this out there. In my dream, I was giving a speech at my high school graduation and I was saying the most profound and insightful things to the audience, things that I probably couldn’t have come up with myself in real life. I didn’t stutter once nor was I nervous and I remember feeling really emotional.

A few nights ago I had another dream that I wrote a song and it was SO good. I can’t recreate it because I don’t remember what it sounded like, but I know that I really, really liked it. I kept creating more and more songs that I wish existed in real life.

So why do dreams like this happen? I obviously can’t do any of these things in real life, and like I know I wouldn’t be able to freaking fly or parkour from building to building in real life, but when I have dreams like this it makes me wonder how capable the brain really is. Like I probably COULD make a great song in real life if I knew how to, and I COULD write a good graduation speech.

Lower back and core stretches?

I’ve been doing some at home stretches that I think are all targeting my upper back/shoulders area which is good, but I’m wondering if my core and the rest of my back should be engaged too. I’ve also been looking up exercises and they all seem to only focus on the upper part of the body.

Withdrew from a course last semester, failed it this semester

I’m screwed. I definitely flunked it because I just calculated my grade and I was way below the passing mark. I’m a first year. What do I do? Do I just change my major at this point??

I was prescribed 40mg to take every morning to help my acid reflux and I think it’s been working thus far, but it’s also been causing some issues within my stomach. Abdominal pain, constipation, bloating… my doctor told me to stop taking it. Today is the first day, and I’m just wondering if there WILL be any rebound acid, or how bad it is.

Hi, as the title says, I’ve been extremely bloated and constipated every single day. The bloating gets worse the more I swallow which is kind of an issue because for some reason I’m heavily salivating every few seconds, so I either spit it out or swallow it back down which worsens the pressure in my stomach. On top of that, I’m also really constipated and although I DO go to the bathroom every morning when I wake up, it feels like there’s still more and there is because throughout the day I’ll probably let out like a tiny pebble or something or I’ll just fart nonstop like I already do. This is extremely uncomfortable and I don’t know if it’s the Nexium causing it or my LACK of eating and the sudden switch in my diet (used to eat really greasy foods and now all I eat is baked chicken) or if it’s because of my period.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I’ve tried multiple variants of tea. Tried tea last night with real ginger which is supposed to be a lifesaver but it didn’t do anything for me. I tried light walking after meals, incorporating vegetables into all of my meals, yoga… I don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve been eyeing caffeine free green tea extract. Will that help?

I have to take smaller bites and eat frequent meals, drink a lot of fluids… which ADDS TO THE BLOATING!!!! I’m also afraid to try the green tea because I have a really sensitive stomach right now. After a month of eating very little and a week of being on Nexium, I’m trying to be really careful.
