Blushes

Blushes

I think the most flattering makeup for me involves a skin tone/very little/no blush, so this might take a while 😞😞 but i NEEDD to declutter and project pan is my fav approach!! I also have a couple more powder blushes in palettes not in this picture

TIFU by flaking on a friends bday dinner and now I’m $80 poorer

I (18M) said I could maybe come to the dinner like 2.5 weeks ago. I found it a little strange because this is a pretty high end restaurant inside another high end hotel. Also we haven’t known each other all that long but we call to talk and interact on social media. I realized I couldn’t attend earlier this week, and told him the day of. The restaurant has an $80 no show policy per person so I felt obligated to reimburse my friend. They made the booking for 15 ppl, told me 3 other ppl aren’t coming, asked me and my sibling to come to compensate ( they expected me to come, so they’d still have to pay for 2 ppl, so still 75).

I don’t have a ride, I’m going on a trip with my family tomorrow morning and Uber/Lyft is $100+ both ways. I cannot drive. I was really hoping a family member with a car would have their schedule free up, but I realized today that’s not happening.

I don’t have a job right now, so this really sucks. I’m ashamed to admit (more? yeah ik I’m a pos) that I’m considering returning their presents so I can reimburse myself for the no show fee at the restaurant. That’ll cover a little less than half of the fee but I’ll take what I can get.

I was raised in a family where bdays aren’t a big deal, but I realize it can be for others so I really wanted to make this special for my friend. Our conversations are honestly kinda surface level so I really don’t know why they invited me of all people. I will now face a financial consequence for flaking, which serves me right.

It’s really irking me that the money is going to the restaurant and not me or my friend at all.

TLDR: Flaked on a dinner reservation and lost ~$40 in no show fees.

Why do Jack’s Mom and Kate look so similar? (S4 E12)

Am I the only one that sees it? Kinda freaky… it’s giving Oedipus complex. I know a lot of elements in the show are really intentional so I hope I’m not spoiling anything for myself but it’s just too uncanny.

How to blur sharp lip lines? Also how can I widen narrow lips?

My lips/cupid bow is very sharp and my lips are very narrow. I tried overlining based on my smile but it looked absolutely ridiculous especially because the edge of my lips stick out so much.

Vela… 😭

Their new summer collection has been out for a while but I’ve just seen mango peel, spotted orchid, and petal sun fade.

I used to buy ones I thought were cute, so when THAT picture came out with the CEO I was devastated but I didn’t want any other prints so it wasn’t really a struggle not to buy. I’m ethnically Bangladeshi so I feel it’s not my place to buy from them. I know they did a proceeds to Sudan campaign and she did apologize.

Not only are the designs beautiful but my style is so basic and often just shirt + pants. I have an upcoming trip planned and I feel printed hijabs are to only way to make my outfits distinct.

How did infant Henry get into Storybrooke?

Rewatching after forgetting the whole plot and I swear I’m not trying to poke holes I know it’s just a show but I’m curious as to if they provide an explanation.

Outdoor Walks

I’ve been scrolling on TikTok (never a good place to get ideas from, I know) and I’ve seen people taking their rabbits for walks/playtime outdoors.

I have an older girl who lost her sister a couple months ago. They were from the same litter and I worry about losing her too. She was neglected before me and I want to make every day a treat for her. The bunnies I’ve seen always get zoomies and all look really happy in general. Could outdoor walks be a good idea for her? I figured if I just showed her around in her carrier I could gauge her mood and worst case scenario we go home.

How should I approach this? I’ve never put her on a leash before but I’m terrified as to what would happen without one, and she’s a true burrower.

I have faced literally no challenges in life and I’m still a failure, lying to my parents who ask nothing of me.

18, f, poc, muslim

Imagine all the preppy, spoilt, private school kids from basically any piece of media ever, and then double it. Hi, it’s me, I’m the kid. I have literally never heard the word no from my kind parents in their huge house in our huge suburb. They drive me to and from uni every day, offer to pack me or buy me lunch everyday, push me to drive so I don’t get rusty, and that’s just the car related stuff. My parents have worked their asses off to literally give me and my siblings everything. They work big, cushy, remote jobs that come with big checks but still buy off brand stuff from off brand stores just to save a few more pennies to slip into my inheritance. They don’t love each other anymore but they love me enough to pretend.

My mom is selfless almost to a fault. She works, takes care of my senile grandma, handles essentially all the chores, cooks for me and my siblings, etc.

My dad is set to angry all the time but you’d never know. I hate writing this down but he has his card on my phone, (so I can Apple Pay family food runs, takeout, groceries, etc. without the liability of the physical card) and I spent a ridiculous amount of money on my art hobby. He didn’t say anything until the total was obscene ($400+)

In high school i was able to do the bare minimum and get away with As and Bs. My parents literally give me EVERYTHING, and only ask me to continue to get good grades in college. They offered to find and pay for my tutoring, tuition, whatever was necessary. They asked that I work a job they found for me, with very little hours and when I felt it was getting in the way of school they encouraged me to quit.

I failed multivariable calculus, and passed electromagnetism with a C- only because the professor was shitty so students did shitty so he just wanted us out. I know nothing about anything. I don’t know calculus 2, i don’t know physics 1, i just had really generous professors.

I already lied about my physics grade, and I might get away with it because for gpa calculations at my school it won’t be factored in (freshman forgiveness).

I wouldn’t feel so awful if I could actually get my shit together, but I can’t process that it isn’t high school. I keep bedrotting. I keep binge watching. I keep lying and eating crap. I’m huge and so grotesque. I have an indent on my bed from the spot I stay in.

Today, there was a girl talking about the Physics olympiad at my uni, and I felt just sick at the levels that other kids are reaching. My mom’s friend has a daughter who’s a junior in hs. This girl is so sweet, works 3 jobs to support her single mom, gets excellent grades, got an internship because of her hard work, and that’s just one example. My cousins overseas all speak english and our native language fluently, study at top schools for their fields (medicine, engineering, etc. ) because of spots they earned from beating out other kids and ranking highly in placement exams. My mom herself came here via a student visa and worked her ass off to earn her citizenship while learning how to acclimate. My dad did the same.

How is it that in S24 E3 Stewie has devolved into not knowing how to use the internet (and the concept of a meme is foreign to him), but in S14 E6 Stewie is so well aware of the internet and pop culture he’s able to make many funny observations and enough to fuel Brian’s act?
