Antigravity became absolute trash with Google I/O updates

I have a Gemini Pro subscription, and I've been using Antigravity for a few months now. It used to be good.

Opus 4.6 burned qota slightly faster than 3.1 Pro, but it was still in a reasonable rate.

With recent update, we got the 3.5 Flash model but they removed the 3.1 flash which never ran out of limt, ever.

Not only that, but with latest update, Opus 4.6 has become completely useless.

Create an implementation plan from prompt - 40% used.

Created 3 small files(each with less than 100 Loc) out of 6 - 60% used.
Remaining 3 files - 400 AI crdts already used and not yet finished.

Antigravity app was open in my pc since yesterday and the update couldn't finish because of that. I noticed on Twitter that the new Antigravity UI is something like Codex and is trash. Luckily, I'm still in the V1, until I close it.

Also I received a mail from Google that they will no longer give the 1000 credts they used to give every month.

Update

The remaining 3 files ate up 924 credts.

20 minutes, Opus 4.6 went from 100% -> 0%, credts went from 1000 -> 76

My app just hit 50 downloads

My app, Gradual Alarm just hit 50 downloads on Play store.

I initially built it for myself last year, but later I decided to publish it.

Core feature: Unlike tradition alarms, you set a from and to time to wake up. This app, then place multiple short duration alarms, each with increasing volume and duration to slowly guide you from deep sleep to light sleep and then wake you up. You can set to repeat on specific days, set a math puzzle to dismiss the alarm and set custom sound.

If anyone is interested, check it out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.penqn.perfsleep

Have some questions about launching on AppSumo

Last month, I launched a SaaS which is an image editor with some one-click features helpful for designing posters, image compositions, etc. I shared it with some of my friends and after getting some feedback, I filled the form to list on AppSumo.

After that, some of my friends told me that it would be useful for them if I build an app with only the core feature. So, I built a separate SaaS with only the core feature, launched it 10 days ago and immediately filled the AppSumo form again.

While filling the form, I had 0 users and I mentioned it in the form. However, in the last 10 days, the metrics has changed.

- There are over 50 registered users.

- The app can be used without an account. 500+ people used the app without signup.

- 4 Paid users.

- Around 50 DAU. The combined usage of the app is 60-70 times per day.

I believe this validates the app is something people like. So, my questions are

  1. Should I fill the form again with latest metrics?
  2. How long does AppSumo takes to respond?
  3. Should I contact them with the new metrics? will they consider it as spam?

Last year, I launched Perfect Sleep. A simple alarm clock that does exactly one job. Slowly guide you from deep sleep to light sleep and wake you up.

It has the following features.

  1. Instead of setting a time, you set a duration. Wake up between.
  2. The app then intelligently creates 4 system level alarms, each with increasing volume and duration. Eg: first one will ring for 5-6 seconds at volume 1, second one will ring for 10-12 seconds with volume 3, etc.
  3. The first alarm will give your brain a small hint that it's almost time to wake up. The second one will give another hint, and the last one will ring infinitely, until dismissed.

It had a simple interface where you can set from, to and repeat daily.

This week, I spend some time to revamp it and launched V2.

Changed its name from Perfect Sleep to Gradual Alarm.

Added new features including

  • Custom ringtone.
  • Set an optional math puzzle to dismiss the alarm.
  • Set to repeat on specific days instead of every day.
  • Added support for multiple alarms.

You can download it from Play Store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.penqn.perfsleep

I believe this post is ok as per rule #1

If you're sharing your own app, platform, resources, or plugins, they better be high-quality and relevant to design.

Layerize.app is an app I built, that will convert images into depth-aware layers automatically. I created the initial version last year in order to create social media posters for my clients and last month, I decided to publish it as a SaaS.

Use case: If we want to add graphic elements or texts in certain depth level in an image while designing a poster, in Photoshop, we have to select and extract multiple objects that appear in front the of the desired slot. This app will automate the process by scanning and analyzing depth levels in the image and then split them into layers. It uses on-device extraction; hence the image never leaves your device. The process usually finishes in 2-3 seconds.

Here is a sample.

Disclaimer: It is a freemium product. You can convert unlimited images into layers and export as PSD without creating an account. However, if you want to manually set the number of output layers or export the layers as PNG images directly, you can purchase a plan (Tip: You can export as PSD for free and then export individual layers as PNG from Photoshop for free).

Few days ago, I built Layerize. An app that converts images into layers. It is a useful tool for Studios, Graphic designers, Digital marketing agencies and anyone who edits photos. It converts the image into layers based on depth, in 2-3 seconds without even needing an account.

https://preview.redd.it/ibou66zqg3zg1.png?width=1170&format=png&auto=webp&s=2f05deef6c6f76f2d1054dbff8246f59dbcb70f9

I shared it in 2-3 subreddits and started getting user signups.

Before posting there, I enabled international transaction on Razorpay and tested the entire flow including Razorpay payments in both test and live modes.

In test mode, I used a VPN to mock US and German IP, used Razorpay international test cards and everything works fine.

Then I switched to Live mode, used my own cards and made few subscriptions, everything is fine.

Then I posted it on some subreddits, users started trying it.

Users can use it without creating an account but there are also some premium features. Some users signed up and I was very happy to see that.

Then, 2-3 users started complaining that they want to subscribe but couldn't. They're from the US. I checked the Razorpay dashboard, international transaction is enabled. I then checked the transaction logs; these payments were rejected due to non-3DS card being used.

I then manually upgraded these users to premium for one month because I don't want to lose them due to a technical issue on my end.

I went through Razorpay docs and figured out that I need to enable the non-3DS option, which they mentioned as fraud prevention and I requested to activate it. 5-7 days waiting period.

Next day, I contacted Razorpay, and they created a ticket internally and later the team rejected the request, saying they can't enable it now and asked me to try again after 90 days.

I was in a blank, because during this time, over 6 users tried to subscribe but failed. I started looking for other alternatives, paypal is a no since I know it for more than a decade and their conversion rates are horrible.

I then tried Dodo pay. Signed up and it took them nearly 2 days to verify my account, integrated it on my website and now I have a total of 3 paying users.

I incorporated my company through Razorpay Rize and still they rejected my request to activate the non-3DS payment option. Never expected this. For now, Dodo saved me, but I am thinking of moving to Stripe for smaller plans because of the higher fee with Dodo.

I tried to get an invitation to Stripe but failed. Anybody here got an invitation to stripe, how you got it?

Hello everyone, I am happy to share that I built layerize.app, a web app that convert images into multiple layers based on the depth and then export it as a PSD file or a Zip file contains each layer as png (with transparency). Since the layers are being created based on the depth, it's super easy to convert them into parallax videos.

It has a guest mode, no need to sign up. Also, the process happens 100% on device. The image will not be transferred to server.
