Do you guys here like Felix the Cat?

I moderate a Felix the Cat subreddit—r/FelixsMagicBagOfStuff—which is way better than r/Felixthecat. The mods there have vanished; the sub doesn't even have a profile picture, just a terrible AI-generated banner. Anyway, I had the brilliant idea to promote my sub in cat subreddits—since you guys love cats and Felix is a cat, plus it doesn't violate any rules (again, Felix is a cat and this is a cat subreddit). I mean, I'm a genius—I'm a fucking genius. I just want to see if you guys like the sub; I didn't create it myself, but I am one of the moderators.

What would probably be the best matchup for Yuji Naka?

I just had this random idea—I don't know, maybe for one of those YouTube rap battle channels—but since no one has really come up with a matchup for Yuji Naka yet, I thought of a few. I'm not sure which one would be the absolute best—or if there's one I didn't mention that's better than the ones I did—but the first and most obvious choice is Shigeru Miyamoto. Okay, they aren't exactly alike, but come on: Mario vs. Sonic, Nintendo vs. Sega, the Console Wars... do I really need to explain? Okay, sure, their personalities are different—for instance, Shigeru Miyamoto didn't have a massive ego or arrogance; he didn't go around claiming to be the sole creator while belittling others (even though he was a pain to work with—he practically threatened to quit over sharing the code for his 32-bit dream project, which he supposedly loved). Plus, Miyamoto never got arrested. But we overlook all that because, rivalry aside, Mario and Sonic really have nothing to do with each other. Still, as I said, that’s not the only matchup I thought of for him. I also considered Akira Toriyama—Sonic was inspired by *Dragon Ball*, after all, though that’s about the extent of it. Their "creations" are similar—in quotes, because Yuji Naka isn't technically Sonic's sole creator—but I think the *Dragon Ball* references (like the seven Chaos Emeralds and the Super form) were Yuji's idea; the rest weren't. I also thought of Pat Sullivan; Sonic was inspired by Felix the Cat. In both cases, you have arrogant guys with huge egos claiming to be the only creator while the actual creator didn't care, and both men were arrested—though the media seemed to ignore it in both instances. There's also Walt Disney, though I think he pairs better with Miyamoto; the only link is the idea that Sonic was inspired by Mickey. Same goes for Walter Lantz—it just *seems* like a connection, but there wasn't really any inspiration drawn from his creations. Another one I thought of was Bob Clampett—again, a guy who goes around saying "I'm the only creator" and belittles everyone else, even though the whole team was important. In both stories, there were three key players involved. And in this case, it involved an animal character with an attitude and white gloves, whose known rival was a character dressed in red. White gloves, big shoes, and buttons on their outfits (Mickey and Mario)—plus, their respective casts share similarities (like a cute, naive friend—Porky Pig and Tails—and a black-colored rival—Daffy Duck and Shadow—as well as a bald enemy—Elmer Fudd and Eggman). You could even bring Chuck Jones into the mix, given the arrogance and the "I'm the only important one" attitude; though in that case, it was taken to extremes regarding rivalries with colleagues and sending hate mail. There is a difference, though: aside from the obvious fact that he didn't get arrested, there was the hypocrisy factor. I don't recall Yuji Naka being quite that hypocritical—or at least, nothing comes to mind—whereas the other guy had it in spades: "I'll create a bunch of rules, but only I can bend them for the sake of humor; you guys can't. And that's not *Looney Tunes*, even though I changed a lot of things myself and started rivalries with others just because their styles were completely different from mine." Anyway, I'm curious: which of these matchups would likely be the best, generate the most interest, and have the strongest connections? I honestly like them all, but is there a matchup for Yuji Naka that's better than the ones I mentioned?

Was Chuck Jones really an arrogant, egotistical, asshole asshole?

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of people criticizing him, and I want to get the full story since I used to be a bit of a noob in the Looney Tunes community—I didn't know much about the franchise back then, even though I liked it. Seriously, I used to think Tex Avery and Chuck Jones were the *only* Looney Tunes writers—I’m not kidding. I thought Chuck Jones was a pretty cool guy; all I knew was that he disliked *Space Jam*—a sentiment I 100% agreed with. I don't like that movie either; it’s a corporate product—it literally originated from a shoe commercial. And I still agree with everything he said about Lola: she’s just a "perfect," sexy, corporate-mandated "cool girl" who isn't actually funny, has a weird voice, and gets put in "funny" situations—but she isn't really any of that; she’s just the perfect, sexy, corporate girl. However, I’ve heard a lot of people—here and elsewhere—call him a total hypocritical piece of shit. Apparently, he was incredibly arrogant and had a massive ego, thinking he was the only good Looney Tunes writer. He had an unhealthy rivalry with Friz Freleng and—especially—Bob Clampett; apparently, something happened that bruised his ego and made him whine to Chuck Jones, leading him to send a complaint letter to Warner Bros. On top of that, he kept changing his own biography and the stories about himself for some reason. One of the main points of hypocrisy that struck me today is how he’d get pissed off at anything that wasn't *his* version of Looney Tunes, claiming it "wasn't Looney Tunes"—even though his own shorts were vastly different from the other writers'. *He* was the one who completely changed Daffy Duck—which, technically, was changing things and deviating from the established Looney Tunes style. He also invented those idiotic rules that apparently only *he* could break—like the famous one stating Bugs Bunny could only win if he was abused first, so the audience would root for him. Yet, Chuck Jones literally broke that rule in *Duck Amuck*, where Bugs tortured Daffy for no reason... ...the writer's pencil—and yet he still came out on top in the end. Chuck Jones also broke that rule in *Rabbit Rampage*, where Bugs Bunny is tortured by the writer—who turns out to be Elmer Fudd—and Bugs actually loses, even though he’s the victim. So, apparently, only *he* could break his own rules. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a nightmare to work with; he was always throwing tantrums, and the writers didn't really like him. I just know that after hearing all this, my love for him completely vanished—even though he's an animation legend. I really want to know the full details of that whole story; it’s fair to call him a disgusting, wretched asshole—a disgrace to the Looney Tunes And to tell you the truth, even when I liked him, I already liked certain things he would probably hate, like the Looney Tunes show and Looney Tunes Cartoons. I was obsessed with him, but I wasn't crazy about him.

Is it really true that Tweety is the only Looney Tunes character who can never lose, no matter what?

I heard about this—the whole thing where his gag is looking like a cute little bird while hiding a cold, calculating, sadistic personality. I know there was a short where Bugs Bunny faced off against Tweety, though nobody really cares about it since it came after the Golden Age. Tweety actually won that one—I haven't seen the short myself, so I don't know the details or why they fought. Even if Bugs was the one being provoked or abused without cause, it didn't matter. There's this rule that Bugs always wins if he's provoked or mistreated first, but honestly, that rule never made much sense, and basically, almost every Looney Tunes rule has been broken for the sake of comedy. For instance, Bugs was the victim in *Rabbit Rampage*, but that didn't mean he won. As for Tweety, I remember hearing somewhere that even if *he* starts the provocation, he'll likely win. His whole shtick is being the cute bird who masks that cold, calculating, sadistic side—making us feel sorry for Sylvester even when *he* was the one who started it. It makes me wonder: if Tweety faced off against other Looney Tunes characters who usually don't lose—like Cecil Turtle or the Road Runner—would he win? It would be the first time they ever lost. With the Road Runner, he wins because of the rules governing Wile E. Coyote—rules that apparently are never broken. If the Coyote isn't hunting the Road Runner, he can actually do well for himself, though he still messes up sometimes due to his ego—calling himself a "super genius" and self-sabotaging. But there's a higher chance of success there; Tweety's rules seem more powerful and have never been broken, and there aren't any specific rules governing a Tweety vs. Road Runner matchup. So, could we actually see him defeat the Road Runner? Then there's Cecil—that raises the question: could he put Tweety in his place and beat him? Cecil is very clever and can beat Bugs Bunny at his own game—though that happened under the specific rules of the Bugs vs. Cecil shorts, where Bugs acts more show-offy, thinking he's the best in the world and provoking Cecil. But honestly, Bugs has won even when he wasn't the victim; *Duck Amuck* exists, and *he* was the one provoking Daffy, so do those rules even matter anymore? Cecil literally managed to beat the guy who usually wins, which makes me wonder: could he put Tweety in his place, or would we finally see a short where he gets the short end of the stick? Because let's admit it—nobody likes seeing Bugs Bunny lose. Anyway, I don't know; if Tweety were to beat him, could we—believe it or not—call Tweety a god, or the most powerful being in the Looney Tunes universe? I mean, I don't think there's any Looney Tunes character who could beat him or do anything to him. Maybe the writer's pencil would work against him, or wouldn't even be a match? I just know there'd probably be a better chance using a drawing tablet; there's an episode of *New Looney Tunes*—I don't even know the name—where Daffy tortures Bugs using a drawing tablet and beats him with it. That shows it's likely more powerful than the standard pencil and paper, since in the *Rabbit Rampage* Super Nintendo game, Daffy used the classic method and lost—though that was a game where Bugs was the protagonist, and you could argue he already knew how the pencil and paper worked from having used them in *Duck Amuck* and suffered through them in *Rabbit Rampage*. But in this case, we're talking about a short, not a game, so I don't know if even that would be a match for Tweety. Could he be called the most powerful Looney Tunes character? I wonder why he never makes it onto those lists of the most powerful characters—especially the ones featuring characters with Toon Force—because, honestly, I don't think there's a single Looney Tunes character who could beat him, is there?

What do you think of the game Daffy Duck in Hollywood?

For me, it’s simply the best 16-bit Looney Tunes game—it’s awesome. The animations are incredible; they look just like a real cartoon. The music is great too, really capturing the Looney Tunes style, and the gameplay is amazing—far better than *Rabbit Rampage*, which is just pretty to look at but otherwise a piece of crap. Honestly, it’s sad that *Daffy Duck in Hollywood* is so underrated and forgotten, considering it’s literally the best 16-bit Looney Tunes game out there, while all the others range from mediocre to terrible. The closest contenders, in my opinion, are the *Tweety and Sylvester* game for the Mega Drive—which is really cool, though also often overlooked—and the *Speedy Gonzales* game for the SNES (sometimes jokingly called "Sonic 4"). I also remember the *Road Runner and E. Coyote* game being pretty fun. Aside from those, the rest are garbage Anyway, Daffy Duck in Hollywood is Absolute Cinema

My tier list of Looney Tunes characters in my Opinion

Don't ask me why Tweety and Sylvester aren't here. I'd put Sylvester in the "damn good" category and Tweety in the "awesome" Category guess And yes Lola Bunny is the Looney Tunes character I hate the most Yes I don't know most of them lol You can judge me I haven't seen all the classic shorts there are so many it would take forever to see them all But I know Melissa Duck I just haven't seen her shorts yet To form an opinion about her and Penguin I think that short film where Bugs is kind of Penguin's babysitter I haven't seen that short film yet but I know about it

Is "Rabbit Rampage" the only Looney Tunes episode where Bugs Bunny loses even though he's the victim?

Here’s a random question about Looney Tunes Is Rabbit Rampage the only Looney Tunes episode where Bugs Bunny loses even though he was the one being provoked or mistreated first? I always found that short strange doesn't it sort of break Chuck Jones's rules where Bugs only loses if he's the one doing the provoking, so we still root for him? Usually that only happens in the Cecil Turtle shorts where Cecil is driven by envy and pride But in

Rabbit Rampage Bugs did absolutely nothing, yet he loses to Elmer Fudd (who acts as the episode's animator/writer) To me it would have made more sense if it were Daffy Duck the short could have been Daffy's revenge for everything he suffered in Duck Amuck another episode that kind of breaks the classic Looney Tunes rules since Bugs is the one who starts provoking and mistreating Daffy there Actually I’ve heard there’s a New Looney Tunes episode where Daffy is the writer/animator and he actually wins So are those the only two times Bugs loses despite being the victim? I wonder if even though it happened years later that New Looney Tunes episode counts as Daffy finally getting his revenge for Duck Amuck? I know he tried to get revenge in the Rabbit Rampage SNES game but it didn't work he lost in the end Maybe the digital drawing tablet was the key, since he failed using ink and paper in the SNES game? Although in this case I like to pretend that by that point Bugs knew the limits and how to handle that animation style whereas the digital tablet was something completely different Anyway, are those the only two examples of Bugs losing while being the victim? And can that New Looney Tunes episode (whose name I forgot) be considered the successful revenge for Duck Amuck unlike the Rabbit Rampage SNES game?

My honest opinion on the Felix the Cat game for NES

I honestly love this game; it’s really good. It’s one of the best-looking games on the console, especially considering it came out right at the end of the NES's lifespan—in 1992, when the Super Nintendo was already out—yet it still looked great for the NES. Felix's sprite is so cute and expressive, and the heart mechanic—where you get different abilities, each with its own pros and cons—is brilliant. I might be wrong, but I think this game invented Kitty's modern look (the one used in the 50s/60s animated series style), since she never actually appeared in that cartoon—though I could be mistaken; maybe that look had appeared in a comic book or something before. But as far as games go, it started here. Another thing I love—maybe my favorite thing—is the soundtrack; it’s really good and pleasant to listen to. My favorites are probably "Egyptian Excavation" (World 2), "Tranquil Island" (World 5), and "Snowy World" (World 6-1/7). But this game is far from perfect; even though I like it, I admit the aerial sections are the worst part of the game. There’s too much going on on-screen, and I died a lot—unlike the normal levels, which are really chill and fun to play. Even the water levels are surprisingly good—yes, the water levels in this game aren't actually that bad; it's the aerial levels that are really annoying, to be honest. Without a doubt, the ground-based levels are the most chill and enjoyable, as I mentioned before. But there is one other thing I really don't like: when you get the tank, Felix becomes very heavy, which really messes up your jumps. Believe me, I died a lot because the jump didn't register right; it's very easy to miss a jump and fall into a pit while in the tank. It creates a tough dilemma: do we give up the tank—and the extra health it provides—to switch back to the car or Magic Felix so he's lighter? Or do we stick with the tank? It puts us players in a tricky spot. I usually choose the tank upgrade—having more health and being able to take more damage is always good. Aside from that, those are the only issues I have with the game; it’s a great title. The bosses, even if easy, are interesting and unique, and the fact that most are characters from the cartoon makes it even cooler. Even the final boss—the Professor—is pretty easy, especially since you can upgrade mid-battle, but he still makes for a great final boss as we finish the game and rescue Kitty (who basically plays the Princess Peach role here, lol). So, that’s my opinion and mini-review; I’d love to hear yours, too. Overall, I’d rate the game around a 7/10—mainly because of the aerial levels and the tank feeling so heavy. Another thing I haven't mentioned is that it’s quite short; while that’s good for replayability, sometimes it leaves me wanting more—or at least wishing for a remake, even though I know that’ll never happen. Seriously, a remake would have been so much better than what actually happened: them simply re-releasing the original game, the Game Boy version, and even the Japanese version (which used to be "lost media"). There’s almost nothing special about this two-game collection; the only really cool thing is the cover art—it’s beautiful. I’d drool over a new *Felix the Cat* animation in that style. Anyway, it’s a terrible collection—it doesn't even have concept art. Honestly, it’s much better to just emulate the game than to spend money on this; it’s just a lazy, pathetic cash grab using the name of a classic game featuring a beloved character. Anyway, that’s my take on the best *Felix the Cat* game. Let me know in the comments what you think of the game and my analysis—whether you agree or not. I’d love to see your opinions on this NES classic.

Could Felix the Cat from Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat be considered somewhat simp?

I started thinking about this a while back: Felix is obsessed with Candy—he’s actually sick and crazy about her. It’s not normal for him to still want her knowing she constantly switches boyfriends. There was even that episode where she got romantic with his piggy bank; he literally killed himself at the end of it—he committed suicide over her—but then came back to life, and he *still* wants her. And when he finally confesses his love, she ends up with another guy again, and he literally breaks down in tears. That is just not normal at all. I even have this headcanon that Candy is a spoiled princess who doesn't date guys because she loves them, but rather for what they have; once they run out of money to buy her expensive gifts, she dumps them and moves on to the next one. Seriously, a woman like that doesn't deserve Felix—let's be honest—and she doesn't deserve the love he has for her, even if the way he loves her isn't exactly normal

Imagine if these two games received remakes for the new generation of consoles

It would be a dream come true for many Looney Tunes fans to imagine if these two games were remastered, like the Crash 'n' Sane trilogy, with better graphics and other things I can't even think of Perhaps including deleted levels, if this game also has remixed music and improved audio with the current voice actors, would be an impossible dream that I wish would become reality

O verdadeiro the big 3 dos desenhos animados

Algum discordar disso?

Is it really true that Warner Bros considers Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Lola Bunny to be the main trio of Looney Tunes characters today?

don't know if it's actually true—I've seen it mentioned in a few places—but I don't know what you guys think; to me, at least, it’s a terrible idea to put Lola Bunny in the main Looney Tunes trio and swap out Porky Pig. I honestly find Lola Bunny to be a terrible, soulless corporate character—she’s just the girl who’s good at basketball and whom everyone in the movie thinks is hot. That doesn't fit the Looney Tunes vibe at all; they’re supposed to be funny animals with funny voices and situations. If I recall correctly, the movie's producers even said she exists solely to attract a female audience and sell merchandise—that's it. In my opinion, Lola doesn't even deserve to be a Looney Tune. Not to mention how she overshadows other female Looney Tunes characters who are much better (though that’s not a high bar). Honestly, the only good version of her is the one from *The Looney Tunes Show*; at least she has a personality and is funny there, even if she is a bit forced and annoying at times. But anyway, putting her in the main trio is a mistake, at least to me. Lola didn't even exist until '96, and Warner only seemed to care about her around 2010—pushing tons of merch—whereas Porky Pig had been around since the '30s and was the first Looney Tunes star; he was practically the protagonist. Then came Daffy Duck, who appeared alongside him and made the stories crazier with his wacky, funny nature—unlike Porky, who was just a regular, mild-mannered guy. Daffy probably even became more famous, even though Porky was the initial focus. Then came Bugs Bunny—the fucking king of the Looney Tunes—created at the perfect moment. During WWII, everyone wanted to be him because of his calm demeanor, yet he could wreak total havoc on your life if you bothered him. He’s a true agent of chaos who always uses his intelligence and his cool, sarcastic attitude to solve everything. So, what the hell does Lola have going for her to join the main trio? Being the furry fandom's darling?
