I recently moved to Toronto from Alberta and I'm looking for a part-time job that I can work on weekends.

I work full-time Monday to Friday and I'm grateful to have my job, but with the higher cost of living in Toronto, I'm looking for a weekend job to earn some extra income.

I have over 3 years of experience at Home Depot, including as a Department Supervisor. I have experience in customer service, warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, inventory management, and operating forklift, reach truck, order picker, electric ladder, and electric pallet jack.

If your workplace is hiring or you know of any openings, I'd really appreciate any leads. I'm happy to share my resume if needed.

I created my Express Entry profile in February 2026 and successfully entered the pool with a CRS score of 501. Unfortunately, my GCKey account was revoked, so I had to create a new GCKey account.

The problem is that I can't link my existing Express Entry profile because I don't remember my profile/application number. I also can't find any email from IRCC confirming my Express Entry profile creation.

I have already submitted an IRCC web form with:

- My UCI

- Full personal details

- An explanation of what happened

- A request to help recover my Express Entry profile

My concern is that I don't want to create a new Express Entry profile if my old one is still active, since IRCC only allows one active profile at a time.

Has anyone experienced this before?

- Were you able to recover your profile?

- Did IRCC provide your Express Entry profile number or help you link it to your new GCKey?

- How long did it take for them to respond?

If you're leaving Home Depot, either for good or to transfer to another store, and you're in your last 2 weeks, how would you spend them?

Would you keep working as usual and finish strong, or would you take it a bit easier since you're on your way out anyway?

Me( telugu - 26m) and her(punjabi -25f) are in a relationship for the past year. We are in canada and she lives with her sister and brother in law. We both work at the same place.

Yesterday she came to meet me bu told her family that she was going for work. Out of the blue they showed up at work coz they wanted to buy something.

She covered it up and went home but today she messaged me saying that she will tell about us to them(family).

Her family is very very very orthodox.

What do i do ? Do i go to their home and talk ?

Moving from Edmonton to Toronto for my new job. My office is in North York and I haven’t found a place yet, but I’m hoping to find something relatively close to work/transit.

I currently own a car and pay around $336/month insurance in Alberta.

Trying to decide whether I should:

- bring the car to Toronto

- fly first and decide later

- or just sell the car entirely

For people living in Toronto/GTA, is owning a car worth it anymore if you work a hybrid office job and live near transit?

Also, how is public commute in Toronto actually? Because commuting in Edmonton is honestly not great, especially in winter, and I’m trying to understand whether Toronto transit/traffic is better or somehow even worse.

Would appreciate advice from people who made a similar move.

Edit:- 1) My office is near Eglinton Ave E & Don Mills Rd - Concorde Gate area.

2. I’m still looking into neighbourhoods right now. From what I’ve researched so far, I’m considering places like North York Centre, Don Mills, Flemingdon Park, Midtown, or somewhere along Line 1 if the commute is manageable.
