Predatory towing extending to HOA communities

I live in a newer community of townhouses here in Charlotte, and we’ve been dealing with excessive towing and booting in our development lately. For context: the community has one long public road while the rest of the streets with homes are private. Every house has a 1 car garage and driveway, but there is simply not enough street parking for residents and guests on the public road, forcing people to park on the street in front of their homes. The tow trucks come out with little to no warning, and they will tow and boot cars quickly, even if the car was there for a few minutes. Our HOA is not responding to our demands for more parking (mainly because there’s little to be done), and now they’re not responding to our concerns about excess towing and booting. Many in the community feel cheated, that the builders didn’t properly inform them of the parking situation, and now overzealous towers can come in at any time and charge outrageous prices to get our cars back.

Is anyone else dealing with a similar situation in their housing developments? Is this the kind of thing that could be reported to AG Jeff Jackson’s office?

Edit for context: T HOA is not managed by the residents yet, as there’s still a few houses to be sold. Once every house is sold, we as owners can take charge and decide which company we want to manage it. Currently we’re under Cusick, previously it was Keuster.

Will the official Last FM widget be updated to be compatible with the Apple Music for Windows app?

I've been using this https://github.com/PKBeam/AMWin-RP to scrobble from my desktop the last few years, are there any other alternatives?

I know opening shifts are slow, but not having any dancers at all for the first 2 hours is crazy

Club opens at 4, and it’s after 5 with no girls in sight. Another club opens at noon and only has one dancer until 3 or 4.

Any fast food combination restaurants in town?

Been watching Sam Reid on Youtube, he finds weird and interesting fast food combos like KFC/Taco Bell, Dunkin'/Jimmy John's, Dunkin'/Buffalo Wild Wings, etc. I don't think I've seen any since I've moved here a few years ago.

Am I the only person adding concert listings to Last FM?

I add ones for my city, and sometimes others, but sometimes I see big cities that get a decent amount of touring not having tour dates added.

Is it too early in the year to find fall beers in CLT?

Going to a Summerween (summer Halloween) party and wanted to find pumpkin beer or something similar. Did not see any at Food Lion, should I try Harris Teeter/Total Wine, or a smaller shop like Sip City?

Blue Moon Spa on Bloomingdale Road. Legit massage or seedy rub and tug?

Former SI native here, visiting family and passed by the stores next to Rossville Pizza. The marketing gives off “pretty and submissive Asian girls”, but wanted to see if it’s for real.

Bigger cities that don't have many clubs

Planning some future travel, and noticed that Boston only has one or two clubs in city limits, with more in the suburbs and out in Rhode Island. Any other major cities with few to no clubs? As for less populated states, Vermont seems to be the only state with no clubs, and North Dakota only has 1.

Any local radio stations broadcasting FIFA games?

Maybe a silly question, but any local AM/FM stations broadcasting FIFA games in Charlotte or NC in general? Driving from CLT to Winston Salem next week, wanted to see if it was possible to listen.

How much more rain until we’re out of a drought?

Looks like rain every day for the next few days. Are we close to getting back to normal?

Yakiko Hibachi in Uptown turning into a coffee shop/dispensary.

Was planning to stop by for lunch, but seemed like they were removing signs. The owner walked out and explained that they're transitioning into a coffee shop/dispensary.

National/regional chains you'd like to see in Charlotte someday?

Off the top of my head:

Jollibee

Nando's

Hattie B's

The Habit (Indian Land, SC is the closest)

Halal Guys (sucks the last one closed)

In n Out (doubt it would happen, but they're in Tennessee now).
