I am looking to have a very high-end dinner while I am in town, preferably somewhere with a nice pre-fixe. From my experience, many of the restaurants in that caliber will only seat two people at a minimum.

Does anybody have any recommendations for places that are comfortable seating a single person?

Would prefer traditional French cuisine, although I am open to other options if they come recommended. I am here for another few weeks so I should not have a problem making a reservation a little ways out if it is required.

I am trying to finish Pax Klanq's quest, I found him once and got Klanq to spread around, but in the process I lost the limb that had the infection. I re-grew it with Ubernostrum and now I am trying to find him again.

The weird thing is, he is just not there. I go to the center tile of the rainbow wood to look for the flesh mushrooms and I cannot find them anymore, nor can I find his workshop. I have never had this happen before.

Any ideas on what I can do? I am soft locked at the moment.

I work in tech, do photography semi-professionally, love all kinds of music and spending time outdoors. I'm heavily involved it leftist politics back home, very extroverted and enjoy meeting new people. I consider myself to have a pretty easy going personality and don't have trouble making friends. I have a girlfriend back home so I am not looking for anything other than people to vibe with.

I only really speak English, I speak a little French but I'm not able to do much more than have a basic conversation.

I am looking to hit a club this weekend, last year I found a raging club in St Denis that I forgot the name of.

Looking for a real club. Dark, smokey, thumping house/techno music. Some place to put on a good outfit and feel like I'm an extra in The Matrix. I have been to the more touristic clubs and they don't really do it for me.

I'm in the 20th but willing to travel anywhere reasonable. Where should I check out?

So fucking what if he was at the protest? I saw he backed down a bit once he saw the guy was nowhere near the protests, but what of the others who were legally armed at the protests and left when asked to?

"It's not a protest" - it literally was. The only person committing a crime anywhere near deserving of the degree of sentence handed out is the one who shot at the cop.

He will (correctly) criticize the no kings crowd for do-nothing protests, yet lumps these NSPM7 convictions people into the same group as the man that pulled the trigger. Later in the same segment he can't even make up his mind about the legal precedent of carrying firearms at protests.

I understand the necessity of his anti-fedposting stance, but his dismissive attitude towards these protesters is gross to me. Only one of them drew, only one of them pulled the trigger. His entire position feels apathetic and hypocritical.

If Alex Pretti and Renee Good had been given 30 year sentences instead of bullets, would Vaush say they deserve it because their form of protest didn't fit his arbitrary definition?

I have been getting more into architectural/liminal photography and I've been told medium format is the way to go.

I've recently been trying to get a Mamiya 7 but I've had some stuff get in the way of budgeting. As a result I'm considering the pros and cons of the format. I understand you can print bigger and the negatives are much larger, but I see disagreement on whether the resolution is actually higher.

I know scanning methods factor into this, but can someone help me understand the materials advantages of the format before I spend 2-3k on it?

I know this is a dumb question and it's been asked before but I am seeing mixed responses on the old threads and would like to understand better.

Looking for a Mamiya 6 or Mamiya 7, prefer lens+body with a semi-recent CLA if possible.

I posted here a week or two ago about buying a $2300 Mamiya 6 with two lenses and a broken light meter. I posted after I bought it, everybody here told me I was dumb for buying it and that it could have more problems. I deleted my old post because I felt bad LOL.

I got the camera, and wouldn't you know it, everybody here was right. I got about two frames out of it before it stopped reliably firing, and while I was troubleshooting the issue with the shutter, the film advanced lever stopped working properly and is now locked in the forward position (I have read this is somewhat of a common issue on these).

I am glad that these issues manifested themselves immediately and I'm able to still get a return on the item, I appreciate the advice from everybody here. Thankfully I will be able to get my money back and next time I will just spend a little bit more and try again for a unit that has been CLA'd.

Got an opportunity to get a 6 MF with the 75 and the 150 for $2300

The light meter appears to not work, but everything else about the camera seems good. Shutter fires at all speeds, rangefinder is clean, lenses are in good shape, finder alignment is good.

I travel a lot and I really want a medium format rangefinder that is as close as possible to the size of my 35mm rangefinder.

Is this a reasonable price?
