Options besides Tmobile

Planning to get rid of T-mobile with their new rate hikes. We’ve been considering for a few months but this was the final straw.

Own our phones. Three lines but one is basically a home phone and on WiFi 99% of time. Second line is home and out for errands and groceries so I do use more data. Third line is used at work around airport where service is already spotty but some data usage needed.

We don’t live far from the lagoon in South brevard. Almost never out in rural areas.

Is anyone with any of the other carriers or sub carriers and happy with the pricing and coverage?

Updated app and it’s working but all videos before today are gone

So I updated the app this morning and I’m connecting but I thought I understood from the Birdfy message that our historical data would be saved, I guess that didn’t include all the videos of visits yesterday that I kept getting notified about all day long - because those are all gone? Not just yesterday’s videos but the ones from the previous day when I first installed the feeder are gone as well?

Radar accuracy for u.s. and Europe?

I used to subscribe to the app and am thinking about trying it again after how much more dismal Apple and other apps are becoming by the day. I feel like the radar accuracy of so many of them are in the gutter.

Last week in my part of Florida we had torrential downpours and the radar showed it was still far away and nothing around us.

So I would love to hear from people on how well the radar is performing for them on carrot. I remember one thing I really liked was the ability to swap to the France meteo so I could check on my father in law’s weather.

My new bamboo feeder has a solar plug port on the top of the camera?

I just finished setting up my new bamboo feeder and I’m really shocked that when you plug the cord to the solar panel into the camera, there’s now no way to protect the power on power off button from moistire intrusion.

For a camera that’s designed to be outside. It’s a really poor design flaw guaranteed to cause early failure on the cameras.

Maybe I’m just missing something but considering I’m in Florida in a humid environment really disappointed already

Dermatologist

Looking for a dermatologist who is really good with skin damage and cancer checks - preferably around Melbourne/Palm Bay/beachside but will go as far as Viera. The place we’ve been to is part of a group and we haven’t been very happy with either of the two offices or doctors that we saw.

Editing because so many are asking my sea level - I’m only about 15’ above sea level if even that much. And it was shipped from Amazon.

My febu arrived today but wondering is it’s normal for the bag to be puffed out like it’s going to explode? It’s the first time I’ve ordered it after reading about it here.

my brand new LG WM4000HWA front loader was delivered today. 😁 Thanks to everyone who helped me choose.

I’m coming from a 13-year-old top-load Whirlpool Cabrio, so this is a big change. My husband and daughter both have very oily hair/skin, so we’re dealing with a lot of sebum buildup and probably a backlog of clothes that need a proper reset after the old machine.

Main questions are what detergent (see list below) to start with and what amount based on water hardness around 103ppm. It’s a major shift going from tl to fl so I’m starting simple with sheets- one set is almost brand new, but I’m sure it already has some sebum buildup.

I have fragrance and chemical sensitivities, so I need to be careful with what I use. Based on recommendations here, I just bought the Whole Foods 365 detergents and am planning to pick up Febu as well. I’ll likely also grab the 365 Sport detergent to try on my daughter’s microfleece pants, since that’s basically all she wears.

What I currently have:

WF 365 unscented liquid detergent (just bought)

WF 365 unscented powdered detergent (just bought)

Biz (tricky with my sensitivities)

Citric acid (small amount, planning to buy more)

Borax

Washing soda

Calgon

I just threw out an old container of OxiClean but can replace it if needed.

Autistic/ADHD mom (late diagnosed ADHD and only recently diagnosed autistic, so I’m still unpacking my own internalized expectations) to an aroace autistic/ADHD young adult. We’ve been really struggling with hygiene for some time, and while some things have improved a bit, I’m trying to find additional supportive but realistic ways to help, especially ones I might not think of on my own since I don’t experience these challenges in the same way they do.

There are a lot of barriers: sensory issues with water (they wear a rash guard in the shower and stopped tolerating baths a few years back), executive function challenges, and general overwhelm around all the steps involved (showering, hair washing, acne care, etc.). They also avoid mirrors and don’t like looking at themselves. They've also told me they don't notice their own body odors.

They still need support from me with some shower steps like hair washing, but the timing is tough. The window when they have the energy is usually when I’m completely depleted from the day.

I wouldn’t stress as much if it didn’t start affecting things like body odor, acne, scalp buildup, and the laundry challenges (oily clothes, bedding, etc.) that I end up having to find solutions for, which adds to my own limited energy and overwhelm.

I did pick up some body wipes after seeing them suggested and left them out to try, but initiating that kind of step still seems to be a barrier. If anyone has had success with things like wipes, I’d love to know how you made that actually work in practice.

I’d really appreciate ideas that are actually doable with sensory and executive function challenges in mind.

Looking for suggestions for my young adult daughter who hates showering and bathing . Unfortunately she also has very oily skin and hair. She's got lots of sensory issues around fragrances, water hitting her skin, and hygiene is just not important to her, she even has trouble looking at herself in the mirror. I don't know how many of these things might have been a challenge for me when I was young because I would have been forced to mask anything that bothered me.

So anyway, any and all suggestions would be appreciated.
