WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK.
To all watch lovers out there 🛑
I have been waiting patiently for the delivery of Devanagari so that I could say something about the current situation that goes on around the burgundy model.
I received the watch today and unboxed it and a few thoughts came to my mind.
I have been reading the reviews of many
Devanagari users and their concerns around the watch and its quality.
On the unboxing part they didn't include a box this time and the packaging was basic cover with a bubble wrap around it, no damages have been reported but a cardboard box would have been a nice safety net over the pouch.
And for the lack of a box, watch collectors would be happy with a change in packing and they would love the pouch but new buyers and new collectors who were expecting an unboxing were let down.
Coming to the watch,
It's a really beautiful piece well built and premium looking, the pushers are rectangular which looks better the hands are glossy, the dial is said to be enamel it does look barely enamel but can't complain for the price they did their best.
Some buyers had some issues with the alignment of the chrono and sub dials, I also found a slight tilt in one of my sub dials but for me that's not a big deal but if the main hand was misaligned it would have bothered me.
And the strap which every/ most of the buyers hated. Is it good - NO Is it that bad- NO . Again coming back to the price it's ok for the price but they could have done better, much better. The first thing I did after I saw the watch was change the strap. I'll still use the strap but wish they had made a slightly better one.
Caseback is fine but I would have really liked a smaller symbol on the back and some engraving about the Devanagari script under it.
I was also a little afraid to reset the chronograph since the return is too stiff and fast.
I would have also liked some lume and if the numbers and date wheel had lume it would have been out of this world but at this price it's too much to ask.
🛑And the most important question that everyone is asking 🛑
" I missed the sale and I want to buy one desperately is it worth buying at resale ? "
I would say don't, they'll definitely make more of this model probably. And just wait it out and you might even get an upgrade, you'll never know.
And for those who are desperate and can't wait to buy one , 10k is reasonable but above that it's too much please don't buy it, it's not worth it above that.
And resellers are a part of watch community it's not fraud or a bad thing to do if you see a sale post with ridiculous price just comment your thoughts for any buyers to see.
It's a good thing that dwc make one colour per purchase or this could have been even worse.

These are my thoughts share yours as well.
I am not a perfume expert and I rarely use perfumes. Got married last year and got a bunch of gifts as perfumes. Can you share infos about these are they good or bad.
So it's been a year since I got married. Now that I have completed two milestones in my life, I have two watches to show for it 😄.
The wedding watch - Omega speedmaster 38
1st anniversary watch - Aethelsohn terra nova
1.Omega Speedmaster 38 Co-Axial Chronograph
The watch on the left is the Omega Speedmaster 38 mm (Ref. 324.30.38.50.03.001). It offers a refined, compact take on the iconic Speedmaster silhouette.
The Dial: Features a striking, sun-brushed light blue dial with horizontal oval sub-dials and a clean date window located at the 6 o'clock position.
The Bezel: Includes a dual-bezel design that uniquely frames a blue aluminum ring stamped with a tachymeter scale inside a polished stainless steel outer rim.
Movement: It is powered by the durable Omega Calibre 3330, an automatic movement equipped with a silicon balance spring and a Co-Axial escapement.
The watch on the right is a microbrand piece, specifically the Aethelsohn Terra Nova Stone Dial watch with a genuine Rhodochrosite mineral face. Its design language leans heavily into the clean, integrated lines popularized by Grand Seiko styles.
The Dial: Crafted from natural stone, giving it a soft pink hue marbled with white mineral patterns. Because it is a natural mineral slice, every single dial layout is entirely unique to that specific watch.
Case and Movement: Set in a 38.5mm 316L stainless steel case with razor-sharp polished edges. It is powered by a high-accuracy Seiko VH31 sweep-second quartz movement, meaning the ticking second hand sweeps smoothly across the dial like a mechanical watch.
Both beautiful time pieces, both give out summer vibes.
Both watches look phenomenal together, showing off how well a sleek ice-blue chronograph pairs with a vibrant, texture-rich pink stone dial.
Both are miles apart in case of value, and I can't say that I love both equally 😅 but wearing both gives me the same joy.

1 week review
Right off the bat the specs you see is delivered and they didn't cut corners on that, usually when a brand claims to provide these claims they cut corners but I didn't feel that in this case.
PROS
They deliver what the claim in specs.
The polishing and texture is on point.
The symbol is really beautiful and simple, can be seen also on the crown and clasp.
Strap is really comfortable to wear and adjustment comes in screw setting which is really nice to see in this price point.
Bonus they also provide really nice tool with the watch so you don't have to go to a shop to adjust the chain.
Lugs have holes on the sides to help in strap change. Also got a bonus strap as there was a summer offer while I ordered, which was really premium oil wax leather I think.
The dial is the cherry on top, it's natural stone and never seen on this price point, every watch is unique on it's on.
The time I ordered I got free shipping inclusive of tax and customs plus a premium leather strap and on the top of that 8$ off for first purchase. So I paid around 120$ [₹ 11600], delivery in 15 days.
Excellent customer service, I have shared that experience on previous post.
CONS
To be honest I don't have any cons on the watch, although I wish they would make watches for a smaller wrist around 36mm.
Overall the hand feel is excellent, the watch case has a weight to it and feels solid, rose gold indices really goes with the pink stone dial. The stone dials might seem dull inside but once the sunlight hits it shines and brings out the beauty of the stone dial.
Pink might not be the go to for many people and they do have many other natural and textured dials with both automatic and quartz options. Every model is worth the money and it was one of my best watch experience soo far. The feeling is not an exaggeration I have over 70 watches in my collection and this definitely has a special place in it.

Aethelsohn terra Nova rhodochrosite, it's a mouth full I know but it just filled my heart ❤️.
This is the best I can describe the feeling that I am having right now, I haven't stopped smiling since I have unboxed this watch. It's like you have a basic idea of the watch you are ordering and then you get the box and you open it just to feel like you have hit a jackpot. So here's the story.
My anniversary is coming up and my wife wants to buy me a watch and as a collector I am really picky about the watches I buy and wear. So as usual she asks me my advice and I suggest some brands and models (watchdives, militado, addiesdive, timex, baltany etc) and so she ends up liking the watchdives WD1960S which is a nice tudor ranger homage watch and I also liked it and I was on the process of hunting for coupons so I could get it cheaper so during the process I realised that I do have a similar watch in my collection (addiesdive AD2518). So I drop out and along with the other watches I also suggest a new brand that I haven't bought (aethelsohn).
So going over the site she finds some natural stone dial watches and ends up selecting a pink stone dial watch with rose gold indices. Since I don't have a pink dial in my collection (70+ watches) I was like, lets go for it let's try something new. So I started hunting for reviews of the model, but couldn't find any but some have bought the same series but in different colours so I ended up talking with them and got some amazing reviews but I still ached for a real life pic as the site only had edited ones. So I ended up emailing the customer care, to be honest I didn't expect a reply or pics but I had to do my due diligence before buying. Surprisingly I got a reply within in 5hrs (this is a big deal because replies rarely come from Chinese brands and that's usually automated message).
So they ended up sending me the pics and I was ready to order. Since its an anniversary gift I should engrave the caseback but this already had some watch info engraved at the back, so I emailed them again asking if I would be able to get a plain case back and they replied saying they need a day to check with the manufacturing team to confirm and they emailed the next day saying sadly that it is possible to get one but the next production batch is after 1month so I'll have to wait. Since we needed the watch for the anniversary that wasn't possible so they said they were sorry they couldn't fulfill my request but was ready to help me in any other way possible. So luckly this to and fro delayed my order by two days and they started a summer offer providing a free strap with some of their models and I was lucky enough to get one. So I payed around 120$ for the watch and the free strap and got the shipping for free.
Days go by and it's been 12 days and shipping seems to be delayed so I emailed again to which I got reply in 30 mins which had the details of shipping and current whereabouts of products and expected time of delivery.
So today I received my watch and it was my second best unboxing experience I have had in my life (after my omega speedmaster). Why you ask, it's not because of a fancy package or special accessories, but because of the work they put into the experience the customer getswhen he sees and unboxes the watch.
Tiny details like arrows to indicate how the plastic film is wrapped so it's easy to remove, the quality of the tool that they provided, how easy it is to resize the watch to the persons size(screws not pins) so no need to hammer like a mad man😅,and the box simple(can be used like a travel box, holes to lock if needed be). I know these aren't a big deal but just imagine getting all this for a 120$ watch.
I want to appreciate the whole team behind the aethelsohn watch brand (manufacturing, customer care, owner, everyone) for creating this lovely experience for me and my wife ou guys made over 1st anniversary special and you guys got a customer for life.
Sorry for this long story I just wanted to share this experience with you all.
For the people who wants the review I will be posting it soon.

addiesdives new addiesKIN, I have been waiting for this model for a long time but sadly it released soon after I ordered two watches from a different brand. the dial doesn't reach the level of san Martin but the Chinese numbers look nice. And they are also giving 90$ off on first 50 watch sale.
so if you like it hurry up 😄
I have a bunch of open case back automatic and manual wind watches but when I see a micro rotor something just feels soo good. I want my next purchase to be a micro rotor watch I haven't seen many just baltany, boddery, farasute and recently a company called tophill. Those who have bought a micro rotor watch, how is it , what's the feel on the wrist, do you love it or hate it. Pls share your thoughts.
I feel dumb because I just found out recently buy this helps save time and decision making.
As a watch collector we always find it hard to make a decision about a watch or strap while buying, lots of thoughts like will it suit the watch is the dial matching the strap, will leather look good on a strap will silicon strap ruin a look of a watch. But this makes it soo easier. Just take a pic of the watch and that of a strap you wish to buy them feed it to Gemini or any ai engine and baam.
AETHELSOHN I have heard about this watch but there's no review on this model and was hoping to find one from here. I narrowed down my selection to watchdives and this brand pls help with a review and real life pics
Size under 38mm and Chinese brands are also welcome. I own brands like addiesdive, dwc, coromandel and I do love the quality.
Searching for good watches under $150 size below 38mm
Currently I am confused between these models. If you guys have personal experience with these models or any other pls to share them 😁
