Bear with me here, if your body falls into a chasm and dies, you can use a scroll (or withers) to revive them. using a scroll targets the blue ball on the ground (which I assume symbolically means the soul or the traces left of it.

Now we know Withers is Jergal trying to keep balance, so he technically cannot offer us help, but he gives us hirelings and revives our companions. Is his way of keeping it fair leaving the tadpoles in? or is he unable to overcome the netherese magic imbued in it. Also wouldn’t Karlach’s infernal engine be removed from her if she gets revived? Is it metaphysically tied to her soul? (she feeds it soul coins yk? idk.)

Or am I just overthinking it? I do feel like a game with this depth of story shouldn’t have this many logical fallacies though

Hi guys, first timer for piercings. Any recommendations or tips are welcome! I heard needle is better and cleaner? But there’s been conflicting info so I’m not sure. Also is it a bad idea to do more than one piercing at one go? planning on getting lobes, double helix, spider bites and eyebrow piercing eventually. if anything, should I just start at lobes?

Which mods are better for a revamp of the game/fresh playthrough? mainly looking at 5.5e, amp/rel and chocolate edition, the likes. not really into trials of tav bc I still want the story.

and are these mods compatible with other stuff in general? from my understanding:

appearance and customisation mods should be fine

AMP/REL should be fine with most equipment mods

5.5e generally shouldn’t be used with anything that edits combat (?)

i hope to keep lvl 20 (expansion), fade’s dynamic levelling, the combat extender ai extension, 5e spells, ATTspells and homebrew spells. will anything here conflict with these?

I want to add spells of level 7-9 to a spell list of a modded class that doesn't use spells beyond lvl 6. Adding spells like Mystra's/ATT spells/Homebrew. Anyone able to show me/point me to any guides online? Can't seem to find any regarding this. Thanks!

For some reason, I can summon solo, but the moment I enter a team, i can’t summon anyone at all. I can play the harp, but no one comes out. Anyone have a fix for this?

hi all, been modding ER for a while now. Haven’t played for a few months but before this my modded save was running fine. downloaded a new version of smithbox yesterday, updated the files, but now it won’t launch. it flickers a black pop up console then doesn’t load. is there anything new that could be breaking it? i was running modengine2. i swapped it over to modengine3 and same issue. convergenve 3.0 runs just fine.

I’ve seen a few on nexus and mod.io but some comments seem to say that some effects are buggy. Are there any mods right now that work well and add effects to the wild sorceror?

Like the title says, my tutorial chest spawning started to lag after I installed 2 new outfit mods. It'll hang for about 20 seconds then be usable again. I removed the mods that were causing issues, but the chest still lags out when I spawn it. Is there any way to fix it?

I’ve seen a lot of recent posts asking how to recruit Minthara, so I thought I’d make a (sorta) updated guide as a player who took up BG3 recently and loves having Minthara around. No more outdated info! I hope. hehe. If I made any mistakes (or there’s things I missed) do let me know I’ll add it in. Anything new I’ll just add to the bottom.

TLDR in case anyone doesn’t want/need an in depth guide
Act 1 - Knock her out w non-lethal/Ignore the quests related to the goblin camp completely
Act 2 - Enter the throne room in Moonrise Towers and pick options in her favour.
Kill her torturers and rescue her from the Towers.

PT 1 - GOBLIN CAMP

This is where you’ll first meet Minthara. If you take your time to explore there’s almost no way for you to miss this location. Here theres 3 ways for you to ensure Minthara’s survival.

1. Ignore the grove quest completely
2. Knock Minthara out
3. Ally with Minthara against the Grove

Allying with Minthara and ignoring the grove are the easiest ways to ensure she survives to Act 2. If you are knocking her out in goblin camp, deal with all the other side content first. Feel free to plough your way through the drinking party on the outside. It’s free XP. Priestess Gut should be a shoo-in if you get invited to her quarters. Deal with Dror Ragzlin AFTER talking to Minthara. More often than not aggroing him means aggroing Minthara, which you shouldn’t do if you want to interact with her (and save Sazza). If you don’t really care about this, just kill everyone in the camp and knock out only Minthara. If you do it this way, I recommend talking to Zevlor to end off the quest just to be sure the game registered it as complete.

Rescue Halsin if you aren’t allying against her. DO NOT LONG REST IN BETWEEN DEALING WITH HER AND RESCUING HIM. or it’s very likely she will die. Talk to Minthara, rescue Halsin, THEN long rest. If you are knocking her out at the Grove, either avoid barrelmancy, or send two companions (with either misty step or feather fall them prior) over to Minthara and deal with her first, so that the archer tieflings don’t kill her, and she doesnt step over the fire surface from your barrels. REMEMBER TO TOGGLE NON LETHAL AND DEAL MELEE DAMAGE (ive made this mistake multiple times)

If you knocked her out at the grove fight, her body will be gone and she will leave her Spider Lyre behind after the party. If this happened, rest assured you will see her again.

PT 2 - MOONRISE TOWERS

Minthara SHOULD survive Act 1 at this point. You will meet her again in the Throne Room of Moonrise Towers. If you allied with her, you’ll be praised by Ketheric and Z’rell and she will eventually ally with you permanently. If you knocked her out, you need to use your tadpole to convince Z’rell to be lenient to Minthara. If you pick the right options, she’ll be dragged down to the prison. AFAIK she won’t be executed in the throne room, but I normally choose to deal with her in the prison for flavour reasons.

Once you finish the throne room dialogue, go to the prison, where she will be getting tortured by two cultists. Kill them or pass a few dialogue checks and she will become a temporary ally. At this point, it’s pretty easy to sneak her out. You can cast any Invisibility spell but it’s not a must. If you get caught you just have to pass a persuasion/deception check or two and you’ll get away with it. Once she’s out of the Towers, she’ll ask to join your camp.

And there you have it. Enjoy your evil, complex drow paladin. I also reccomend adding her to the party, removing her, then long resting before adding her back before levelling. Sometimes the experience can get wonky and she won’t sync with your party. This should reset any script issues. I personally brought her back to Moonrise with no issues, but I’ve seen reports of people saying you’ll get aggro-ed. Personally the only difference I noticed is that Z’rell will comment on it if you bring her to your first meeting.

In my experience, recruiting Minthara isn’t very buggy (Jaheira very much is, to my annoyance) I’ve recruited her 5 times already according to these steps, so there shouldn’t be any issues.

but I haven’t talked to the dude about it yet. thing is, I found Thrumbo before meeting Mystic Carrion and I REALLY don’t wanna help him. I heard MC is also linked to the Necromancy of Thay quest? In which order should I do these?

I have most of the 5e subclass mods and lvl 20 mod. looking into more unique multiclass options. I don’t mind a barb but ideally not a class that relies on cheesing with soul coin strength potion monk. thanks!
