My daughter was born with an amazing grumpy face that looked a lot like the Pokemon Shroomish, so I had to make her a hat! The first one came out too small so I sized up and made a second.

Pattern: the flower hat
Fabric: poly and cotton scraps

I used my cricut to cut out the pattern pieces and the appliqués for the spots. I deviated from the pattern and bit and made a lining from some of our old sheets. The underside of the brim is also green!

Looking for what this fabric is called - waterproof but light and soft, suitable for babies and children. It’s like umbrella fabric but softer and drapes almost like rayon challis.

A friend bought this in Japan, it’s essentially a dress shaped bib so that when his baby spills her whole front is covered and they can just wipe it off. Seems easy enough to make but the fabric is important and I’m not sure what it’s called. Maybe a type of nylon?

I created an svg for the shape and had my cricut cut it out. Sewed to the pant legs with a blanket stitch.

I thought I liked barrel pants but they don’t work on me. I think a straight, wide pant with a curved seam might be an ideal fit!
