I sued a famous chef for wrongful termination and I won.

I can't get into the specifics because of the Non-Disclosure Agreement I signed. It is pretty air tight.

I was wrongfully terminated and I stood up for myself. I knew they were going to fire me before they did it. I told the rest of the staff they need to stand up for themselves, but they were afraid.

The lawyer worked on contingency. Meaning they only get paid if they win. I expected x$, but I got x*2$ which made me happy.

I'm not allowed to speak with any current or former employees, but I wanted people to know -

Stand up for yourself. You have Rights.

Best job for people with bipolar?

I had the worst manic and depressive episodes of my life a few months ago and am rethinking my entire life.

I want to do the best that I can to manage this bullshit. But my job is a very social one, and I am told that social situations are often triggering for people with bipolar. So I have started thinking about changing careers.

What do you do for a living? And how has it been with managing the ups-and-downs?

I have an appt for a full clinical review by a state psychologist tomorrow.

The Federal government is sending me for a full clinical diagnoses tomorrow for my Disability Income application, and I am nervous for some reason.

I have been diagnosed bipolar since I was a teenager, and I am 40+ now. I don't know why I am nervous but I feel like my life is in their hands.

I'm scared if they find some reason to "un diagnose me" or something I will lose all my assistance, therapy, medication, etc... and if I lose my meds...

I don't know what will happen.

Daniel Laurie's achievements so far?

Let's see. So far...

He closed down programs at CCSF but took money from out of state universities to come into the city.

He closed down the Mission Cultural Arts Center.

He allowed wealthy tech houses in Hayes Valley, but closed down housing and food programs for the poor.

He spends a thousand dollars a night of our tax money on dinner at one of the fanciest steakhouses in the city.

He had his security assault a homeless man, on camera, because the guy was in his photo shoot. He then used his influence to have the man arrested and charged. This is all despite showing the bodyguard as the aggressor on camera.

He claims to be a supporter of LGBTQ, but then sent the cops with batons after the Pride parade.

He distracts the city with bread and circuses but doesn't even use local artists.

He took credit for moving the homeless, even though it was a Supreme Court decision to allow police to relocate homeless people by force.

He took credit for the lack of fent on the streets even though the federal government is stopping it from coming in.

Better than a local business, we have Taco Bell Cantina and AT&T as our flagship!

He recently claimed he made it easier for businesses to apply for changes online, even though that already existed.

He sure is good with his street walks and food influencer videos though!

Did I miss anything?

First day, going crazy

Trying to quit after 30 some years of consistent all-day everyday smoking.

I'm so anxious and bored right now. I don't know what to do. I feel like everything was more entertaining when I was high. Now I am getting bored with video games. I have hobbies, but they are not every day. I've done a ton of chores today but can't shake the nervous boredom and anxiety. I want so bad to just get some weed delivery.

Help!

Unable to login to myEdd account, access denied??

I am on disability and am unable to login to myEdd account and on the "something wrong" page the phone number connects me to loud noises and static.

The phone number they gave me is automated with only 3 options and nothing to speak to a real person.

Does anyone have any ideas how I am supposed to handle this? A phone number that I can call? I was going to send a letter, I don't know what else to do.

Considering surrendering my cat back to the shelter

I adopted a 3 month old kitten 4 months ago, he is 7 months now.

I live an active life-style and wanted an adventure cat to go with me. I took time getting him acclimated to the harness, leash, and backpack, he heels and recalls. He looks out the window a lot and loves to run around my apartment building. But when I take him out under open sky he becomes anxious, wants to go back inside and meows.

I took him camping and he didn't eat or drink, other than a little treats and a little tuna. I kind of panicked and cut my camping trip short. (I learned that I can give him water directly into his mouth for these types of situations).

On top of that he refuses to play solo more than a few seconds. He only wants to play with me. Unfortunately I cannot get another cat due to my apartment size, and if he came outside with me he would have more activities.

He doesn't lick, he bites. He will be grooming himself, laying on me, and then get to my arm and nip it. I have tried saying ow and pulling away and he continues to do it.

He also loves to wrestle, kind of hard. I have tried the same thing but he is persistent.

If I don't play with him, he will meow, eventually he gives that up and starts attacking my leg or arm to get me away from whatever I am doing.

He is also not very cuddly, he will lay near me, but almost just out of reach for pets. He almost never wants pets except when he is hunger or when he wakes up and then it is only a few seconds and he gets overstimulated and bites.

He is very far away from the type of cat I wanted, and with me out of the house all the time I don't feel I can give him a good life. But I have grown attached to him and he is attached to me, so I feel terrible about considering this, but I don't know what to do.

Play bonded kitten and playing alone

I got a kitten about 3 months ago. He is 6 months now, 3 months when I got him. We bonded very quickly. By the first morning he was pouncing me and playing chase/tag. He is the coolest little guy and very smart.

But he is play bonded with me and has a difficult time playing by himself. He always tries to get me to play with him and I am a sucker for a cute face so I fold a lot. I work from home and when I absolutely can't play with him he seems kinda sad and goes to lay down.

How do I get him to play without me?

I'm looking for a career change and I want to get into the trades.

When I was younger I worked with my uncles, one was a plumber, and one was a roofer. I also worked with a marine electrician on boats. And I really enjoyed it, but ended up in the restaurant industry. I am burnt out, and tired of it and looking for a change.

I'm interested in plumbing or electrical work but don't really know where to begin. I don't mind starting as a helper, but is that what I should do with no knowledge? Or should I take a course of some kind first? Should I talk to a union?

I'd like to get everyone's opinion on this. If you have any tips, tricks, or recommendations I'd love to hear them.
