Been seed oil free for 60 days and my lifelong dandruff disappeared

I did not expect this. I started cutting out seed oils because of the inflammation claims not because of my scalp. I have had dandruff since I was a teenager. Tried every shampoo and cream on the market. Nothing worked long term. About three weeks into eating no soybean canola or sunflower oil I noticed my scalp was not itchy anymore. Two months now and no flakes at all. The only thing I changed was the oil. I still eat carbs and dairy and sugar. Has anyone else had weird skin or scalp issues clear up after ditching seed oils or am I losing my mind?

Man, I'm wiped today. You know that feeling where adulting just piles up: work, bills, trying to eat something besides takeout, and somehow the dentist appointment you meant to book months ago keeps getting pushed? Yeah, that was me. My teeth have been bugging me a bit, nothing crazy, but I kept thinking I'll do it next week until my jaw started feeling off and I was like... okay, time to stop ignoring this. I finally went to a dentist at Urbn Dental in Houston, walked in tired and expecting the usual drill-and-bill stress, but it was actually... chill? The chairs were comfy, they had this relaxed vibe with music and even a little lounge area where you can grab coffee while waiting. The team was super nice and took their time explaining stuff without making me feel wrong for waiting so long. Got a solid cleaning, quick check, and they used some cool tech that made the whole thing faster and less annoying than I remembered.

Left there feeling way better about my mouth and honestly a little proud of myself for handling one more adult task. Small wins, right?

Dreamed last month that my usual coffee brand changed its bag color to teal. Woke up, laughed it off. Three weeks later, there it was on the shelf, teal. Not a life changing prediction, just weird enough to make me pause.

Anyone else have a small, totally useless premonition that actually came true?

I just started trying to make sushi at home and I’m realizing it’s a lot harder than it looks.

My rolls keep coming out a bit loose or uneven, and I can’t get the rice texture quite right. I’ve watched a few videos but it still doesn’t feel the same as restaurant sushi.

what’s your biggest tip for getting tight, clean rolls?

It feels like we’re reaching a breaking point with social media. Half the comments on any trending thread now feel like they were generated by an LLM, and it’s becoming nearly impossible to tell what’s a real human opinion versus a bot farm designed to farm engagement or manipulate a narrative.

The Proof of Personhood tech is an interesting, if controversial attempt to solve this. The idea is to verify a unique human identity via biometrics to ensure that every account belongs to a real person. While it sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, the actual tech uses Zero-Knowledge Proofs to confirm you are a unique human without actually revealing your real-world identity to the apps you use.

Basically, it’s an attempt to create a human layer for the internet to filter out the noise.

I’m curious about the trade-offs here.

On one hand, I’d love a version of social media where I know I’m actually interacting with people and not scripts.

On the other hand, the privacy implications of a global biometric standard are huge.

Is this the only way to save our digital spaces from being completely overrun by AI, or is it a step too far?

I am coming from a wired HyperX Cloud II. The sound is fine but the cable is annoying and the mic is just okay. I want to go wireless for convenience but I keep reading that most wireless gaming headsets have mediocre sound quality and heavy batteries. I looked at the Audeze Maxwell but 490 grams seems insane for long sessions. My neck already hurts from bad posture. I don't need the absolute best sound ever but I want something better than typical gaming brand mush. Budget is flexible but under 400 would be nice. Must have a decent built in mic because I don't want a separate boom arm on my desk. I play mostly single player games and some Valorant with friends so I need to be heard clearly. Is there a wireless headset that sounds good, has a usable mic, and doesn't feel like a brick on my head. Or am I asking for too much.

Hey everyone,

Tbh im torn rn about what to do with our house... Weve lived in our 3 bed 2 bath place in Phoenix for the last 5 years. Its around 1,650 sq ft with a two car garage and a small backyard. We painted most rooms and updated the bathrooms but the roof is getting pretty old and the kitchen is still dated.

Now we need to sell because were moving to Texas in about 7 weeks for my new job. Listed it with a realtor but showings have been slow and buyers want too many fixes. Renovating would cost us time and money we dont really have right now.

What would you do in my situation? Fix it up first or just sell as is to a cash buyer? Any advice would be appreciated...

I'm 29 now. So it's been 17 years of migraines. I consulted multiple neurologists, and none of them mentioned this.

I found out almost by accident that magnesium deficiency is directly connected with migraine frequency. CoQ10 has been studied specifically in migraine prevention. To mention, they're in actual headache medicine guidelines.

Every appointment I ever had ended with a prescription or a "keep a trigger diary." Nobody once said here are some nutritional gaps that are common in migraine sufferers.
I've been taking a supplement called MigreLief that combines all three at the doses used in many of the studies about migraine. Three months in, and my frequency has dropped noticeably.

I'm not saying it works for everyone. I'm saying I wish someone had mentioned this chance existed 17 years ago.

Did your doctor ever bring this up? Or did you find out on your own, too?

Hey r/oakville, looking for some real talk here.

I manage a 25,000 sq ft warehouse off the QEW and, not gonna lie, we just stumbled into a total nightmare.

Turns out we had a sneaky roof leak from all the freeze-thaw craziness this winter, and it’d been dripping behind the insulation for, like, three weeks before we even noticed. By the time a couple of water stains popped up, moisture meters were hitting 28–34% in the walls. Cue the black mold, already spreading in three separate spots. Two of our forklift guys are out sick with brutal respiratory stuff, too. It’s a mess.

Apparently, mold doesn’t mess around, can start colonizing in like 24–48 hours if it’s damp enough. Now we’re staring down shutting half the warehouse just to get ahead of it, and our insurance adjuster is already saying this could run $45k–$70k if it gets into the HVAC.

Anyone else in Oakville ever get blindsided by water damage turning into a full-on mold situation in a warehouse or industrial spot?

And more importantly, does anyone actually know a legit commercial restoration crew in Oakville that’s good with water damage and mold? Need someone fast, local, and who won’t make the insurance side a nightmare. Would seriously appreciate any real recs from folks who’ve been through it.

not talking about full aura exactly, more like this weird off feeling a few hours before it hits

for me it’s like I can’t focus properly, I get kinda irritable, and even light feels slightly “wrong” before the actual pain starts

sometimes I can tell what’s coming, other times I second guess it and then regret not taking meds earlier

just wondering how it shows up for other people

do you get a clear early sign or is it more random?

Going through a divorce and need to sell the house fast. I'm in Tampa, FL, and honestly, the emotional part is already draining enough without adding a house sale on top of it... We both want to move on, so the idea of this dragging out for months feels exhausting.

The house could use some updates, but I don't really have the time, money, or energy to deal with repairs right now. I've been looking at different routes, like listing with an agent or selling to a local cash buyer like revival homebuyer.

Part of me feels like taking the quickest, easiest option, even if it means getting a little less, so that I can close this chapter and move forward.

For anyone who's been through this, what worked best for you? Did you care more about getting the best price or just getting it done quickly?
