Devipuram's Guide to Sri Kalika Shodashopachara Puja

Here's the post on Instagram

They release a publication every Navaratri of the year with a guide on doing puja and the stotras you can recite as well. I followed it for all of Lalitambika Navaratri earlier this year and I absolutely recommend following their guide if you want to do something at home but don't know what to do.

I can't decide if their picture or bio is worse. I don't think this guy has ever interacted with a woman before

Finishing my undergraduate degree at the end of the upcoming school year, I feel lost

I am going to complete my major in geology and my minor I'm environmental science. I am extremely passionate about protecting the environment but I don't know how to combine that with a career in geology. I love being out in the field and I have a particular fascination with paleogeology but I don't think that would align with my desire to work in both geology and environmental science.

However, I was at a conference last year and I heard that there is some research being done on how to reuse industrial waste, and I really love the idea of trying to find ways to reuse waste or even a way to get more out of critical resources that can cause a lot of environmental damage to obtain. How realistic would it be to do that kind of work? Would I need to go to grad school?

How do you avoid impulsive spending?

Many years ago when I was first living on my own (over 10 years ago now) I was very financially responsible. I was able to survive on small amounts of money and build up enough savings to buy a car and the occasional expensive gift for my ex husband's birthday, etc.

Due to circumstances beyond my control (basically my ex financially ruined us) I was put in a situation of working a full time job for the first time in years while still actively being unable to function normally because I was having severe panic attacks every night and not sleeping, and getting up early for work triggered them more. I was depressed and being emotionally abused so I really ramped up my impulsive spending. I had struggled with it gradually over the years but it never got so bad that there was no money left before. It has been almost 7 years since I got out of that situation and I still keep spending every single bit of money I have left after bills and racking up now thousands of dollars on monthly payments for impulsive purchases I can't afford.

I have gotten to a point now where I can't sustain this. I was able to still get away with my impulsive spending for the most part because I would spend all my financial aid on bullshit instead of saving it. I've exhausted all the savings I had and I'm scared. I know I need to stop my impulsive spending and if I do I'll be able to build up my savings pretty quickly again, but I just can't do it.

If anyone has advice on how to manage this I'd love to hear it. I'm so tired of not being able to afford anything I want to do or being able to have a cushion if an emergency raises because I blow all my money on things I don't need

Does anyone know about this form of Saraswathi?

I found this picture of Saraswathi from an old Telugu weekly print and I'm a bit confused because I'm not aware of any form of her where she holds flower arrows and a sugarcane bow. I thought maybe she could be Shyamala but as far as I know only Raja Shyamala has the veena, sugarcane bow, and flower arrows, but she also has 8 arms.

I got the Galaxy s26 Ultra and put the prism screen protector on the same day I got it. I am a very clumsy person and even though I have a grip and a wrist strap I still manage to drop my phone a lot. Less than a week after having my phone I dropped it face down in a parking lot and the screen protector completely shattered and my screen became unusable until I took it off. I put another prism on and managed to go maybe a month without dropping it face down but I just accidentally did and now the protector is shattered again.

Before this I had a Galaxy s23 Ultra which I also dropped a lot and took it on a lot of hikes and rock hounding trips. I used cheap screen protectors off Amazon and never had a problem. Nothing shattered and I only had a few minor scratches from when I didn't use a screen protector and carried it around with my keys in my pocket. I've heard so many good things about these screen protectors but having two shatter on me in just 2-3 months is not sustainable. I'm just really confused because the reviews for these are great, and yes it does protect my screen but only once then it needs to be replaced. Are my expectations too high? I genuinely do not know
