Idiots on road

Today in the evening while I was crossing the Torq junction, a minivan entered the service road from exit (entry point is like 50 metres before exit ) and caused this accident. Luckily the 2 wheeler is safe ( although the phone screen got damaged )

Mod Announcement : Zero Tolerance Policy on Harassment, Doxxing, and Personal Attacks

Hi everyone,

We need to address a growing issue within the sub. Recently, we have seen an increase in users targeting specific individuals, engaging in personal harassment, and attempting to "dox" or attach individuals based on their comments or posts.

This behavior is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.

Effective immediately, the following actions will result in a permanent ban without warning:

  1. Harassment: Following a user across threads, sending unsolicited DMs, or repeatedly tagging someone to antagonize them.

  2. Doxxing: Sharing or threatening to share private information (names, phone numbers, addresses, workplace, etc.) of any user or public figure.

  3. Personal Attacks: Attacking an individual's character, appearance, or background rather than debating the topic or the firm.

  4. Brigading: Encouraging others to target or mass-report a specific user.

We are here to discuss Goldman Sachs, the financial industry, and career-related topics. Disagreements are fine; abuse is not.

If you are being harassed, please use the Report button and block the user. Do not engage. The mod team will handle it.

This is your only warning. If you can't conduct yourself professionally, you will be removed from this community.

Respect to NorthEast People

Living in Bengaluru, I've had the pleasure of interacting with many of you in the hospitality industry. Your patience, dedication, and ability to keep smiling through the day is truly inspiring. Hatsoff to you guys.

BJP is same as congress

Forcing E20 ethanol without a clear roadmap, the NEET paper leak that crushed students' dreams, the ongoing paddy procurement crisis crushing farmers, the blatant misuse of central agencies, and the unending violence in Manipur despite all this, our Prime Minister has remained completely silent. Not a single word of accountability.

This is truly disgraceful.

Even Manmohan Singh, despite being called a 'puppet' by critics, at least had the decency to face the press and share his views. In contrast, Modi seems more interested in staging photo-ops than addressing national crises.

I say this as someone who has voted for the BJP before but now I see no real difference between any party. That is why I firmly believe we must change the government every five years, just to keep them accountable and prevent any regime from taking the people for granted.

Does Ethanol blend save forex for India ?

Did approximate calculations based on publicly available data. These were the approximations I assumed : 6–7% mileage drop, 52% of vehicles facing ₹2k–6k extra maintenance, 11–12 million tonnes of grain diverted at ~$220–250/tonne import parity for Ethanol production and ~2–3 million tonnes of imported DAP/natural gas at $550–650/tonne for increased Fertilizer.

Gross forex saved (crude replaced) - ($5.2B)

Extra fuel due to 6-7% mileage drop - $1.5B

Increased vehicle maintenance - $0.5–1.1B

Maize & food security (imports/subsidies) - $0.9–1.1B

Fertilizer leak (DAP/MOP/NG imports) - $0.7–1.5B

NET ANNUAL SAVINGS ~$1.6–3.8B

Midpoint ~$2.7B

Is it worth the pain ? And also am I missing something else ?
