Essendon delivery times at present?

Hello, we are very excited to have ordered a 7x through a novated lease! The company hasn’t got delivery ETA at this moment so I’m wondering what timeframes have been given to anyone ordering through Essendon dealer. We are getting a LR in Brook, if that’s relevant. Thanks in advance!

Experiences with open plan offices?

Hello! Having a bit of a spiral as my workplace has undergone a refurb and we’re all being moved back into the office space which is now…open plan office (used to be all single offices).
Apparently now we are to be respectful of each other and noise/interruptions in the open plan office. Everyone is being given noise cancelling headphones, for scheduled meetings (a lot of our work is still with other workplaces or office locations) we need to book a meeting room and go in there but for ad hoc calls and meetings we have to go to an ad hoc/unbookable meeting room.
I’m neurodivergent and this just seems really…disruptive?
So I’m looking for people’s experiences and perspectives of open plan office space - good, bad, neutral? And also if your workplace ended up moving away from this design 😅
Thanks in advance!

Tinting and paint protection question

Hello everyone, thanks for taking the time to read my post! I’m about to do a Zeekr 7X via NL. I was originally planning to get ceramic tinting and paint protection after market as assumed the NL mark up would be astronomical, but the fleet guy mentioned yesterday that their rate for ceramic tinting is $625 which is competitive from my early investigations into after market cost, and there is a tax advantage to including it in the NL.
I know that many of you here are more car literate than I am so after opinions/info/advice, thanks!

Negotiating interest rate

Hello everyone. Currently working through my employer’s NL companies to see who can offer the best deal. I asked for an interest rate reduction from the most competitive quote so far (was 8.5% but have seen lower rates in other quotes) and got this response - need to have finance pre-approval beforehand. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks in advance!

What is a competitive interest rate at the moment?

Hello! I have a few quotes for a new NL to look over. The interest rates seem to vary by more than 1%! I am wondering what a realistically achievable but competitive interest rate for NL is at the moment. This will help inform how much I can expect them to budge when I’m negotiating!
Thanks ☺️

Is it even possible to sleep train a 3yo?

Hi all. We have reached a point with my almost 3yo little dude. He’s never been the greatest sleeper but the past 2 months he’s really gotten worse.
• while he would normally wake for the day 630/7am, often he’s waking between 5-6am. His room is temperature controlled with block out blinds so it’s not cold or light waking him
•he naps 1230-130 and goes down easy so seems to still need his nap
•bedtime is 7pm and he’s usually asleep by 730
At daycare he falls asleep for his nap on his own in minutes, with no patting or anything!
At home though, he has a bottle (diluted milk, we are weaning him off it) and is held to sleep then transferred. We might get criticism for that but it worked until now and was not a problem (even enjoyable to have end of day cuddles!) and he transferred to his cot no issues.

The past two months though - most nights will wake once or twice. Will demand milk and or water. Sometimes take 2 hours to settle him back to sleep.
Last night case in point. Woke at 1030pm and I didn’t get him back in the cot til after midnight.
I don’t even know where to start with sleep training. Obviously need to cut the bottle and somehow get him going to sleep on his own in the cot. But as one tired mum, can someone explain like I’m 5 how I actually do this without him screaming and waking the whole house?!
Thank you!

Cool slip on sneakers?

Hello team, a few years back at the height of pregnancy I purchased these rollies slip on sneakers and they were a godsend. Problem is I have now worn them beyond their natural death and they no longer sell them and I’m too used to slipping on sneakers now.
Does anyone know of cool/colourful slip on runners?
Thanks!

Holme Beauty Golden Hour Setting Spray vs Charlotte Tilbury setting spray

Hello! I’ve been a big Holme Beauty fan since its inception and religiously use the golden hour setting spray, find it gives a great little glow! But recently at a Mecca trip the CT spray was trialled on me and I rate it too (from that one application).
So intrigued to hear about other perspectives of these two sprays (do you rate/not rate) or even any other HG setting sprays!

Slow weight loss success

Just wanted to share…
I’ve been on MJ since November and lost 14kg which has often felt slow and small compared to some of the losses I’ve read about here or in other MJ forums across similar timespans.
This morning I put on this jumper and remembered it was the jumper I did my before shots in, so did an impromptu comparison photo - totally blown away! Haven’t really felt like my body has changed much and only one person has asked me if I’ve lost weight, so I didn’t think it was noticeable. But it really is. So glad that weight is gone!

PhD but work in industry

Hi guys. At the tail end of my PhD which is salivating in its own right - but I’m also entertaining the idea of alternative post PhD work to academia. Would love to hear experiences/perspectives of anyone who’s done this? For context my PhD is healthcare-related.

Novated lease questions (yep, more)

Hi everyone.
Strongly considering a novated lease for the long range 7x after test driving a few weeks ago. Just a few questions I’m not sure of the answers:

  1. the guy at the dealer said they are fixed price - has anyone negotiated a price?
  2. if I go with a NL do they pay the deposit to secure the car initially?
  3. what insurance companies are you all with, given it’s an EV and a new car make to Aus?

Thanks so much!

Primer and blush brush HGs please!

Hello!
Needing a couple of recommendations from the Aus Makeup legends.

  1. need a primer for my 38yo skin which is maturing and on the dry side. Want my skin tints/foundations to apply and sit nicely, thanks!
  2. brush recommendations for applying and blending out cream or liquid blushes. I have the WA mini blushes and a NARS sample I’m currently using but might try liquids in future.

Thanks so much!

Hello! As per the title - looking for insight into approximate delivery times if someone ordered a 7x now through a Melb dealer - when are you expecting to receive it/what info has been provided?
Thanks!

As the title goes!
I’m writing up my thesis, yay. But this part may be the part that ends me. I have 3 publications which need to be presented as published in the thesis.
So far I have tried

  1. inserting images - they seem blurry even at 600dpi
  2. insert pdf as object - text from file (this gets close but the formatting is inevitably weird especially for the pdfs with double columns)
  3. convert pdf to word - again loses formatting

The theses from colleagues I have seen all have their publication pdfs inserted seemingly perfectly! I will ask these colleagues how they achieved it but we work remotely and I haven’t seen them since trying to solve this issue, so I am asking a bigger brains trust here. Thanks so much!
