Mini mustache check in

3ish months on a low dose of T. Not looking for too many serious changes, mostly a little mustache and a slightly lower voice. Just aiming for a bit more androgyny ☺️ I’m happy with the results so far!

Had surgery to remove endometrial tissue? Tell me your story

So I have a big tissue mass on my left ovary, it’s been hurting me for months. I got an ultrasound and just got an MRI. The MRI showed a lot more than the mass, it looks like I have a lot of scarring and tissue on the back of my uterus and up against my bowels I guess. The gyno put in a referral for me to see an endometriosis specialist who can do surgery to remove the mass and all the other tissue. I want to know others experience with this kind of thing. I will say I feel pretty lucky to get this diagnosed and figured out so quickly.

I’m 27, I’ve always had bad periods and had suspected endometriosis but was never in enough pain to do anything about it. That changed about 6 months ago when I started getting debilitating cramps in my left ovary that would happen when I’m not on my period. I told my PCP who got me scheduled for ultrasound and MRI pretty quickly. I want surgery ASAP because the mass has been causing me so much pain! I want to know what others surgery experience was like.

Where would you go for a November birthday getaway?

I’m dreaming about my birthday in November. It would be fun if I could do a 1 or 2 night getaway with my girlfriend. Looking for a hotel/resort with a spa. Nice restaurants, atmosphere, etc. we are in Eugene so pretty central to getting anywhere. Give me your recommendations please!

Demi at Oregon Country Fair!

Was so stoked to see Demi at OCF! I never look at the performance line up ahead of time, but when I was waiting in line at registration for my wristband I saw someone who looked exactly like Demi walk by. I thought to myself “why would Demi be here at this hippy fest? Surely that’s not him”. The next day when I was hanging out at my booth I was scanning through the performance schedule and saw Demi listed! I beelined it over to the stage and was able to catch half his set and get a pic with him 😁 Demi you are awesome! Please come back to OCF next year!

Rest In Peace dude 🫶🏻

I was lucky enough to see Oliver Tree in Portland twice in 2019.

First two pics are from the Ugly Is Beautiful Tour on February 18th 2019. Me and my old friends put temporary tattoos on our faces, wore tiny funny sunglasses and fake chains. We even threw one of the chains on stage and he put it on!!

The last pic is from September 15th 2019, a different tour later that year. I censored out the people I don’t talk to anymore (lol). The memories are still amazing, I fell out of listening to Oliver Tree after 2022 (the cowboy stuff didn’t appeal to me). But boy that first tour, the Dixie cup outfit and the scooter was awesome. The Alien Boy EP was always on rotation with my friend group. That pre-Covid time was wild… I’ll always hold it fondly in my heart. Thanks for the memories Oliver ✌🏻

So what lakes are we going to today?

Has anyone been out to Baker Bay recently? I remember really liking it out there in the past summers but I don’t know how high the water is right now! Or if there is any other swimming lake suggestions send them my way (I still have yet to go out to triangle lake).

PA > OR in 5ish days with fun stops!

I’m on the last day of this adventure. Heading back into Eugene today from Hood River. Wow what a journey! This all started because my grandmother passed away in PA and left her old car (a 1997 Toyota Camry) to my mom, who was determined to get it back to Oregon. We left on the 15th and needed to be back in Oregon on the 20th because I have an appointment to get to!

Day 1: started near Reading PA > stopped in Cleveland OH > made it to Madison WI for the night. Total drive time was about 15 hours. This day sucked! We did stop at a few rest stops to stretch and switch off driving but we were feeling pretty rough by the time we got to the hotel.

Day 2: started in Madison WI > went to the farmers market > went to House on the Rock > made it to Mitchell SD for the night. Total drive time was about 8 hours. This day was decent since we spent a while in Madison and spent 4 hours exploring House on the Rock! Though we did end up leaving WI later than we thought, which got us into SD after midnight.

Day 3: started in Mitchell SD > stopped at the corn palace > stopped at the prairie dog ranch store > went through Badlands > stopped at Wall Drug > made it to Buffalo WY for the night. The drive through SD was long, flat, boring, but we made so many stops that it ended up being not too bad. About 7 hours of driving total. We ended up leaving Wall Drug later than expected which had us driving in the dark into WY and we almost hit a deer! We got to the hotel around 10:30.

Day 4: started in Buffalo WY > stopped for a while in Bozeman and went to the hot springs > ended up in Deer Lodge for the night. We decided to do a pretty easy day this day. It was about 4 hours from Buffalo to Bozeman. Then we stayed at the hot springs for almost 4 hours, then drove less than 2 hours up the road to Deer Lodge for the night.

Day 5: started the day in Deer Lodge > stopped in Missoula > stopped at the 50,000 Silver Dollar restaurant/gift shop > briefly stopped in Spokane WA > made it to Hood River OR. We did about 8 and a half hours of driving. We are very close to home now being in Hood River. We didn’t want to push on the 3 hours at night though so we stayed overnight. Now we only have 3 hours back today and I need to get to my dentist appointment at 3pm!

Day 6 (today): starting in Hood River > brief stop in Portland > then driving south to Eugene. Only 3 hours left. Going to get into town and go directly to my appointment.

Just passing through. Saw this masterpiece

On a cross country road trip to get back home to Eugene Oregon. Saw this beauty when we were pulling off the freeway and coming into town for coffee. Seems like you guys are just as freaky as us Oregonians 😉 I love it.
