In another life, could Corvus and Konrad be friends?

In another life, could Corvus and Konrad be friends?

With such similar tactics i feel reminded of how the Iron Warriors and Imperial Fists also have been pondered on if they could have worked together in tandem in another life.

Could these brothers and their sons acting together, with a sane and more noble Konrad that is and also a legion of justice seekers/killers of sinners, be an unstoppable duo against traitors and aliens alike?

Can Mechanicus be wholesome sometimes?

Im a somewhat recent enjoyer of all things mechanicus lore and trying to understand it all.

Im playing through Mechanicus and soon Mechanicus 2 and Dawn of War 4 eventually and enjoying the first one splendidly.

But id like to know if the faction as a whole has the capacity for the more softer emotions in their cogitator banks such as love(family, friends, romantic partners), sadness, joy and comraderie amongst their retinue?

Are there any moments where the forces of the mechanicus display these traits? Or is it all binary beeps and logical acquisitions no matter the cost in life?

Whats another way Iron Warriors could "utilize anything as a resource"?

A lesser talked about aspect of the 4th legion that I love so much is the idea of them using almost anything as a viable resource to be harvested and repurposed into something they can feasibly use in their vast industrial war machine.

Such notable examples being to use mortal slaves as free labor for their mines or factories, building material when they die or food for other slaves to keep them going, or even as free useful mine field clearance tools or fodder for the enemy to waste ammo on.

Or even the biggest ones being taking daemons from the warp to use as batteries and forced into the frontlines on mass as heavy armor to break the enemy armies or fortifications. Or use the obliterator/mutilator virus to pump out more mutated heavy weapon troops and into tyranid bio-ships as handy titan transports.

Amongst these which is your favorites and, in your humble genius minds my brothers, what other ideas of similar caliber do you have like these we could use?

So are these guys all dead and gone in modern era or?

I really super love this unique unit of the Horus Heresy era, really personalized the Iron Warriors legion more which was fun and interesting. Their lore of being super advanced robot bodyguards was a favorite of mine but I dont hear about them past the Civil War era?

Was it confirmed or just assumed they all got destroyed overtime and none were built to replace the past one?

Kinda hoping too we get something like this as a special iron warriors unit in current era, to give 4th legion armies more flavor than other traitors

Any video games out there that give a true 4th legion experience?

Been kinda down lately since theres not hardly any choices for wanting to feel like a real iron warrior.

Dont have any models yet cuz money is a bit tight tho I will eventually.

Closest ive found is the chaos dwarfs in total warhammer 3 but ive kinda played them to death since they dropped a few years back.

Deep Rock Galactic is fun and I can kinda roleplay in my mind about being deployed for the primarch's orders to mine and greedily take every resource possible, killing any native lifeform i find. Tho im not sure if Iron Warriors approve drinking...

Battlefield 1 ive tried since I love that game but nowadays its a shadow of its former self with hardly any player count and the operations mode I love dearly is bastardized 80 percent of the time I join a match with vehicles disabled and only one gun allowed to use.

So idk, if my brothers of the 4th legion have any alternatives id be happy to hear you out.

Iron Within, Iron Without.

Im vaguely intrigued by their lore in both 30k and 40k, and wanted to know some stuff before I got into them.

How are they on tabletop rn?

What are their beliefs and methods of war?

Are they up to anything at all rn? Any major plans like that of the Iron Warriors' grand citadel plans?

Can I get a whole army based purely off noise marines and heavy armor or is that not really too fitting for the decadent legion's warbands?

If the Word Bearers ever get some appreciation by GW and end up with their own big plans and campaign such as the Iron Warriors are up to with the Infinite Citadel, what could they come up with on a grand galactic scale?

Would Lorgar come back? Some actual new big name Word Bearer lord with his own model like Kravek Morne? Maybe even official models and new units for the legion?

u/sigmarine345 — 17 days ago

This grand plan of an INFINITE CITADEL has me wondering about the end game.

What will happen once Perturabo and his legions "win"? Whatever that parameter can possibly exactly mean.

Or in a more hypothetical sense just generally how would the galaxy be remade by the 4th if they just owned everything? Is it just gonna be a GALACTIC CITADEL? Every world a fortress of endless breeding camps, slaves, daemon engines forges and warsmiths constantly warring against eachother? Would the Iron Warriors lose purpose?

HAPPY DAY TO ALL as this is totally the Iron Warriors day and not anything to do with laser sword swinging NERDS, but a different kind of 8 foot tall nerd with IRON IN THEIR BLOOD.

Ironically my Reign of Iron should be getting here today too lmao, what a fun coincidence.

In honor of such a day i wanted to ask what got you all into Iron Warriors?

Any particular stories on hand?

Favorite characters?

Is 30k or 40k era IW your favorite and why?

And has The 4th legion effected you in any real sense in your life since being a fan?

u/sigmarine345 — 18 days ago

Hypothetically lets say you are besieging a bitch-fist fortification like ya do, BUT, have to ally with a warband of one of the other legions.

How would you rank them in order of most to least useful, and how could they each be most effective in your efforts?

u/sigmarine345 — 19 days ago

Is this grand plan a grand idea?

How do we feel about it so far? And Is Kravek Morne an effective enough warsmith to get the job done?

u/sigmarine345 — 26 days ago

Specifically, is there any war or event purposely done by Night Lords as a whole or by any Night Lord warbands? Curious since they dont seem to have much spotlight as much as legions like the main four or right now with the Iron Warriors.

Also on that note, is there anything you can see them doing in the future against the imperium or any other of their enemies? Last I recalled the big note was attacking a craft world which sounds fucking huge but hasnt happened yet to my knowledge

u/sigmarine345 — 26 days ago

If you were to personally describe the reasons for Word Bearers of today still pushing on through the long war, the whys and beliefs, how would you?

How do they see the warp, chaos, the dark gods?

Do any of them care for their fellow chaos space marine or mortal cultists?

What are their methods of war and how do they feel on daemons and daemon engines? Is there anything they'd detest against in warfare?
