Group of cunts running around south Islington
There's a group of maybe 50 idiots doing a group run blasting terrible music at an incredibly high volume around clerkenwell/south Islington. If you are part of this group just know you fucking suck

Hello! I'm looking around for weaning equipment as my daughter will be 6 months soon. We have a Tripp Trapp high chair. I'm planning to get the catchy mat that goes onto the tray so that suctioned plates can work on it. I read online that the Elk and Friends plates don't fit on the Tripp Trapp tray so am looking for alternative plates suggestions. I'd like stainless steel plates with a silicone suction case and with separators. Any other suggestion for spoons/cups/bibs that are available in the UK is also welcome. Thank you!

Baby will be 16 weeks on Sunday. Exclusively formula fed since 5 weeks old. She was a good feeder, drank around 200ml of Aptamil at every feed and had about 900/950ml per 24 hours until last week. Something has now changed where she's become impossible to feed. She's totally uninterested in the bottle and she's only taking around 100ml per feed at the moment. Even after a long stretch of sleep. She's happy and content, not crying and has wet nappies. But I worry because she's taking half of what she normally had. I have booked an appointment with the paediatrician who will see her on Monday. I would like to ask if other people have experienced this. We have tried changing the teats for a faster flow but she's not ready for those as she gulps and isn't able to sustain it. I would appreciate any advice as I'm spiralling.
Edit to add: we've been to the GP yesterday who didn't know any better, her response was "she may be coming down with a bug". We tried feeding in a dark, quiet room but it didn't help. The only way I've managed to get a decent amount into her in order to hit at least 50% of what she was having before is by feeding her while asleep doing dream feeds. It's an absolute nightmare.

Looking for ideas.. I feel like we're at a stage where she wants entertainment but she's still too little to enjoy many things. Lately she's just been voraciously sucking on her hands and even if I try with some toys, or to put her on her tummy with things to look at, she's still mostly interested in just sucking her fingers. Nothing wrong with sucking fingers and I know it's an important milestone for weaning when the time comes, but I feel like maybe she's bored and I'm not doing enough to make her happy and engaged? She starts yawning early in her wake window.
She also rolled once from her tummy to her back 2 weeks ago but has never done that again since.
Hi All, my baby is almost 15 weeks old and has been exclusively formula fed since she was 5 weeks old. Feeds have always been easy, she has always taken the bottle happily, she is a slow feeder so she's always taken the full hour to finish her bottle with lots of winding in between but she would always finish her bottle. Since about one week she has however started getting really fussy on the bottle. She'll drink the first 100ml or so ok, but then starts crying when I try to put the teat near her mouth, will kick her feet and shake her head wildly. I am worried because she's having about 150ml less per 24 hours than she used to. Until last week, we were aiming for 950ml per 24 hours but currently it's a real struggle and we're hovering more around 850ml per 24 hours. Has someone experienced this before? I am considering going to see a specialist but would be great to hear from other people if they had similar experiences.
I just want to warn everyone who is formula feeding their baby and thinking about buying a perfect prep machine from Tommee Tippee - do not buy it! The machine has a temperature sensor which reads the temperature of the water that goes into the formula feed. If the temperature is outside the permitted range then the machine doesn't work. My machine arrived broken as that temperature sensor was on regardless of the water temperature, thereby making the machine unusable. I have been in contact with their customer service about this for DAYS now and they just won't agree on a refund. They've asked me to: put the water jug in the fridge, take the jug out of the fridge 30 minutes before preparing a feed, using ice cubes in the jug, take pictures of the appliance, take videos of the appliance, and the list goes on. I've complied with all their requests and they still won't go ahead and refund me, they even tried making up that there was some steam appearing in the video (???) which would make the machine unusable. They're basically trying every trick in the book to not give me my money back over a faulty machine. As if I didn't have enough on my plate already with a newborn! Shocking customer service, beware.
Hi all, my baby is only 14 weeks so we're not weaning yet, but I'd like to start gathering resources and read/learn about it so that I feel prepared when the time comes. Can people share how they approached this big milestone? Any particular recommendations on books/websites/apps? And what products would you recommend? We have a Tripp Trapp from stokke which we are currently using with the newborn insert and thus that will become my baby's highchair. Did you practice assisted sitting before starting weaning? If so, from when and how? And how did you approach incorporating meals into your baby's routine? I would be grateful for any insights and experience that people are willing to share. Thank you!
Hi, my baby had her 12 week vaccinations this morning. After taking the rotavirus syrup she vomited it straight up alongside her feed she had had before. Nurse said she wouldn't give her another dose today and to come back next week so I said fine. We got the two jabs. Baby was ok during the afternoon, a bit less energetic than her usual self but fine and didn't have a temperature. We skipped bath today just to be on the safe side. We gave Calpol as advised. However now after her bedtime feed she vomited it all up. I thought vomiting was common with rotavirus but seeing as she virtually didn't have any, I am concerned. Is this also a normal side effect of the jabs?
Like many others probably, we're thinking of getting a proper aircon system installed this autumn in anticipation of next summer and all the other ones to come. Slight problem: we live in a flat in a conservation area. So we will need planning permission from a) our freeholder and b) the council. Has anyone faced a similar situation before? We'd like to use a company to deal with this and are wondering whether anyone has any recommendations. Thank you in advance!
Hello! We need a travel cot for our baby to sleep in while we will be visiting family this summer. Our baby will be around 4 and a half months old. I've been searching around the internet but haven't been able to make up my mind yet. We'll be travelling by car so weight is not a big concern. I'd love some advice as I'm finding it hard to navigate all the options
Sorry everyone, I have an 8 week old baby and I'm just bracing for sleepless nights freaking out over the heatwave. We live in a south-west facing flat that gets the sun over the whole afternoon and the temperature inside is currently 27 degrees. We have had blinds down all day and windows closed, I have a fan on to try and keep baby cool without pointing it at her and she's in a strappy vest with 0.2 tog love to dream swaddle sack. I have ordered a portable air con unit but won't arrive until Tuesday due to the damn bank holiday. I am absolutely freaking out and scared for my baby.
First time trying. Baby is almost 7 weeks. Thank you for your help
Hi! I'm a first time mother to my baby who will be 5 weeks on Sunday. I'd love to wear her comfortably for naps but haven't been able to make up my mind about the right carrier yet. I had purchased a ryloobaby sling but I really don't love it. I find the material way too warm and also I had difficulties getting the baby in, it just didn't feel like I could get her in in a comfortable position (so perhaps a sling is not for us?). I live in the UK. Any advice would be welcome. Thank you!
