• Perform a complete Joy-Con 2 shell swap
• Replace all buttons
• Install new magnetic side rails (Mag Rails)
• Safely remove and replace the Joy-Con 2 accent rings without damaging the sticks using a 3D printed tool

Had to fix another shops bodge job!

Really don’t get how it’s that difficult for a “professional” to get this right.

Customer had complained their triangle button wasn’t working after sending it to repair elsewhere for stick drift. It was found the yellow wire was loose after being pinched by the shell, and had shorted the filter on the back of the board.

No adverse issue with the triangle button, but a a very misaligned stick 🤦‍♂️

This is what turned up(first 3 pictures). And my results without trying(the last 3 pictures) for my repair ☺️

My question though, is if you’re just gonna replace the entire stick anyway, then why not replace it with TMR, and have done with cheap pots?

Honestly, my biggest secret is just a free TMR upgrade, even if the customer only wants to pay for basic stick drift repair. Win win!

Aknes/Hallpi TMR for Joy Con 2

Aknes/Hallpi TMR Sticks have just landed, glad to know they listened to feedback and fixed all the issues that plagued the early batch of Gulikit sticks.

Overall they are super smooth, Don’t get me wrong they’re not as fluid as the OG sticks, by far not jarring like other aftermarket sticks.

They have a satisfying click to them, and calibration is effected by the on board magnets. The left one was perfectly calibrated out of the box.

Super happy they took on my advice too, to make them available with Black and White accent rings, as well as OG blue and orange.
