how worried should I be about endometrial cancer?

25F, diagnosed with PCOS after stopping birth control over a year ago and having no natural periods on my own. among other symptoms. My gynecologist said I am at risk for endometrial cancer since I do not get periods naturally. she has given me progestin twice now to induce a period. How concerned should I be? She said when I was on birth control it reduced my risk but I don’t want to go back on it until husband and I are done having kids. He isn’t quite ready but I’m worried that with my risk factors, and the fact that we will likely struggle to conceive (my gyno believes this and has offered clomid when we’re ready) may need to push the timeline up. has anyone else been in this situation?

everyone around me is pregnant. and easily

just venting. multiple friends have either just had a baby or are currently pregnant. several of my coworkers are too. so I can’t really escape it lol. and most of them have mentioned they weren’t trying for long. not only do I wish we were planning right now, but I have anovulatory PCOS and my gyno thinks it will be difficult to get pregnant naturally. so seeing everyone have an easy time of it just kinda stings. and the waiting is making me anxious. since I know we’ll have difficulties I just want to get the ball rolling 😩 husband isn’t quite ready and I understand. but dang. sucks right now. anyone in the same boat??

becka/garth final scene thoughts

I had my suspicions of Garth all season but this episode he really grew on me. And maybe I’m reading into it, but it looked like Becka had the smallest glimmer of relief on her face after he laid her down and she realized she wasn’t going to be forced to endure a traditional “wedding night”. I’ve seen a lot of people say he’s “locking her up” but I think him locking the door is valid given that she’s not in a good mental state and also sedated. he has no idea if she’ll wake up and be violent. I think he really does care about her tho and will do his best to keep her safe. maybe eventually she will be able to learn he’s mayday and join as well? I know that’s a big jump but I don’t think it’s impossible. it would take time. but I really think he’ll use his power to protect her as much as he can. obviously she’d rather not be married at all but as far as marriages go I think this was the best case for her given the circumstances

handbag / crossbody recommendations for upcoming Europe travel?

Guys I am NOT a purse girly so I’m turning to the experts for help. I have a crossbody / fanny pack type bag for everyday but I need something bigger because this summer we are going to Europe. I want a bag big enough to hold my camera (a little Polaroid) and other time essentially. I really am not a big fan of the crescent shape, more into slouchy/shoulder bags. I like the hobo style shoulder bags but I think I need something I can wear across me. I was really hoping to find one I could use for both but I don’t think that’s possible. I really do need something fairly small since I’m small and a bag too bulky looks goofy on me. s long as it can fit a phone and Polaroid it should work. Budget friendly please 😅 can anyone give me some good recs?

can’t stop thinking about Rita telling Daisy “these girls have spent their whole lives being vigilant in a way you don’t understand”

I think Daisy is finally starting to see what she meant. as an outsider I’m sure it was easy to assume the girls would be sheltered and a little stuck up and I feel like she almost viewed them as a sort of curiosity at first. like “oh these gilead girls they’re so weird” and she’s really starting to see just how broken and helpless they are. first, with Becka’s confession to her at the ball and then everything with the dentist, I think it’s making her see them in a different, more depressing light. obviously she knew beforehand that they were oppressed but I think it’s just becoming more real for her

if the show follows Becka’s fate from the book…

It’s gonna destroy me 😭😭 especially knowing how they’ve really leaned in to her love for agnes in the show

book question- baby Nichole

in the book it says baby Nichole was snuck out via Ada/other Mayday and was hidden in a backpack- but the handmaids tale book ends with Offred still being pregnant ? So did Offred not get out initially? Maybe I’m misunderstanding but it’s not completely adding up to me. I read THT years ago so I may have the ending mixed up but I didn’t think Nichole was born at the end of it.

deoderant for Cymbalta sweats

I’ve got the SSRIs sweats bad and need a good deoderant for this summer. I used secret clinical last year and it worked vid left a lot of white marks. Anyone have a good deoderant that stops the sweat and doesn’t leave too much of a stain behind?

Were the girls only given new names if they were stolen? I originally thought maybe they gave new names to be more biblical, but Hannah is in the Bible and Agnes is not. Shunnamite is very biblical, but Penny is not. Is there a system for these names? Or does it just depend?
