Where to donate house plants?

Hi All, I need to downsize my plant collection because I am moving away and they won't fit on the plane :(. I've take great care of them, repotted, trimmed, water, fertilized, cheered them on. I have 7 peace lilies (some huge, some small), and 1 poinsettia. Does anyone know of a non profit place that would like a donation and would take care of them? Thank you!!!

Places to donate house plants?

I'm in Miami and moving to New York. I have 7 peace lily's, and poinsettia that I cannot take with me. I'd love to donate them to a nonprofit somewhere that will take good care of them and brighten up a space. Does anyone have any suggestions of place drivable from Miami?

Moldco rejected me!

I just filled out there online questionnaire and was so excited to get continuing care, as my NP I work with changed practices. And they said I wasn't a fit. I think it's because I entered too many other conditions. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there any recourse? Thank you!

Is "sipping water slowly all day" strictly required? (Struggling with ADHD and bolus drinking)

I'm working on expanding my blood volume / helping vasoconstriction with salt and water (aiming for 3-5g sodium, 2-3L water).

Every guide and doctor says the key is to "sip water slowly and evenly throughout the day." My ADHD brain is very bad at this. I forget to drink if am not at a meal or dying of thirst. I lose my water bottle once a week.

Instead, I end up with this pattern: breakfast with pills: .75L, ."empty stomach pills" a few hours later .5L, dinner and pills .75L , before bed, maybe .25L. I'll also drink water throughout the day when thirsty.

When I take in these large amounts of fluid at once, I end up urinating frequently (sometimes every 30 minutes), which makes me think that body is just dumping the water right back out instead of retaining it.

  • Is slow, even pacing strictly required for fluid retention/blood volume expansion, or is there a way to make bolus drinking actually work?
  • For those with ADHD/executive dysfunction: How do you practically manage hydration pacing without constantly forgetting?

Legs up the wall?

Hi all, yesterday I started putting my legs up the wall to relax/reset after standing too long, a shower, and exercise. I lie down on the floor/couch/bed and scooch my butt as close to the wall as possible and then put my legs straight up and stay there for ten minutes. I did it three times, and I slept soooo much better than usual. I think my body finally left fight/flight. Does anyone else do this? Did you have similar results?

Does anyone also have endometriosis and has been through IVF cycles?

I have MCAS, leaky gut, POTS and stage 4 endo. I'm doing my 9th round of IVF soon. The previous rounds were before these diagnoses, though I'm certain I had these conditions. I'm now treating it all with diet, lifestyle, supplements and salt plus a few medications (metformin, prednisone, plaquenil). Has anyone with MCAS through IVF? Any advice? Thanks!

Which NY offices have labs that do these things?

I'm doing one last round of IVF in New York City. We've talked Center for Rejuvinating Fertility, New Hope and Center for Human Reproduction. I'm am scheduled with CCRM and CNY as well.

I want all the bells and whistles in lab:

  1. Zymot
  2. PICSI
  3. Calcium Ionophore
  4. EmbryoScope
  5. Test embryos that arrest for “why”

Have any of you had experience with these offices and know they will do these things?

Thanks!

Cromolyn Sodium is not available?

Hi all, just checking to make sure this is not just a CVS thing. I can't seem to find Cromolyn Sodium at any of their locations nationwide. I'm assuming this is impacting all pharmacies? Has anyone been able to get it lately? Thanks!

Pelvic congestion syndrome?

I'm curious to know how many of you have been checked for pelvic congestion syndrome? I've read that it shows up often with POTS and can cause POTS and that is also shows up with Endometriosis often. I'm seeing my PCP soon and crossing my fingers she will give me a referral to an Interventional Radiologist.

Abdominal compression options

I've been using an old abdominal binder I kept from a surgery last year. It like a giant velcro pad that I wrap around my waist. I do better on days that I wear it. I'm considering upgrading to something that I can wash and also doesn't look like hospital wear, and I can put below clothing.

I'm looking at brands that specialize in compression garments that one would wear after plastic surgery. Has anyone every worn something like this for POTS? Did it help? Thanks in advance for your thoughts! https://cysm.com/products/462?_pos=2&_sid=3952f9fd9&_ss=r
