hi hi! what would be the old english word for dragon?

for context i'm thinking of making a homebrew monster for D&D that would essentially be a dragon infected with the curse of lycanthropy and I need a proper name for it. I know "werewolf" essentially means "man wolf" and I think the "were" bit is old english? (please correct me if I'm wrong). so by that logic I want this thing to be called a (dragon in old english)wolf. from my very cursory knowledge I think the term I'm looking for is "wyrm" but I might be misremembering because that word is already used as a term for stuff related to dragons in official D&D like a baby dragon being called a wyrmling and the oldest, almost godlike dragons being refered to as greatwyrms. thanks for any help! ^_^ <3

Is there any way to get expertise in a skill other than taking a feat or levels in a class that gets it?

I'm playing a changeling order of the scribe wizard/warlock in a 5.5e/5e hybrid campaign. we're currently level 5 so my character is currently lvl3 wizard/lvl2 warlock. I'm planning on taking one more level of warlock for the archfey patron subclass but after that I was just gonna go all wizard but i've been thinking of maybe also taking a single level or rogue to get expertise in deception and persuasion but I don't wanna miss out on 9th level spells. I'm also already planning on taking the metamagic adept, durable, and resilient feats which would leave me only able to take get one of thos skills via the skill expert feat by level 20. this game is allowing any official content from both 5e and 5.5e as well as critical role content.

I need a girl's name with a similar vibe to the name Maisie

full disclosure this is for a D&D character concept. the basic rundown is that they'd be a pair of essentially human-scale living dolls named after the favorite toys of their creator's deceased daughter. I don't really just want like a name that rhymes with Maisie but rather like something that feels like it matches if that makes sense.

Is there any way I could put my button pins on this bag without making permanent holes in the leather?

Is there a way to increase my character's spell attack bonus and your spell save DC?

To spare the details, basically I'm playing in a game set in Exandria (Critical Role setting) and all of our characters found out we're each carrying a custom Vestige of Divergence. Among other things, mine gives a +1 to my spell attack bonus and your spell save DC. I can't figure out how to either manually add that to my character sheet and I'm not familiar enough with making homebrew items to do it that way. Can anyone help me out?

(stats for the item below)

The Margins Spellbook (Dormant State): The book acts as a fully functional spellbook, but it is currently observing the player, subtly altering the perimeter of their magic.

Arcane Focus: While holding the book, you gain a +1 bonus to spell attack rolls and your spell save DC.

The Living Margin: You can use the book as a reaction when you are targeted by an attack or a spell that requires a sight-line. The text on the page flares, creating a micro-distortion at the edge of your space. You gain a +2 bonus to AC or your saving throw against that specific trigger, as you briefly slide an inch into the unwritten space of reality. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus per long rest.

Footnote Lore: Once per long rest, when you fail a Intelligence (Arcana) or Intelligence (History) check, the crawling text in the margins rapidly flips pages to reveal a forgotten annotation. You can reroll the check with advantage.

The thing where you get a code for the student discount says it's supposed to be 20% off, but no matter what I apply it to hor how many new discount codes I generate it always comes out to just 15%. A couple weeks ago it worked fine whenever I tried it. What's going on?

Any way to get rid of this text without ruining the boots?

I really really love the look of of the Wednesday collab 1460s and they'd suit my style perfectly, but I'm hesitant to buy them because I HATE wearing almost anything with visible text on it. And frankly I'm not a Wednesday fan and this text in particular is super cringe worthy in my opinion. Does anyone know if there's any way to cover up or remove it without being too noticeable or damaging the boots?
