Had to bring the vision Team Bruce + Buhrito had in their walkup to life

I noticed Buhrito was aiming to reference the iconic LeBron and Dwade photo in the walkup, so I had to bring his vision to life!

(I may edit this image further to replace the Bucks players with Safetyman/Foolish, and change the advertisements, Basketball to Pokeball, etc., just very crunched on time rn)

What format to start with in tournament play?

I've been looking into playing in Smogon tournaments and hopefully winning a custom avatar ever since I had a strong performance in a mutual's Gen 4 Subscriber Randbats tournament earlier this month, getting 3rd out of 17 players with a 4-2 record (I would have gotten first or second if the only user I lost to, who ended up winning the whole thing got disqualified earlier because it wasn't until right after the final match that the TO's realized he wasn't subbed and therefore shouldn't have been able to enter).

However, I am not sure what formats to start with. I'm mainly looking for a format that's big enough to hold a tournament, but not too big where the odds of winning become incredibly unrealistic. Any suggestions for places to start? I have more experience with random battles (peaked at top 500 in Gen 9 Randbats, have made top 500 in a few other more niche formats like Random Battle Mayhem and Gen 4 Randbats once), and I am also fine with teambuilding formats. I've also never done a draft, but another mutual got me interested in the idea.

What's up with all these NYC youth meetup events being advertised on Instagram?

For some reason, I have been getting a lot of posts on my Instagram Explore page of youth-targeted meetup events using AI-generated posters to advertise said events, mainly from accounts such as:

While I am currently located in NYC, I am certainly not the target audience for these events, nor is anyone else from my specific neighborhood. While I can understand some things (such as machine learning processes being the reason all these posters follow the same design structure), I'm more so curious, do these events actually happen, and are they popular? What about safety concerns?

Which Battle Theme do you associate the most with Pokemon Showdown?

As many of you know, Pokemon Showdown uses various tracks from the game series, mostly trainer or rival battle music from gens 4-7, as background music for battles hosted on the website. However, out of all of the tracks that can be played during Showdown battles, which one do you associate the most with Showdown over its appearance in the main series games?

For me, it would be Hau’s battle theme (Sun/Moon). It’s probably because I haven’t played the Gen 7 games as recently as games within Gens 4, 5, and 6, so I hear it less often (it also appears less frequently within the games compared to the standard Gen 7 trainer battle theme, which is also in the pool of Showdown battle tracks).

I’m curious, though, what track from the main series is the most “Pokemon Showdown” to you?
