Woman finds radioactive object at a Maryland beach

EDIT: This happened in Delaware NOT Maryland. I can’t change the title without deleting the entire post.

Broadkill Beach Hazmat Incident Follow Up in Delaware.

We had the opportunity to chat with the lady who found the strange metal object today on Broadkill Beach. At first she had no idea what it was, so she picked it up and cleaned it off to get a better look.

Once it was clean, she used her phone to zoom in on some writing stamped into the object. It read, "Radioactive Poison Inside - Discard by Burial US Radium Corp."

Understandably, she became concerned and called emergency services to respond to the scene.

We are attaching photos she took before she realized what she was holding.

Little Boy in the pit at Tijuana, CNMI

Typo on the title. Should be Tinian.

The “Little Boy” atomic bomb in its pit on Tinian and being loaded into the bomb bay of B-29 “Enola Gay” - August 5, 1945

The fission reaction was accomplished by shooting a hollow cylinder (the "bullet") onto a solid cylinder of the same material (the "target") by means of a propellant charge. Little Boy contained 64 kilograms of highly enriched uranium.

Sailors visiting the Main Street Bridge circa 1941

Pick these up on eBay about a year ago.

No other date given than 1941. Unknown photographer, my collection.
I believe the 2nd, 5th, and 6th photos are looking at the south bank. Enjoy.

1940’s Downtown Jacksonville

I’m thinking date is after 1941 but before the 1950’s.
Red Kodachrome. Color corrected photo is the first image, original is the next one.

My collection.

Part 2…

FYI This was in Northern ontario and listen to this. ( copy n paste from a friend but still.)

Apparently they had cut off from the train but went back to rescue a foreman.

They couldn’t see their own train in the smoke and flames and they crashed into it so hard it shut the engines down.

They tried to get out by hi rail but the truck caught on fire and then they ran 3 miles on foot down the track

This is a train engulfed in flames outside Armstrong, Ontario. The crew made it out safely!

Edit 1: Lot of misconceptions.
The guys on the train were a rescue crew that was sent to grab a parked out of hours train. When they got on there was no fire. They were told they had to wait for a couple more trains as the train was in a long siding and the Allenwater Sub is full of small sidings.

While waiting the fire moved in. At the time of the video they were waiting for the last train which was running right behind the 2nd last train.
The engineer on the camera train asked the engineer on the incoming train if they got the light out the other end of the main so they could figure out if he was going to get going faster.

All crews are safe and these were the last 2 trains through the area.

Where can I buy the Olive Garden Alfredo sauce?

I love the Olive Garden Alfredo sauce. I usually order four boats a week just to drink it.

EDIT 1: I’m looking to buy it in bulk; maybe at least 8 gallons of it.
