Anyone who uses Varo as their main checking, how’s it been?

I’ve had a Varo account for a few years now but I never really used them as my main bank despite the fact they were one of if not the first fintech to become their own bank. I recently started trying to find another checking account and I’m curious if Varo is worth it as your main checking. How’s your experience been? I’m more so focused on hearing about the everyday banking experience

How to venture out more?

I’ve had my license for a few years now but I didn’t have a car for most of this time so I would only drive occasionally. An opportunity to get my own car recently presented itself so I now have a vehicle of my own but I’m nervous going places that I’ve never been to or places that aren’t in my immediate area.

I’m sure this is just in my head because if I go a couple months without driving I’ll feel the exact same way about driving in general after a while of not driving. But once I do hit the road I usually realize that it’s not that bad and that I’m able to get to my destination just fine. Unfortunately it’s a little different in this situation because I’m not driving somewhere that I know so I don’t get into that sense of comfortability.

How can I get out of my head and start driving more? I’d really love to branch out more and eventually go on road trips but every time I try to plan a drive to somewhere I’ve never been I always end up backing out. It’s like I’m scared of failing or making a mistake since making a mistake in a vehicle can be very dangerous so I get in my own head. Any tips?

Any advice for a Dodge Journey owner?

I just got my first car, got my parents old car which is a Dodge Journey with about 120k miles. I have no experience with cars but I did buy an OBD2 reader and for the most part everything seems fine, I only got one code read and it was something small. I know the car had been maintained when it comes to oil changes and stuff like that my parents never let it sit with any issues, runs well enough I suppose although I don’t have much to compare it to. I’m just wondering if there’s anything I should know ahead of time about this particular car, things to watch out for, etc. 2014 Dodge Journey.

Hello, this is my first year where i have to pay a bit of taxes, I don’t owe too much but I owe a little more than i’d be able to pay at once so when i filed i also applied for a pre-assessed payment plan which is still pending and my balance isn’t reflecting what I owe. Yesterday made 21 days which was the estimate, what should I do? do i just start paying before the payment plan is approved and when im done paying forget about it? or should I wait until it post to my account and my payment plan is accepted to start paying. I don’t owe too much just more than i’d pay at one time, I was looking to knock it out the way relatively quickly and not take up the entire 6 months so i’m just curious whether i start paying or wait. Is this type of delay normal?
