I was wondering if there’s a way to show a dashboard in full screen mode on iOS, thus hiding any visible navigation bars (the huge white bar in the top of the screen in my case)? I have “hide status bar” activated already.
I’m aware of other apps like fully kiosk, wondering if the native functionality can do this (yet).

Ik had een jurk gevonden die ik echt prachtig vindt, qua kleur en look, maar deze webshop zit in China en volgens trustpilot niet betrouwbaar. Best wel balen, vooral omdat ik heb gezocht naar vergelijkbare jurken maar heel moeilijk wat kan vinden. Misschien kunnen jullie helpen? Ik heb gezocht bij wehkamp, Zaandam, H&M. Heb ook een onbekendere webshop gevonden genaamd the-twosisters met wel mooie jurken, maar ik zoek wat meer suggesties van betrouwbare shops.

Wat ik mooi vind aan de jurk:
- de kleur (roest/baksteen rood/terracotta), want de shoot zal in het bos zijn met dus veel groen
- de v-hals, dit is voor mij een must, staat het mooist vind ik
- de knoopjes aan de onderkant, vind ik erg mooi. Is geen harde eis denk ik, want ik kan dit gewoon bijna niet vinden bij andere jurken
- lengte van de jurk en mouwen
- stijl is een beetje boho denk ik?
Hebben jullie suggesties voor soortgelijke jurken? Hoeft niet aan al mijn eisen te voldoen hoor, ik ben ook gewoon op zoek naar suggesties voor winkels waar ik jurken voor zwangerschapsshoots kan vinden. Alvast bedankt! 💕

I already posted this bit in a report I did of a recent post, but thought it might be good to give it its own post for visibility and polling what the community here thinks about this.
There has been a serious influx of people posting vibe coded apps/content for home assistant. That’s fine on it’s own (debatable, but some people don’t mind), but it’s not okay to not disclose this, in my opinion. Vibe coded things are often created by people who do not have a background in development and have no understanding of security. The r/selfhosted subreddit tackles this a bit by requiring the user to reply a mod comment and explain how AI was used in creating this post. Maybe this sub could do something similar, to sort of enforce people to at least disclose whether or not AI was used, and preferably also how it was used. It’s not perfect, but everywhere I’ve seen vibe coded stuff posted, people voice that the creator is often not transparent about this, which indicates to me that people would like this transparency.

Ik heb een grote tuin die bestaat uit zowel gepland groen als wild groen, en dat vinden we prima. Het enige vervelende is dat we rondom en binnen een stuk van het perceel, waar onze kippen scharrelen, stukken hebben waar brandnetel behoorlijk is gaan woekeren. Een beetje brandnetel is niet erg, maar we kunnen er niet meer lopen nu. Ik wil het graag verwijderen en indien mogelijk iets anders in de plek doen, iets wat voorkomt dat er weer brandnetel terug komt. Er zat ooit gras, maar de kippen verwoesten dit natuurlijk. Iemand suggesties voor wat ik hier kan plaatsen/strooien, wat een beetje kipbestendig is? Of zit er niks anders op dan elke brandnetel met wortel uit de grond trekken een voor een? Het gaat om een vierkante meter of 40 inmiddels.

Ter voorbereiding ben ik aan het nadenken over het in huis halen van een box.
De traditionele box kennen we allemaal, maar neemt veel ruimte in en is meestal niet gemakkelijk verplaatsbaar, en iets met wieltjes is in ons huis niet praktisch te verplaatsen tussen de ruimtes waar ik dat zou willen (woonkamer en kantoor). Daarnaast leest ik dat wanneer een baby gat bewegen, de traditionele boxen al snel te klein worden.
Een grondbox lijkt mij best wel mooi. Gemakkelijk inklapbaar en ook mee te nemen naar een ander huis indien nodig. De grotere afmeting is in dit laatste geval misschien minder handig, maar daar kunnen we wel ruim bij inzitten lijkt me.
Ik weet dat het van je kindje afhangt uiteindelijk, sommigen vinden een box überhaupt niks, maar het lijkt mij handig voor momenten dat ik even weg moet lopen of aan het koken ben. Wat raden de ouders hier aan?
Iets van een wipstoel kan vast ook, maar ik wil toch een plek hebben waar mijn baby straks veilig en schoon kan rondkruipen (we hebben langharige katten, dus haar is een uitdaging) en bewegen. Als een box niet zou bevallen, dan kan ik altijd nog een wipstoeltje oid aanschaffen, maar voor nu zoek ik echt advies over een box. Geen advies dus om een wipstoeltje oid te kopen of het kind los in de kamer te laten 😅

I’m in the market for an upgrade from our Roborock S6. The new Saros models look nice and impressive, and for ease of use I’d like one that allows to be connected to the plumbing. One thing I’m semi-worried about is if I buy a dock that can directly be connected to the plumbing, if I ever decide to use it without plumbing, is that possible? It seems to be missing any water tanks obviously. What I’m basically getting at here is if it might be a better option to buy the regular version with some kind of plumbing kit, if they exist.
Another reason for this question is I’m in Europe and having trouble finding the plumbing models here, specifically the Saros 20. I did find the Saros Z70 plumbing version for €1.249, which doesn’t seem too bad a price? (ETA: nevermind, just saw the regular model is €749 lol).
I’m not interested in the arm, but it does ofcourse have most features the 20 does so I’d be alright with that.

ETA: I realized that €749 for the saros z70 is pretty cheap. It’s without plumbing though. Is it worth it to get this model for the price, even though I don’t care for the robot arm? It seems to have less bij capacity than the 20, but does that matter if it’s self-emptying anyway? Or is the 10R a good choice? Cheaper than the 20 with a price of around €850.
Extra info about our house: around 150m2 area to be cleaned, 3 cats (2 longhaired), hardwood floors with a few rugs and litterbox, would need to climb a sliding door threshold of around 2-3 cm which the S6 has trouble with 95% of the time.

Hi all, currently deciding on which stroller to get for our September baby. We enjoy walking outside (in foresty areas) and would like to take baby for walks in the stroller. I'm in Europe (Netherlands), so preferably strollers that I can actually buy here haha. Would like to hear your recommendations and experiences with specific strollers and brands.
We went to a store and tested a few strollers (a 'house brand' one called Dubatti and Thule stroller). We were very positive about the Dubatti (Two E2 if anyone's familar), but what is sort of holding me back is that there are not a lot of reviews on this specific model yet and that it doesn't have air tires but rubber. The Thule stroller felt great, maybe a tiny bit better in terms of how smooth it rolled, but comparing in details was difficult with the limited time we had. The reason we liked the Dubatti stroller better is due to one-handed handling of the stroller and folding mechanism, this was much better than with the Thule.
Anyway, spill your recommendations and experiences please 😁 I am 5'11" so height is important to me, besides all-terrain compatibility. Would make it a bit easier to look for and test specific strollers. We have a large car and large budget, so neither is really a restraint, although I'd like to budget for around €1.500,-.
Not looking for advice that tells me that you don't like strollers for all-terrain walks and to get a baby carrier instead 😬 we will probably also get a baby carrier, but just really looking for recommendations on strollers here.
Dag allemaal, in september verwachten wij ons eerste kindje en vandaag zijn we even wezen testrijden bij Babypark. We hebben daar een Thule Urban Glide 4 in handen gehad, evenals de Dubatti Two E2 waar de medewerkster mee aan kwam. We willen een all-terrain wagentje namelijk, aangezien we achteraf wonen, en deze 2 modellen leken daar specifiek voor gemaakt te zijn qua wielen en demping.
De Thule reed erg prettig en was fijn qua hoogte, ik heb relatief lange benen namelijk en bij de kinderwagen van een vriendin ervaarde ik regelmatig dat ik dus tegen de wagen aan trapte. Een nadeel vond ik dat veel handelingen met 2 handen moesten, zoals het uithalen van de reiswieg.
Daarna de Dubatti getest en ik was onder de indruk van eigenlijk alles, een hele fijne wagen volgens mij, veel handelingen kunnen met 1 hand en dat het onderstel na inklappen rechtop blijft staan vond mijn man wel mooi. Gewoon wat extra luxe handigheidjes t.o.v. de Thule die ik wel prettig vind: grotere open mand onderin voor boodschappen, conpartimentje in de wieg voor sleutels/telefoon/etc. De personalisatie qua kleuren is ook leuk meegenomen, maar niet belangrijk voor ons. Ons idee is dus deze wagen, samen met de autostoel adapters zodat er een maxi-cosi pebble op kan.
Ik heb even online gezocht en vond dus dat de voorgaande modellen van deze wagen wel problemen hadden, maar over de E2 kan ik niet super veel vinden. Heb wel iets op 24Baby forum gezien en dat was eigenlijk alleen maar positief, maar ben toch benieuwd naar meer ervaringen. Ik las ook dat iemand Dubatti een duur huismerk vond, maar verder geen ervaring met dit specifieke model. Zijn er hier mensen die deze kinderwagen hebben? Hoe ervaren jullie de wieg en het stoeltje voor oudere kinderen?
En nog een bonus vraag… weet iemand hoe ik gemakkelijk iets van aanbiedingen in de gaten kan houden voor kinderwagen en autostoeltje? 😂 ik mis een beetje iets van een tweakers voor baby spullen. Heb het babystoeltje kunnen vinden op Knibble, maar ik heb weinig ervaring met die site. Voor de kinderwagen zal ik maar abonneren op de babypark nieuwsbrief ofzo denk ik.

Just a change of tone, because I see a lot of negative posts about pregnancy. Not to discredit those with more challenging pregnancies obviously, but I’d like to share my experience, also for those who may not be pregnant yet but are browsing this sub.
Before getting pregnant I was actually pretty worried, because I’ve read so many things that could go bad. It even made me question whether or not I wanted to live in discomfort for 9 months and potentially “destroy” my body for a child. Finally decided to go through with it and 8 months later I got pregnant. I’m 22 weeks now and it’s been an absolute breeze. I didn’t even know I was pregnant the first 8 weeks, because I was mentally kind of exhausted by the ovulation tests and whatnot, so I wasn’t doing any of those things. My cycles were very irregular so it wasn’t until around the 8 week mark that I thought… hmm, this is a very long cycle. So bought a pregnancy test and voila.
I definitely feel lucky that I didn’t experience any nausea, morning sickness etc, but I think it’s funny that the view we have of becoming pregnant, and how it’s portrayed in media, can be so different from real life. After finding out I did have a bout of fatigue for about a week or 2 during the first trimester where I felt more tired and slept longer, but that was pretty short lived and I felt great overall.
Now in my second trimester, which is usually said to be the easiest anyway, and I’m still feeling the same as before pregnancy! My bump is growing and feeling heavier for sure, and the movements 💕but other than that I wouldn’t be able to tell I’m pregnant.
I hope this continues on until the end, but so far it has definitely made me more confident in feeling I can do this, and I feel less afraid of labor than I did before. I know that this means nothing for how labor and the birth could go, but I definitely feel strong enough to do it. I live in a country where homebirths are standard practice, and although I could opt for the epidural and hospital birth, right now I feel confident enough to go with the homebirth.
I hope my experience maybe helps some people not be afraid of pregnancy. It can go a lot of different ways of course, but I think online we more often get to read the stories from people that need support (which is okay of course!) than the people who aren’t having any issues at all.
Wish you all a wonderful pregnancy and birth, and hugs and love for those experiencing more challenging times. I think it’s wonderful that these communities exist to support each other 💛

I run a small business from home and am using Microsoft 365 for storing my files, but the longer my business is going, the more data I’ve accumulated that I do not want to lose, thus looking for a backup solution. This would be for my sharepoint files as well as e-mail backup.
Next to that I’d like to backup some security camera footage of a few Reolink cameras we have around the property, with a retention of a few days, max 1 month. The latter is not the most important for me though.
Since it is home office, there is an option to use it for home purposes. A backup of our iCloud Photos would be really nice to have, in case there are out-of-the-box options for this. In the past I’ve had a QNAP nas, but backing up photos from my phone was awful. The app wasn’t great, and had to be kept active while uploads were going on. Would be a nice bonus to have.
Any recommendations? I’d like to have some expandability and a raid configuration options for the business data, so the data is at least one two of the drives. Thinking a minimum of 4 drives. Any models that are restricted to the synology branded drives are a no go.
