Scheduled for hernia surgery in early November

Welp, I was told my umbilicial hernia needs surgery, so here I am wandering into this subreddit. It's going to be the robotic type of repair. Not looking for medical advice, mainly curious about other people's experiences. I'm a fairly competitive runner and do a lot of cure and strength training. Are there other runners that had to have umbilical hernia repair, robotic particularly, and what was your personal experience in how long it was before you were able to resume running? TIA!

Did anyone else notice Jessica Vosk changed Lute's voice in season 2?

I don't know how I didn't notice this earlier like how I noticed the dark circles under her eyes, but did anyone else notice that Jessica Vosk uses a much... Hoarser... Sounding speaking voice for Lute than she did in season 1, when Lute didn't have the hoarseness and dark circles? Taking a moment to appreciate the sheer subtlety in the voice acting- I suspect the hoarseness is definitely from either sleep deprivation (tracks with the dark circles) or all of the yelling in rage in Adam's office. Or both?

How does the LARP you attend handle unregistered players?

I attend three LARPs. Two of the three that I attend make pre-registration mandatory, and anyone that is unregistered is not permitted to play. (They may be permitted to NPC)

The third? I did an NPC game last game, and there was an issue in which people were just showing up willy-nilly all weekend. Some of them did not even have characters on file yet AND showed up mid-game , which meant that one of the already very scant number of NPCs had to take time away from assisting with carrying out plots to handle the unannounced mid-game new player situation. Some of the powers that be evidently feel it's mean and unfair to not let people that took the effort to drive to the site play their characters, and they feel not allowing unregistered newbies without characters on file to just show up midgame will discourage participation. However, it proved a tremendous detriment to the game, as the already understaffed cast was disrupted from running plots dealing with the newbies, they lost access to the computer while the newbies' temporary sheets were made, and based on post-event feedback the players definitely felt we had some very slow periods.

How does your game handle it? I submitted feedback about how disruptive it is to permit people to show up unregistered midgame, especially when they do not have characters on file, with three possible solutions (a late fee, requiring that they NPC, or the nuclear option of not allowing attendance at all) but I am curious about other possible alternatives to offer up as well.

Thanks in advance!

Nala apparently belongs here

I shared her being a cuddlebug in the tortico sub and more than one person told me she needs to be posted here also
