[New Jersey] Inherited Roth IRA - Can I move it to an account at another institution before I receive access to 100% of the funds?

I inherited a Roth IRA from my great aunt late last year. My family completed the initial paperwork to get the ball rolling with New Jersey inheritance tax matter. I then received access to 50% of the funds in the Roth IRA. The problem is, it's located at Ameriprise, which has very high account management fees. I'd like to move the funds via trustee-to-trustee transfer to a "new" inherited Roth IRA at Vanguard, which I use for my personal Roth IRA, both to get out of the fees and to have more control over what investments my money goes into. I'd also like to be able to withdraw a portion of the current funds, which I can't do without calling Ameriprise.

What I'm not sure about is, could I transfer these funds to a different institution before I get formal access to the other half of my money? We're currently waiting on the O-1 form from NJ after the tax stuff is complete. I estimate this won't happen until, at earliest, a full year from now.

[New Gear] R10 with 100-400mm and 50mm f/1.8 STM

Got an R10 off Marketplace that came with the kit 18-45mm and a Sigma 24-105mm f/4 ART. Decided to sell the Sigma since, although it took great photos, it was awkwardly heavy and only zoomed out to 24mm (38mm FF equivalent). In lieu of it, I picked up the 50/1.8 and 100-400mm lenses, both from Canon refurbished.

Cat tax at the end.

Waterfall, plane, and cat were with the 50mm, all others with the 100-400.

Accident that should've happened

(No sound) Got lucky that the center median was clear and the blue car turning in front of me stopped in time. I was going the speed limit (40 mph) before the incident. The white car turning in the right lane created a blind spot for both parties.

I'll probably get flamed here for swerving, but I'm just glad this wasn't an accident. I likely would have hit the blue car had I stayed in my lane, even if I further slammed on the brakes.

55 minute layover in PHL with gate checked carry-on

Got a flight next week that has a 55 minute layover in PHL. The incoming flight is on a CRJ (PSA) and the connecting flight on an ERJ (Piedmont). So, in theory, both should route through Terminal F. With a gate checked bag, is this a reasonable connection time? Or would it be more beneficial to check the bag all the way through? I’ve never had to gate check anything before as this’ll be my first time flying with a carry-on suitcase on a smaller plane.

Red Subaru Lady

I’ve seen posts about her on here before. I’ve seen her on the road a couple times. What I saw today seemed especially dangerous.

Spotted her merging onto I-90E from exit 4 a little after 4pm. She’d speed up to ~50 mph and then slam on the brakes to 30 mph. All the way down the on ramp and onto the highway. A car behind her put their flashers on before they could safely pass. Then she proceeded to get in the middle lane and do the same to anybody that got even remotely close to the back of her car. I passed her and it looked like she was flipping off the rear view mirror. She’s going to cause a bad accident one of these days, especially if she keeps getting on the highway.

I instantly knew who this was when I saw the red Outback and the first brake check. Kept a large following distance after that until I could pass. Thank you Reddit for saving me from a potential rear ending.

Wildlife/nature photography - which setup is best for me?

(1) Budget, country, and currency: USA, $2,000 USD before tax and shipping

(2) What equipment, if any, you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs? Nikon D5100 with 18-55mm and 55-200mm lenses. 200mm isn't long enough for what I'd like to take more photos of and has meh AF, the 5100's performance is rough from ISO 1600 and above and overall behind the times of current cameras.

(3) What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot? Most frequently wildlife (large animals, birds), nature (landscapes, flowers), and aviation (planes, helicopters). Occasionally architecture / stuff I see walking on a street, pets, and an odd portrait or two. I'm a hobbyist, none of this is intended to be paid work.

(4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both? Photography 98% of the time.

A few options I'm considering:

  1. Canon R10 or R7 with the 100-400mm lens to start. Pros: Mirrorless, lots of lens upgrade opportunity, excellent reviews from people that take photos of what I want to take photos of. Con: Exceeds budget if buying the R7 and buying new.

  2. Nikon Z50 II with 16-50 and 50-250mm lenses to start. Pros: Mirrorless, well within budget. Cons: Fewer lens upgrade paths for Nikon Z DX, 180-600mm lens is $2k by itself and would need to delay purchase of this.

  3. Used Nikon D7500 or D5600 with the 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 and maybe Tamron 150-600mm G2. Pros: Well within budget, stay in Nikon system, 18-300 lens covers everything but small birds. Cons: Older system, these lenses have their respective drawbacks, not worthwhile to upgrade without going mirrorless.

  4. If none of the above, what would you suggest?

Things I care about: Good image stabilization, decent performance to at least ISO 6400, long zoom, having something that could reasonably last 5-10 years given my average shooting habits (expecting ~5k shutter clicks a year).

Things I don't care as much about: Buying brand new, switching from Nikon to another brand, megapixels, kit zoom lenses like 18-55mm (may still get one to start since they're so cheap, but wouldn't be of primary use).

The Canon R7/10 is my top choice. Leaning towards R10 to start and could sell/upgrade to R7 if I wanted. The R7 looks excellent but may be more than I need right now, and the extra cash could be thrown at a 10-18mm or a prime lens.

Original and 1280px shown. Not sure how apparent differences will be with Reddit compression, but here we go. (Edit, Reddit butchered them both.) Looking for feedback on any issues, but concerned about resolution since my max upload size is 1280px.

The original is a 16MP RAW, slightly cropped, slightly edited for sharpness.

The 1280px looks rough to me (soft due to lower res, slight loss of color quality). Am I saving the downscaled version wrong? I saved it using my Mac's export option from the photos app, JPG max quality, max width to 1280px.
