Thinking of buying AFE2: How's the grind and the community for a WWZ veteran?
Hey guys!
I’m seriously considering jumping into Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, and I wanted to get some honest feedback from the active community.
To give you some background, I’m a huge fan of third-person horde shooters—I’ve put well over 100 hours into World War Z, so I really love this genre and class-based teamplay.
I have a few questions before pulling the trigger:
How is the endgame grind? I love games that give you a good reason to keep playing for a long time. Is there a solid progression loop, weapon leveling, perks, or cosmetics to unlock that will keep me hooked?
How is the niche community? I know the player count isn't massive, but honestly, I prefer it that way. In huge mainstream games, it’s impossible to make real friends or find people who actually want to communicate and play seriously as a team. Is it easy to find a dedicated group of players here, make friends, and build a reliable squad for the harder difficulties?
How is the game running after the latest big patch? I heard a major update just dropped to fix performance and optimization. For those playing right now, does the game feel smooth and stable?
I’m based in Europe and I’ll be playing with crossplay on. If you guys have any active Discord recommendations or just want to share your experience, please let me know.
Thanks in advance, looking forward to hunting some Xenos with you!
A sincere appeal to veteran players: Hording loot is killing the co-op experience and your own survival
Hey everyone,
I’ve been playing a ton of No More Room in Hell 2 lately, and as someone who loves this game and wants to see this community grow, I need to get something off my chest.
We’ve all seen it. A match starts, and the players who know the map inside out sprint ahead. They know exactly where the best gear spawns. That’s fine, knowledge is power. What isn’t fine is when these same players vacuum up every single piece of ammo, medical supply, and utility item, refusing to share even when teammates actively ask for help.
Here is the hard truth: NMRiH2 is a co-op game. If you play it like a solo battle royale, you are ruining the experience for everyone else, and ironically, you are setting yourself up for failure.
Time and time again, I see the exact same pattern. One or two players horde all the resources, while the rest of the team is left struggling with low ammo or no healing items. Then a massive horde triggers, and the team gets swarmed.
And guess who are usually the first ones to drop and scream for a rescue beacon? The very same players who hoarded all the loot. In the heat of an extraction or a heavy siege, you won't have time to drop items or micro-manage inventory. If your team is weak, you will die with a backpack full of ammo you never got to shoot.
Sharing isn't just being nice, it is the literal meta of the game. A team where everyone has a decent weapon and a few magazines will always perform better than one super-soldier surrounded by five teammates throwing punches at the horde.
If we want this game to thrive, if we want new players to stay, and if we want to actually beat Nightmare difficulty consistently, we need to change this mindset.
Please, check your teammates' status. Drop that extra box of ammo. Pass that medkit. Survival is a team effort.
Thanks for reading, and see you in the zone.
Safe from zombies on vacation, but how is NMRIH2 running on Series X and PS5?
Hey everyone,
I'm currently on vacation and won't be able to download and play the game until I get back in about ten days. Since it just launched on consoles, I wanted to ask how it's actually running and how the launch is going so far.
I'm going to be playing on Xbox Series X and I've already heard some rumors about slight frame rate drops and weird aiming sensitivity. I'd love to know if those are major issues or if the game feels good overall. I'm also curious about matchmaking and player numbers, like if it's easy to find full lobbies right now.
On top of that, how does the game feel with a controller, and what do you think of the new 1.0 features like the survival mode or the new maps? Any useful info or early tips would be awesome. Thanks in advance, and if anyone else is still on vacation, enjoy your time off. To everyone else, have fun out there and I'll see you in-game when I get back.
Skirltarii
Hola👋
I have about 200 hours in the game and basically only play Veteran. I love the Veteran gameplay, but I'm on the fence about buying the Skitarii.
Is it worth it? What are the pros and cons compared to the Veteran?
Thanks

Reinstalling Hunt after a year away! Hello to this amazing community!
Hello everyone! I wanted to make this post to say a quick hello and reintroduce myself to this incredible community.
I used to play Hunt a lot, but I uninstalled it about a year ago. Tonight, I finally decided to hit download again—it’s quite a few gigabytes since the big engine upgrade, but I can't wait for it to finish!
I’ve been away for a while, but I heard the game received some massive improvements recently. Specifically, I know the inventory system got a major rework and it's much more intuitive now with the new equippable slots layout.
Since I’m jumping back into the Bayou blind tonight, I would love to hear from you guys:
How is the game running right now? Have there been major upgrades to the graphics and overall smoothness?
Have they added any new maps, bosses, or mechanics in the past year that I should know about?
Do you have any tips or advice for a returning Hunter?
Thank you so much in advance to everyone who leaves a comment or sends a message. I really appreciate the discussion and look forward to hearing your thoughts. See you in the Bayou!
P.S. Please forgive me if I got any of the terminology wrong or if some of these features were already in the game a year ago. I'm a bit confused after being away for so long!
Xbox Series X - Noticed improvements after today's patch, but the game still needs more depth (Feedback)
Hey everyone! I just jumped back into the game after today's patch on Xbox Series X, and I can definitely see some improvements. Props to the devs for that! However, I still feel like the game needs a few key additions to truly shine.
Here is what I think is currently missing:
Combat Variety & Mechanics: We need more attack variations and a dedicated parry system. Right now, characters feel too similar and need more diversification.
Progression System: The leveling process lacks incentive. There isn't much motivation or a real stimulus to keep grinding levels.
Combat Feeling & Impact: This is my main issue. Melee combat needs to feel way more impactful. Right now, it feels like weapons just slide through enemies instead of actually hitting them. It’s a shame because even if this isn't a pure fighting game, we are talking about Conquistadors vs. Zombies. Any sharp or blunt weapon should feel satisfying to use.
Interestingly, the gunplay feels great! Shooting an enemy gives a great sense of feedback with all the visual effects. I just wish melee had that same level of satisfaction. I understand the game has a budget price, but I really want to see this title reach its full potential. Does anyone know if the developers are planning to move in this direction, or is this the final vision for the game?
Thanks everyone for the discussion and for sharing your thoughts! If you have any other ideas or suggestions, let's upvote this post to get some visibility. Hopefully, we can get the devs' attention so they might consider working on the features we all want to see.
