During a grant supported trip to southern Greenland, I would make these long exposure photographs, and made this one of the moon rising. It's hard to see but there are star streaks in the sky. Can't wait to return...

During a grant supported fine art photography trip, I make night long-exposure photographs in and around southern Greenland, such as Igaliku.

The exposure is about 90 minutes; the strange red is from a flashing light in the distance; the green sky is from the Norther Lights. Made in southern Greenland.

In "Death Lends a Hand", Season 1, Episode 2, starring Ray Milland, we clearly see at least two Roy Lichtenstein's prints in the office behind Robert Culp.

The art is part of the Cathedral series created in 1969.

Since the prints in the show would have only been about a year or so old (1971, but filmed a bit earlier), it was quite progressive to include this in the show--or at least they found an office that (perhaps unknowingly) had an excellent art collection.

Anyway, I love art, and love Columbo almost equally.

These are from a month-long fine art photography project in Greenland, supported by grants from the American Scandinavian Foundation. I hope to return for a third time.
