Is my hospital bag packing list good or too long?

Here’s what I plan to pack. I’m a FTM so please let me know if anything is unnecessary! One thing I will say is I would 1000% rather bring something that’s a maybe and not use it than not bring it and regret (had that happen many times at the hospital) but open to your thoughts :)

Anyone set on names yet?

We just found out it’s a boy! I think we’re going with the name Ari John. Ari is a name I’ve always loved, John is a family name. Last name is 3 syllables. Baby is gonna be half white and half indian. I would love to hear if anyone else is already set on a name for their little one 🥰

Nervous about measurements

I went to Planned Parenthood to confirm my pregnancy and get an US which I had to do before getting an OB. I didn’t know their US equipment was limited, so when I went, I was able to see the baby and see the heart beat but they could not tell me the heart rate although they said it looks very normal. What I’m scared about is I thought I was 8 weeks but I measured 6 weeks and 4 days with a CRL of 0.73. I’m now even more nervous because I just read a comment on here saying you’re 4 weeks pregnant at a missed period which should mean I was 8 weeks along. I think my Flo is assuming a 28 day cycle

My cycles have not been the most regular during my life ranging from 27 days to 33 days, and I got pregnant immediately after coming off of hormonal birth control so because of that I’m not sure when I ovulated. I took a test that came back very positive on August 6th but I think I could have gotten a positive days before that.

Now I’m super worried my baby is not growing normally?

EDIT: I just read that coming off hormonal birth control can greatly delay ovulation far past the normal 14 day mark and I think that’s what happened, but I’m going to try and get a repeat US next week

Rant about today’s climate RE children

Does anyone else feel like they’re exposed to a ton of anti-children/anti-reproductive content?? I’m so sick of the crap I see EVERYWHERE shitting on *JUST WOMEN* who choose to have babies, it’s never about the dad. I see people saying that women are selfish to reproduce right now, that we live in a ‘hellscape’, and that it’s the worst time to be a woman and have kids which are all fundamentally untrue and such a weird anti-life message to spread. to be clear I am 100% in support of women being pro-choice, that’s not what this post is about, but I’m soooo sick of my literal friends sharing things that imply I’m an asshole for wanting a baby 😩

EDIT to add my location for funsies, I live in very progressive downtown Portland Oregon in college housing if that explains better why I’m constantly hearing this rhetoric. Frequently at PSU, there is a small group who come and try and convince the young kids that we should end the human race by everyone choosing to not reproduce!!

Craig Robinson and Steve Carell’s elite dynamic

No idea if this has been posted before, but I’m on my second watch thru and really noticing how well Steve and Craig work together and in every scene Steve looks like he can barely keep up his serious face whenever he works with Craig specifically. the Safety Training episode is a great example. I love it!

I’m in grad school and have a lab course with someone I’m pretty friendly with, we enjoy each other’s company when we’re in class. We’re both single but I’m pretty shy. There have been some subtleties I’ve noticed that make me think he may be interested in me, but lately he’s been quite friendly to me and I think he may be trying to be more bold about showing me he’s interested. We sit across from each other, and last week during lab I asked him to take a look at my microscope. The first time he did, his hand brushed mine, not in an accidental couple of seconds, a very purposeful push and he rested his hand there against mine until I needed to move it away. Then, the second two times I called him over, when he leaned down to look, he pressed the side of his body firmly into mine and kept it that way until he walked away. Our faces were super close too, closer than we’ve ever been. I’m thinking this was purposeful because I’ve seen him look at other people’s work and microscopes to take notes and he always stays very far away respectfully or asks them to scoot over. Does he seem interested? This is on top of other things like he always wears a really nice outfit when he knows I’ll be somewhere, constantly smiling at me vey purposefully and prolonged, catching my eye when we leave, joking around, etc. I’m so painfully shy but if he seems interested I want to ask for his number!
