How long do wasp alarm pheromones last?

Three days ago I was walking at a creek trail near my house and got stung on my leg by what I'm pretty sure was a yellowjacket (didn't get a good look). Then today I was finally brave enough to walk there again and got stung again on my leg about five inches away from the first sting. I was stung while walking in the same general area, so I figure there's a nest around there, and they're getting cranky cause it's fall, but is that the only reason why I got stung again? It's so near the first sting. And I've been walking at that trail practically every day for like a decade and I'd never been stung there until now.

Video about how to strengthen somatic boundaries

Damn, this was what I needed. I've only done the exercise twice and I already feel different. So simple yet so effective. Maybe it will help some of you too

Shampoo/conditioner recs for dense, fine, wavy, frizzy hair?

I've never been able to find a shampoo/conditioner that I feel really works for me because everything that's meant for smoothening/defrizz-ing is too heavy and goopy for my fine hair. Conditioner that's too goopy takes forever to wash out of my hair because it's so dense. I do have a tendency towards greasy hair more than dry hair, but if I use something more clarifying, the frizz gets worse, and my natural waves aren't as emphasized.

I don't have problems with volume since my hair is so dense, and I also don't really have a problem with breakage either, despite my fine hair.

So many birds at 1:30 am - mockingbird?

I am apparently hearing all these birds right now, according to Merlin app. Is it actually one mockingbird making all these sounds?

How can Type 9 be both disconnected from their body and also a gut type?

I understand the gut as being the seat of intuition and the body. All other types seem to operate fairly straightforwardly from their center of intelligence, but 9s are described as being out of touch with their body. And also intuition (because if you're a 9 you naturally dissociate from your own internal sense of what is true for you). How can 9s be gut-leading types if we don't have access to our guts?

Scared of getting a colonoscopy

At my annual checkup last fall, my doctor recommended a colonoscopy due to my family history (dad died of colon cancer at 55) and my symptoms (bloating and abdominal/pelvic pain). I know I should get it done, but I'm terrified of the prep.

I really struggle whenever I go even a little bit too long without eating - shakiness, lightheadedness, heart palpitations. I can't imagine what it would do to me to go a full 24 hrs. I also have acid reflux, which worsens my heart palpitations. I've heard that the stuff you have to drink can worsen acid reflux, and I've also heard of acid reflux getting worse for a while after the procedure as well.

I'm terrified of acid reflux + loss of electrolytes + anesthesia causing life-threatening heart palpitations or something like that. I've even heard of someone aspirating their vomit during the procedure and dying. I know this is highly unlikely, but I've had scary moments with heart palpitations before due to the combination of fasting + acid reflux. (yes, I've had my heart checked out)

Also, what if my insurance doesn't cover it? (I'm 34.)

I could use some encouragement. Thank you 🙏
