Paired Lightsaber Rules?

Howdy. Nothing big I want to ask here, just got curious while playing Jedi Survivor: Are there rules for Paired Lightsabers in this game?

Just to clarify in case anyone doesn't know, paired lightsabers are the fan term for when you have a twin pair of lightsabers that can be locked together at the pommels into a double-bladed lightsaber. If d6 doesn't have rules for them, how would you personally make them?

d6 Equivalent of Project Holocron?

Heya! I'm running a ttrpg of the ffg rpg, and a friend of mine showed be this app for the game: https://holocron.work/ which is like a general database and suite for running the game, it's really good. Well, that got me curious, is there an equivalent of this for the d6 rpg? Just curious is all.

Suggestions on where to get a physical copy?

Howdy folks, I recently got ahold of the ReUp pdf, and I was wondering if anyone knew of how to go about getting a physical copy printed for my personal use. As I understand it there are some websites that will print whatever pdfs you like as physical books, but I am worried whichever one I find will be quite cheap and not intended for use on such a large book.

How to get Field School Experience?

Hello. I am trying to get into some entry level positions in archaeology, but my college did not have a field school program when I was getting my education here in Tennessee, so I figured I should probably get some. Problem is, hence my looking for entry level positions, I do not have a lot of money, either to move somewhere with a field school program or for tuition, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a way I could get field school experience within my particular circumstances. Are there perhaps internships I could do, or could I volunteer somewhere? Apologies if this is rude in some way to ask.

Desperately Need Help Finding Work. Can anyone Help?

Hello. My name is Isaac. I graduated in may 2025 with a bachelor's in history and a minor in archaeology. Since then, I have been job hunting. I do not recall specifically how many applications I have sent, but I do know that since getting home from a trip to Minnesota to visit a friend on may 6th of this year, I have sent over 250 applications. Of all of those, maybe a half-dozen have given me interviews, and all but one ghosted me after. And the one that didn't ghost me was still a rejection. Just a week ago, I got a call from a company called System One wanting to hire me for an Archaeological Field Technician job, who said they would get back to me on Monday, and I haven't heard a thing from them even a week after. They came to me, and I still got ghosted.

I have spent the time since I graduated living on a dwindling inheritance from my grandmother, and now I have about 200 dollars to my name in total. I am, as I write this, working on setting up an Ebay account to sell some old ttrpg books I don't really play anymore, and tomorrow I am going to start working for instacart, and praying it is less of a scam in my area than doordash was. I have applied for my student loans to be switched to income-based rather than set, but if that doesn't go through then I'm just screwed come next month.

This should not be happening. I have a degree. I am, in fact, the first person in my family to ever hold a degree. I should not be scraping and struggling just to get by while they are doing fine. I should not be job hunting for over a year with nothing to show for it, while they job hunt for a week and land a living wage. At this point I'm not even looking for a job in my field, just anything I am not immediately disqualified from that isn't a scam and doesn't burn more gas than it can pay me to replace.

I guess I'm just asking: What am I doing wrong, and can I please get some personal help fixing it?

I cannot find work and I am scared about the future. Kruleboyz Gutrippaz.

I have about 300 dollars to my name, and my student loans are about 200 dollars a month, and groceries keep getting more expensive, and gas keeps getting more expensive, and I have no idea what I’m going to do. I have sent something like 500 applications in just the past month and a half, and have gotten maybe a dozen interviews, all of which were an hour and a half away and ghosted me after. I have a fucking degree. This shouldn’t be happening. I shouldn’t be living with my parents and only able to feed myself thanks to their leftovers. I shouldn’t be struggling this hard to find work, let alone GOOD work I can actually survive on. I shouldn’t be sitting here, typing out my despair because I can’t think of any other way to scream for help into the void that I haven’t already tried! I have a cat to feed. I’m worried about what will happen to her if I run out of money, as I will next month. I have a ghost tour company that is willing to hire me, but the place I’d be touring is an hour and a half away, and they don’t pay well, so I don’t think thats really going to be sustainable in the long term. A company called System One seemed willing to hire me for an archeological field technician job, but after saying that she’ll get back with me on monday, the lady that was helping me out with that seems to have vanished, and I’m worried that they ghosted me like all the others, despite the fact that they reached out to me. I’m fucking scared, and I don’t know how to make it stop.

Keuleboyz main models completed!

I’ve finished up the main models for my Kruleboyz Gutrippaz, having completed the shading, added in final details like eyes and teeth, based in Stirland Mud, and painted the rims in Steel Legion Drab. I’m very happy how these gitz turned out! Now I just need to do the shield arms and the two models that I gave an isopro bath a while back.

Kitbashing Suggestions?

Howdy! I heard recently that Christopher Paolini is working on an Inheritance ttrpg as a side project but cannot make any miniatures or other merch specific to it cuz of Disney owning the merchandizing rights. So, I thought maybe I could do some kitbashing for use in such an RPG.

I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions for things that could concievably be kitbashed into some Inheritance minis? Could be Urgals, could be monsters, could be regular common Galbatoran troops, whatever feels appropriate. Most of this is far-off future projects, mind, I am currently working on some AoS and 40k minis while I build up my skills.

I know some folks suggested that perhaps the Beastmen models for Warhammer ToW could be used as Urgals, but I would want to hear what the experts have to say about that first.

So, there couldn’t have been many Dragon Riders, yeah?

I’ve been reading a copy of the illustrated edition that I got for my birthday, and a thought just occurred to me: There couldn’t have been all that many dragon riders before Galbatorix, right? Because there were only thirteen Forsworn, counting Galby himself. It strains the imagination to suppose that if there were, say, hundreds or even thousands of dragon riders at the time, thirteen people would have been able to exterminate them all down to two guys and one dragon, especially with no order 66 equivalent. Even with the justification of Galbatorix using some dark magics, he was a relatively inexperienced, and therefore magically weak, rider, as were most of the Forsworn. Compare this to how much power Eragon has by the end of the series with only around five years of experience. I feel like there were only maybe a few dozen dragon riders at the time of Galbatorix’s fall, 70 and some change at most. Am I off base here or am I making sense?

Enfleshed Kruleboyz!

I have added the Orruk Flesh skin to the Kruleboyz and washed in thinned down biel-tan green! Over the next couple days I need to do some touch ups and cleaning anywhere I nicked, then final details like eyes and teeth, and then base em up and do shield-arms.

u/storyteller323 — 2 months ago

Moving onto skin!

Continuing with my Kruleboyz Gutrippaz, I have touched up, shaded and now am working on the skin. I’m already going to have to go back for more touch ups because I accidentally zinged a couple places with the Orruk Flesh i’m using, but overall I think this is actually looking pretty good! Next up, I need to finish the skin, do some touch ups, shade the skin with thinned Biel-Tan Green, paint in teeth and eyes, base the minis with Stirland Mud, and then wrap up by doing the shield arms.

Next step on Kruleboyz!

Spent today painting leathers and twining in Mournfang Brown, cleaning up any mistakes, and then applying metallics! Tried to clean up the standard bearer’s skin with Grey Seer, but that was MUCH brighter than my primer here, and I accidentally thinned the paint too much, and it just overall was not looking great, so he went into the isopro bath. Made a couple of mistakes (that one guy with a hook in his pants had me accidentally zing the loincloth, so I’ll need to cover that up again), but overall I think I did quite well. Gonna spend tomorrow getting the rest of the metallics painted, doing some cleanup, and then applying the Earthshade on all the browns and the metallics to make everything as dinged up and dirty looking as these misplaced LOTR orcs deserve!

Started Work on some Kruleboyz using the Warhammer youtube painting guide, and I’m feeling quite proud of my progress so far!

Got a Kruleboyz Spearpoint box last week and the last of the paints I needed arrived today, so I got started on them, and I think I have done quite well so far! Especially when taking into account that this is all over a period of four hours, and I’m a relatively quite new painter. I used Steel Legion Drab for the loin cloths and Thondia Brown for the wood and hoods.

Looking for STLs

Hiya. I’m thinking of starting a Stormcast army some time in the future, and I am trying to find some STLs that fit the aesthetic I have in mind for them.

I am a big fan of the Knightly aesthetic, but unfortunately there is no direct aesthetic analogue to bretonnia in AOS, so I figured hey, why not make my own? Thus, I started cooking up an idea for a custom stormhost: The Green Dragon Knights, formed from the souls of heroic brettonian warriors in the world-that-was. Basically their color scheme is the same as the Hallowed Knights, just swapping out all instances of Blue with Green, but I want to further distinguish their aesthetic by them using different equipment that has a more knightly vibe, and I was wondering if anyone knew of some 3d printer stls that fit stormcasts I could use for this. What I need is:

  1. Heads: I do not like the Stormcast Eternals “Face Made of Metal” type of helmet, and it doesn’t fit the vibe that I’m going for, so I was wondering if anyone knew of some STLs for heads that had a more appropriate fit for this host’s theme, and fit Stormcast models.
  2. Equipment: The weapons that are most prevalent among the stormcast feel more “Fantasy barbarian” than “Knight.” Big warhammers, big axes, big round shields, etc. So, I figured I would engage in some reskinning. I want to swap out axes for swords (yes I know that some stormcasts can wield swords but it doesn’t seem to be too common), swap out hammers for maces, and swap out the round shields for kite shields. Does anyone know of some STLs featuring these weapons tailor made to be broadly usable in many stormcast models?
  3. Mounts: What does AoS have against normal horses? The Lumineth have their weird kangaroo things, the Sylvaneth ride bugs, and the Stormcast ride either wingless dragons or wingless gryphons, and while I’m fine with the former, I feel like replacing the latter with horses would better fit the aesthetic of this host, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any Stormcast-made STL files that replace the griffon things that the Pallador models ride with horses.

Thank you for reading, and any help with this search that you can offer, apologies if I was rude at any point or unreasonable without realizing, this is my first time visiting this sub and while I am interested in building a Stormcast army I do not have any yet because money is a bit tight right now, their spearpoint seems to have been taken off the store, and the Dominion box (I’m also building a Kruleboyz army and not all that interested in skaven) costs like 200 dollars on amazon.

Trying to figure out the practicals of some paint schemes

Hello! I intend on getting a Seraphon army sometime soon and I was trying to think of a paint scheme for them. Nothing wrong with the good old fashioned blue boys but half the fun of a faction composed of reptiles is that reptiles are obscenely colorful animals, so you can come up with a massive variety of color schemes by drawing from nature.

I have a few things already figured out for inspiration:

And that's all I got so far. While I like these ideas for color scheme, I can't really think of how to actually, you know, translate them from my brain to paint. Anyone have some suggestions for how I would translate these inspirations to the miniatures when I get ahold of them? Particular colors of paint to get (I prefer Citadel btw in case anyone wants to give suggestions), techniques for doing the painting, other inspirations for the remaining critters in the unit roster, anything really as I admit I'm still learning and getting down the foundations when it comes to painting. Thank you for the help!

Started on some Kruleboyz!

I decided to treat myself with a spearpoint box on my birthday and just finished assembling and priming the gutrippas! I’m going to start painting them in the next couple of days when some paints I need arrive in the mail. Wish me luck!
