Joke's over. I want to be a proper speedcuber

I have been cubing for 3 years and in that time I have learnt to solve a 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5. My main focus, however, and the first cube I learnt (as this is the case for most people) was the 3x3. I have been practicing non-stop specifically for the last few months, and even started a YouTube channel this week based on cubing, but that is beside the point.

In this time, my one aim is to be a "proper" speedcuber. Every 3x3 solve I do is usually from around 40 seconds to 50, maybe slightly more, but sub-1 minute. But every time I go onto Reddit, or I go onto YouTube, there are people casually saying they have an average of less than 15 seconds as though it's the most normal thing in the World. But it's not normal to me, it's an insatiable dream and having been stuck at this kind of average with a personal best of 33 seconds is really hard.

I know I'm not "bad", and I'm not a "noob", but I am certainly not a pro. I have watched video upon video about how to get faster, and the ultimate tip is to practice. I have been doing so for 3 years; it's not helping. I want to be taken seriously as a cuber- something which I don't get much of already as a female cuber because it is a typically male hobby. And, I really, really want to help others like me. I want to grow my channel and show that you can feel so locked in place but it is never too late to make a change. As of now, I just don't know how to.

If you have any tips, suggestions, advice, methods I should try out, anything at all that isn't already getting bashed into my mind (PRACTICE.), please. I am ready to become a speedcuber, after way too long of being desperate.

EDIT: Thank you for all of the advice, I'm so grateful for everything you guys have given me. I promise I have read every single comment and am in the process of taking these into account! I just did the entirity of F2L for the first time and Im so happy with myself!

What if we got every last person in the World in one room, we all spoke with each other for 24 hours and then worked to make a ranking of everyone on planet Earth

Has anyone else created their own language

I have a friend who's autistic, along with myself, and apparently it's a very typical autism thing to start making your own language. I made a couple of words a few years ago and I have just picked it back up again and been able to form a few sentences, plus this friend is learning with me haha

Has anyone else done this, how far has it gone and can you say a sentence or so in it?

Trying to make one of those water slides where the floor drops out at the top

So I'm by no means a redstone expert and I have recently started working on a water park project. I didn't know what those slides are called where you stand at the top with your hands crossed and then the floor drops out when a worker presses a button but I found that they're called trapdoor slides, so when I looked for an MC tutorial all of the results were based on literal trapdoors, lol. However I want to use something potentially more complex that involves sticky pistons that pull one floor block out of a 5x5 ground, so that I can press a button from the outside and the block is pulled out, then goes back in again automatically almost right away but with enough time for the player to fall, of course.

Could someone help me, ideally in the next couple of minutes so I can continue working on my slide!!

Why do duplets exist when we have dotted notes?

I have noticed recently that the point of both duplets and a pair of dotted notes (of equal length) are to add half of the note's length onto it (for e.g., two dotted crotchets are worth three quavers; two crotchets in a duplet spread amongst three beats will make them both three quavers as well.) Does anyone know if duplets have a point other than to +0.5 of the note length or if we simply have both these and dotted notes due to circumstances that require specifically one or the other?

Does anyone else absolutely hate saying peoples' names?

It's something I have found pretty impossible forever, I think the only people I can say the names of directly to their face is my close family, and it's a really frustrating issue to have because I can be so desperate to say something to someone but they might end up not knowing I'm talking to them; which isn't their fault obviously but it really sucks to try and explain because it sounds so weird to say I hate doing something that's as basic as breathing for everyone else. Does anyone else relate and how can I overcome this?

Other than ANYTHING romance related, what do you write about?

I feel like 90% of the music I come across now is about either having a crush, being in a relationship or experiencing a breakup. I understand that songwriting is about getting your feelings and passions off your chest, but it feels like every time someone shares music online, there is just that guarantee that it's another love song and it would be nice to have a bit more variation of topics. I have found myself writing about death, exclusion in friendship groups and just being an introvert in general, but I really want to hear from other people about this.

Separating the art from the artist?

What are your thoughts on listening to the music just for the music, or does the artist's personal life mean anything to you and does that affect your feelings on their art? Does it change your opinion on whether this is truly art if its themes are cruel, like d4vd, because knowing what he did now it's honestly sickening to me that music as an outlet that literally heals people in hard times but no one knew he was an awful criminal. What do you think?

What's your Ys ranking?

I became a fan a couple of months ago after hearing a snippet of Only Skin and then I checked out the whole album and it's been on repeat since. I struggle to decide on a ranking because they're all such perfect songs and I can't listen to them alone, because I feel like the album altogether feels like one experience, but my favourite at the minute might be Cosmia or Monkey & Bear but it changes pretty much every time I listen

Do you think Joanna will tour again?

I only became a fan a couple months back but I love Joanna so much and it would be so great to see her live, does anyone have any thoughts on this
